Slippery Scales of Decipet

Emma nodded "Alright." She replied, heading over to help set up the furniture. It took a lot of time out of the morning, but they managed to set up several chairs, a dresser, a desk with another chair at it, and several light fixtures around the walls of the cave. It started to look more like a home, rather than just a cave.

He smiled , feeling himself accomplished for helping he in this way. He looked around, "now if we can,we can make a small spot to store food for winter or droughts."

Emma nodded "Ah, that's good thinking. Where do you think we should make it, and out of what?" She asked, looking around the cave as well.

Emma shrugged "I don't have any proper axes around here, I've never needed one. The Humans are the ones with those." She told him.

"Right, that's fine. It's still a good idea, though, I'd like to see if we could pull it off somehow." Emma said.

He nodded and looked around, finding a bit of string. He began to weave them together, pulling them into a large bundle and tying them together. He dried them, then began to entwine them. He soon had a large saw. He embedded tiny pieces of rock inside them, and thne smiled, "I think this will work."

((I'm a scout, and I literally did this before and it worked))

(Wow, that's impressive ( :o ))

"Hmm, I see..." Emma said, examining the tool Aaron had just hand-made for himself "And this will cut down a tree?" She asked, seeing it but still unsure if it'd actually work.

He looked a tit, "It'll take a long time, but it'll actually cut eventually." He showed her how the interlocking strings were taught, and the stone shards cut in the wood every so often, "...I might be here a long time though."

"Well, I suppose if you're confident it'll work eventually, it's worth a shot." Emma replied "How long do you think it'll take, exactly?"

"A few hours at the least, but I can try." He looked down, "Gah, I just need ot think about it. Can I work a little bit?" He asked, blinking.

Emma nodded "Of course, go ahead. Knock yourself out. Let me know if you need anything." She told him "I'll just be nearby."

~After a Long Time~

After what seemed like a day, the tree finally fell. He looekd at it and smiled, realizing that he was able to drag this in himself. He pulled it into the cave.

Emma, hearing the tree crash to the ground, headed over to help him move the tree into the cave. The whole time, she was surprised "Wow, that actually worked." She commented, as they were moving the tree "I can't believe you actually cut a tree down with some rocks and string."

He nodded, "But... it wasn't... very... easy..." He was panting and sweating, but he felt accomplished. He looked down, "Will this fit? If not... I can cut it down..." He looked down, realizing that he was in for a long time.

Emma looked at the tree, and then at her cave "...Well, we could get it in there, but then we'd kind of be stuck in the cave until we moved it out of the way. There's no way a tree like this is fitting in my cave, unfortunately." She told him.

He sighed, "alright, I'll go back and start to saw this thing uip into a small wall to put the food in." He sat down and began to rub the thing again, cutitng into it. He shivered, "I'll be done... at some point."

Emma looked at the sky and saw the sun starting to set "...You know what, you're probably tired after using that thing to cut the tree down. How about we sleep for the night, and you can work on it more tomorrow? It doesn't have to be done in one day, after all." She told him, gesturing to the cave to let him go in first.

He looked to her, "Well, I just thought it'd be a little easier for you if I did it today. I mena, that's your own decision." He looked to the bed, then slowly slid into the sheets.

"Well, it may be easier for me, but what about you? Judging by how long it took you to cut down the tree, if you try to cut through it again, you'd be up all night with no sleep." Emma reasoned, climbing into bed along with him "Don't overwork yourself, you know?"

He looked at the tree, "I can work, I don't mind." He was determined to do something. He stood up and walked over, weakly sawing at it. He made little progress, yet he still kept himself at a decent pace in order to work.

As Aaron got up from the bed to work on the tree, Emma grabbed his leg with her tail "Hey. Sleep, now. Work, in the morning. Okay?" She said, simply, before dragging him back into the bed "Nothing has to be done as soon as you can possibly do them; Think like that, and you'll burn yourself out much too quickly, see?"

He tried to fight, but her grip was so strong her coudln't move. he sighed, "Fine, fine!" He huffed and sat dwon, giving inot her grip

Emma wrapped her tail around him again, giggling a little bit "At first this measure was to keep you from running away from me. Now, it's... Well, still the same, but for a completely different reason."
