Fantasy Slayers: Modern Maniacs

(Takao and Terra went on a date, Jane and Luke sparred and Luke ended up revealing his true self to Jane. Amelia had a hugeeeeee adventure by herself, filled with action, comedy, and love.)

(So here's what you missed on Glee: mushy mooshy goo goo didn't end well between Luke and Jane because Jane got raped by a jock and Luke doesn't like being rejected. He also said that he was tired of having to act like a jock because that's what everyone expected him to be like. "You know maybe we would be able to talk or have conversations like this if you would stop treating me like I'm every other football player." Amelia snooped around the library until she found a book to learn the secrets Mr. Grey wanted to hide from her. Terra and Takao took the car from the Pit without permission to get some alone time on the beach, and that's what you missed on - Glee!)

(Yay for romantic gushy gushy! Next time on Glee!: Will Luke and Jane find common ground? Will Takao and Terra have a good date, or will it be a dumb "beach of a day". Amelia figures out a secret of Mr. Grey? And will Conner reach level 50 on call of duty!? Who knows!

(the better question is, will Conner reach level 90 in WoW? Find out next on - Glee!)
As Jane stood on her balcony, singing her song that was softer than all music she listened to, she leaned against the rail and closed her eyes, unaware of any bystanders listening, or any of the kids she babysits on occasion, or even the ever so rare jock that's trudging his way home.

"I'll try though I might stem the flow of fate, still its sands slip away from me

But there you were to help me bear the weight, and in my heart you shall always be

Let my prayer reach through them now to you, warriors of the heart and soul

Keep your chins up ever so strong, listen to the fire burning in your heart

And welcome the new dawn with your song"
Jane sang at her balcony. (Lyrics I wrote forever ago, lol)

Conner decided on what he was going to do, get better aim. Call of Duty and Battlefield made it seem so easy, but in actuality, it was very hard. So, off he walked with his shotgun to the firing range inside the Pit (just assuming there is one.) and practiced. At first, the only time he was able to hit the target was some stray pellets. But eventually, he got better and was able to get a decent enough shot cluster.

Jane sang her song loud, attracting a few kids she babysat on her street, the smiled at her as she sang on her balcony, her eyes closed. Jane poured her heart into the song she sang. A few other people stopped to listen to the tomboy sing her beautiful song.

Dance passed by without a hitch. No hyperventilating, no announcements for Amelia to report to a strange teacher's classroom, no undead horde to fight off. It was well-deserved time Amelia needed to relax and unwind in a way. Sure, she had to focus and spend energy doing it, but it was rather mindless in comparison to the daily trials of being a Slayer. And she had only been a Slayer for two days! She took a deep breath to steady herself as the weight of her newly inherited responsibility pressed on her conscience once more.

As she stepped out of Mrs. Littlehale's SUV into her own driveway, she waved and thanked her neighbor for the ride home. Her daughter, Gracie Littlehale, was Amelia's best friend, and yet it seemed like the two had grown miles apart over the past two days. The SUV pulled away as Amelia opened her front door, the headlights blinding her slightly as she turned to wave to the ladies Littlehale one last time.

Once inside her house, Amelia moved swiftly to avoid contact with her parents. She grabbed the dinner plate her father had left for her in the microwave as usual and tiptoed upstairs to her room to eat in privacy. Amelia uncovered the food (bangers and mash with a side of broccoli) and ate it quietly, her mind quite at ease. It wasn't until she was setting up to do homework -she forgot she didn't have any - that she remembered the thin book she had smuggled out of the Pit. She spent most of the night trying to understand what the words meant in the book. It seemed like it was describing a magic spell more than how to decipher an code.

"Hogwash," Amelia said to herself, sliding the book off her bed as she rolled over, tired. She had read the thing several times over and still couldn't make heads or tails of it. It spoke about clearing one's mind and channeling the aether or something, but it didn't say much more than that. There was even a series of drawings for gesturing over the code and watching it decode itself. Amelia found herself crazy enough to try it a few times, but nothing happened. Perhaps it was because she didn't a crystal prism like in the picture.

"Yeah, right," she said with a yawn. She hadn't a shred of magic in her. No mere stone would change that. Amelia shut off her light and pulled the blankets over her. Sleep overcame her as she listened to a wild animal howl in the distance.

(@Huntrey @MysticPisces @Beowulf @KroNicc115 @CloudKitteh TIME LEAP, AFTER SCHOOL THE NEXT DAY. ITS WEDNESDAY! MR GREY WASN'T IN SCHOOL TODAY AND THE SLAYERS HAVE ALL GATHERED IN HIS ROOM FOR A MEETING DISCUSSING WHY HE WASN'T THERE)

Jane walked into Mr. Grey's room with a calm sense about her. Mr. Grey wasn't in school today...she was curious. The others were already inside the room. "Sup guys. So, anyone got a clue why Grey wasn't in school today?" She asked the group.

"No idea, Do you think something could have happened to him? I hope hes alright.." Takao looks a bit worried as to what may have happened to Mr. Grey.

Amelia held her bag tightly as she stepped into Mr. Grey's classroom, afraid that the borrowed books might suddenly fly out and give her a scolding in Mr. Grey's voice in front of the others. She looked awfully guilty to anyone that viewed her, but she tried to act nonchalant. "I don't suppose he's just... sick with the flu?" Amelia asked nervously, playing with her hair so her hand would have something to do.

Jane shrugged. "I'm worried...teachers usually have a reason for missing. I asked the sub and the principal, neither of them knew why he wasn't in." She said.

"Perhaps he's taking a personal day." Conner said as he pushed up his glasses, even though he didn't have to. "I know the school year just started, nut something might've come up that he needed a day off."

"Mr. Grey and 'personal day' can only mean trouble, if you ask me," Amelia said a bit too loudly. She looked towards the door, half expecting Mr. Grey to enter suddenly or for some random passerby to question what exactly they were doing there after school. "Not... that anyone asked me," she added sheepishly.

Luke walked in, his clothes were a tight under shirt and a pair of shorts, of course running shoes completed the combo. He had a duffle bag in hand, which obviously held his normal clothes, for he had just came from a workout. "Maybe he just needs a vacation from us.".

"After only two days....yeah, I could see that." Jane commented to Luke. "I strongly believe he lives int he Pit. I mean, did you guys not see the apartment-like features? Safe bet he's there." She said. "Should we check it out?"

"Can't we take a personal day?" Amelia asked. "Goodness knows we could really use the after school time. Sooner or later, we're going to have a football game, you know." Amelia said pointedly to Jane, reminding her that she had other obligations to attend to. Amelia stood up, piccolo case in hand and moved closer to the door.

"Amelia, it's Wednesday. No Marching Band practice today. Remember, big sign in the band room saying so?And I thought you were smart." Jane spat at her. She threw her backpack over her shoulder. "Now, I'm heading to the Pit. Anyone who wants to come with is more than welcome." She said to everyone.

"I'm in!" Takao looked happy to be taking a break to see what was going on. He was curious. He looked over to Terra (@CloudKitteh ) and smiles with a wink, almost as a gesture to have her join him.

Luke turned away from the invitation, its wasn't meant for him anyways. Instead he stayed in place, waiting for the pit bound group to leave. No doubt Takao would say for him to come, but it would take more then that.
