Fantasy Slayers: Modern Maniacs

Luke let a sigh of relief out as the woman faded away completely, "Takao, come on tough guy, I'm sure you have enough strength to go out with Terra today.". This was to completely repay him for all the lovers comments he was getting from this guy, as it was said in a matter-of-fact voice. He looked down at Jane, then using his staff, got up and headed into the bigger room. As he exited he remarked to the group, "I think we could use this time to train our minds and bodies, but otherwise I'm staying with Jane.". With this he left the room, entering the weapons room with the books and computers. He was prepared to train as he awaited Jane to wake up, and a very selfishly hoped that no one would disturb the two.

Terra shot a glare at Luke, a small smile on her lips when he mentioned he was staying with Jane.

"You okay, Takao?"

Takao sits back up in remarks to Luke's comment. "You know what, he's right. Terra what are you doing tonight? Maybe we can hang out, I-i'd rather not go home anyway." He blushes and realizes she has no idea its his birthday.

Amelia seemed to be the only one that wanted to go back to school. It was where they were supposed to be. "We can't just slack off," Amelia said to anyone that would listen, but that didn't seem to be anyone in the Pit. What about their futures? Being a Slayer wasn't going to pay their way through college, and it certainly wasn't helping their attendance record.

If Jane were conscious, she'd be arguing with Amelia. But Amelia was right...Jane didn't wanna miss school on the second day, and she didn't want to miss practice again. After all, there was a football game on Friday. (It's Tuesday in the RP btw) But Jane needed to rest...she was healed, but still recovering.

"Amelia, we need to relax. Racking my brain over whether to use the transfer or the reflexive property doesn't sound to relaxing to me." Conner said as he dropped of his shotgun. Really though, they are saving the world, they deserve this.

Jane was resting on a table in the weapons room, with Luke not far away. He was right below her doing various workout, considering he was the only one who wanted to stay in shape. He had already lost his shirt, and after some time took off his jeans to reveal his workout shorts. With a series of warm ups done he took his staff and began trying to use it in sync with his javelin. This resulted in failure, which led to him trying another series of weapons.

Jane tossed and and turned on the table. Luke was in a room close to her so she couldn't hear him training. While the others were going about their business in the Pit, debating on whether or not to go to school or stay in the Pit, she slowly started to awaken. Her eyes fluttered open and she sat up, rubbing her forehead. She looked at her ankle. "What? I'm healed? But...it was..." She rambled to herself, unaware that Wynonna had been there.

Takao stands up still feeling a bit weak. Blush wiped across his face. "Is everything okay Terra, Did you not want to hang out tonight?"

"Lets just leave it at Mr. Grey helped to heal you." Luke didn't take his eyes off the ground as he did his push ups, knowing looking at her wouldn't help anything. "Welcome back, miss me?" This was dry, not like his usual flirting, but more of him forcing it out.

Takao looks her in the eye and she can easily see the blush on his face and he grabs her hand gently. "Well allow me to be the first to show you, If I may?" He smiles brightly.

"I uh...how long was I out?" She asked, looking around and glancing at Luke doing his push-ups. She hopped off the table, her ankle still a bit sore, but healed.

Amelia threw her hands up in frustration. Once again, she seemed to be the only one thinking logically. What would others start to think of them? What of her perfect attendance record? For the second time that day, Amelia stormed off in a huff, sure that she was the only one thinking logically. But then she stopped and looked at herself for a moment. Torn, burned up, bloody dress. Hair in a dreadful state. "On second thought," she said aloud, "I think I'll just study here."

Amelia went to find a dark corner to be alone in so nobody would see her in her current state. It was silly, she knew. They had seen her this disgruntled and disheveled before, but she didn't want them to think of her like that. She sat there silently for a while, trying to think of things that made her feel better instead of worrying about the current state of affairs. Finally, after about fifteen minutes, she stopped ringing her hands nervously enough to open up the reference book that had appeared with her when she had put on her ring.

It had a lot of useful information, but there was only so much Amelia wanted to know about trolls. Their mating and rearing habits were interesting, but not something she was actively engaged in learning about. The other book she had was so much more appealing, even if she couldn't read it.

"Yet," Amelia said to herself, a mischievous smile playing across her otherwise innocent features. She found a scrap piece of paper and a pen from her purse and tried to see if she could decipher the strange language in the book as well as pore over the images of people with immense power and the horrible creatures detailed within.

Takao smiles as she gives her response. "Hmm, well we could go out to eat, or go to the beach maybe and have a nightly beach walk. That would be cool. Its up to you though, No matter what I'll be happy."

Luke got up, flipping his hair back slightly to remove some sweat, "You have only been out for a little bit, we just came back, you slept a little in my arms, a lady came and healed us, and then everyone went and did their own thing." Luke's voice was calm, not reflecting his normal attitude, but he didn't show signs of worry when she jumped down from the table.

"Well, let's go to the beach, then," she smiled, reddening slightly. First date? hangout? Well...I'm glad it's with Takao

Jane nodded. "Hmph. A blunt summary, but better than nothing." She said, observing him. She removed her ring from her finger, causing her bloody clothing to be replaced by the clothes she had on this morning. She was clean now, her swords appeared back on the weapon wall. "Huh, well I'll be damned, it worked." She said while slipping her ring into her pocket. "Well...thanks for helping me." She said to Luke.

"Fearless leader remember, it's my job." He turned his back to her, picking up his staff and returning to his movement, partially hurt that the first day he could say whatever he wanted, and now he was stuck with broad messages.

Takao held her hand gently as he stood up off of the table he was on. "Well lets go then. Wait..my car is still at the school..How do we get back there anyway..?"

Jane noticed Luke was being...different. She picked up a staff as well, this one made of plastic, or wood...she couldn't tell. "Hey, Luke, wanna spar a bit?" She offered, twirling the staff around like a pro.
EDIT: the " after pro is gone, sorry 'bout that

"Hmm...let's 'borrow' the batmobile in the Pit," she suggested, feeling warm. "I'm sure Mr. Grey won't mind if we return it."

The car was a good option for Terra and Takao. Looked practical enough and all they needed was just one of their rings for its ignition. Plus...they probably wanna take off their rings, just to go back to their clothing that's not...bloody. Jane twirled the staff around some more, posing a friendly challenge for Luke.
