Fantasy Slayers: Modern Maniacs

Luke pulled Jane up, not wasting time to pick her up completely. He didn't care that she resented her, he was the leader, and if she didn't like well then tough luck. "Once again the lugheaded jock has saved you." He said very calmly, not making eye contact as he began to walk to the others.

"Thank you..." Jane said, thankful to get off of her foot. She had a sound of genuine gratitude in her voice. She looked over at the re-dead bodies on the ground. "Should we burn these corpses, too? Ya know...for god measure?" She pointed out to the group.

Takao looked over to Amelia who had the powder. "I mean..it would be a safe bet..Who knows..we could be back here again killing them like the trolls. Amelia made a good observation and for that I thank you." He smiles to Amelia then back to Terra who is still helping him walk.

"Conner and Amelia, our resident geniuses, what do you think?" He lifted Jane up, she was slipping every so often, but Luke made no effort to let her go.

Jane adjusted herself in Luke's arms. She was exhausted after that fight. It seemed like the zombies mostly attacked her...oh wait...they did. Jane was sore, her ankle was bloody and she was in the arms of the jock she otherwise couldn't stand. He's not so bad...he's actually very sweet...I should talk with him later. She thought.

Terra ignored Luke's comment and continued helping Takao walk. Grey really needs to get us a better transportation method. We can't keep doing this forever.

Takao looks up at Terra and half smiles while blushing. He speaks under his breath to Terra. "Thanks for helping me Dear..Todays been a long day"

A blush dusted over her features. "Anyone of us would've helped you. I should be the one thanking you for saving my life."

Jane rolled her eyes, growing impatient from the lack of the brains of the group saying whether or no they should burn the bodies. "Ya know, their brains are separated from the bodies, they're dead. Let's just go back to the Pit." She said, slurring words. The loss of blood from her ankle was making her a little woozy. It was a good thing Luke was carrying her. She rested her head onto his chest, ready to just pass out.

"I-i agree lets just go.." He starts to walk with Terra holding him up to make sure he is ok. Takao starts coughing a little bit and is a lot more dizzy. Terra could easily feel that he was getting hotter to the touch.

Luke saw the blood begin to stain his rib cage, where her leg was resting. He leaned down as he walk, "I need you to bite down on my wrist, I'm going to stop the bleeding." He lifted his wrist to her mouth, still letting his forearm carry her. The other hand was moved lower as to let him reach her ankle, waiting for the pain from her canines.

Jane thought biting his wrist was weird. But she did so. She hissed once he stopped the bleeding. She let his wrist from her mouth, she didn't bite hard, she didn't wanna hurt him. She glanced ahead. "I see it! There's the Pit!" She called.

"Thank god finally.." Takao is very weak at this point and is still bleeding from his shoulder.

He led the group through the garage, the slayer mobile still in its place. "Mr. Grey!" He called for the teacher as he slouched against the nearest wall. Luke relaxed his grip on Jane, at this point not caring if she stayed there or not. His face was calm, trying to view everyone's wounds, but inside he was completely worn out. The last attack to save Jane had really wiped him, maybe because of all the emotion, or maybe because he stuck a pole straight through a spine, either way he was tired.

Jane was lightheaded. "L-Lu...Lu..." Jane started to say, but her lightheaded-ness sunk in and she passed out in his arms. Her head slung against his chest. It was still in-school hours, Mr. Grey was at Hilltown High. The group was alone in the Pit. But at least all the supplies they needed were there with them.

"Terra leave Takao here, go inside and get the medical supplies you need." It wasn't a harsh order, but more a plea as Jane passed out. He looked back to Jane, and in a whisper spoke into her ear. "Come on now, I was just starting to be the leader you wanted. If you wake up I'll stop being an annoying flirt bag, I won't call you beautiful, I won't even talk to you. I know you don't like me, but I still can't have you sleeping on the job.".

Jane breathed slowly in her 'sleep', her head rested against Luke's chest. She looked so pitiful, so tired. The marks left my the zombie on her ankle her intensifying, not infecting her with a virus since it was magic that made the zombies, but simply....giving her a nasty booboo, to put it simply.

((Gah! It finally happened to me! The notifications didn't show up D: ))

Amelia panicked slightly at the sorry state the wounded were in. They couldn't count on Mr. Grey showing up because it was still during school hours, so they would have to fend for themselves. Her mind was racing, trying to think of any survival or first aid training she might have had in the past. She thought to a book she had gotten a while back, one that her father kept in the bathroom for toilet reading or something. Oh, what was it? Ah, yes! The Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook! Scenario 25: How to Escape When Under Fire. Not quite accurate, but the basics were still there when treating a gunshot wound. "Stop the bleeding, start the breathing, protect the wound, treat for shock," Amelia chanted over and over again, waiting for Terra to return with supplies. "Stop the bleeding, stop the bleeding," she kept saying. "Terra, hurry!" she shouted, kneeling by Jane's side.

"O-okay." The girl hurried inside and grabbed what her arms could carry. She headed out, looking worried. "Luke, try to stop the bleeding and bind Jane's wound with these bandages." She tossed a roll, a bottle of water, and clothes to the boy. "When you're done, tell me." Terra bent down and faced Takao's back. She produced a water bottle and some clothes. The girl soaked the clothe and applied it under Takao's shirt, earning a hiss from him. "Amelia! Keep this pressed against his back! Do the same, Luke, but to Jane's ankle!"

((I have to go to sleep. G'night guys!))

"Luke," Amelia said sternly, grabbing the bandages from his grasp rather forcefully, "Let me handle this. You need rest, too," she said, her voice still commanding, but less harsh. She rinsed Jane's wound with fresh water and scrubbed it lightly with the cloth to remove some of the dirt and debris. "This might sting a little?" Amelia added after she had already started scrubbing. She didn't bother to look at Jane's face. No doubt she was on the receiving end of a death glare, if Jane was conscious yet. She then began to wrap the bandages around the wound, with a thick piece of cloth resting on top of it to stem the flow. She used her finger to check for tightness before securing the bandage.

"I'm no doctor, but this will do the trick for now, I think," Amelia said as she examined her work. "We still need to treat for infection," she said quietly. Then as an afterthought, she added, "And for shock. Make sure she's awake, Luke."

"Oh-Okay." He watched as she began to work and at the mention of it stinging he allowed his wrist near her mouth just in case. Then he was told to wake her up, he shook Jane lightly. "Jane you have to wake up, Miss Amelia said so, and I know you wouldn't want to disrespect her.".

Jane was nowhere near conscious. She's lost enough blood to pass out, yet thanks to Amelia's work, and Luke's care, she should be fine.

(Let's stop here tonight guys! I'll see you all tomorrow so we can continue!! NIGHT!)
