Within the Depths of a Dream
======EDIT=====

OK, I have a few I ideas if this were to actually turn into an RP.

1. It takes place a few years after Alduin has been killed

2. I make a small group of people to do the main quest line so everyone has a role

3. It is as if Alduin never was sent back in time but dragons are still about (Either friendly or still hostile)

4. Everyone is the dragonborn, training under the greybeards (Then we would decide whether we want to include Alduin or not,)

5. Its a first come, first serve kinda thing where everything is fair game (I really don't like this option)

6. Other (Please specify)

I had posted this before but I have made some changes. The details are as below, and with any questions please ask!

Now before you begin I want to clear a few thing up. Fist and for most I do not intend for this to be a "First come first serve fight to win" RP. This being originally a single player game somethings are going to be hard to transfer. Major quest lines as in the Main story and Dawnguard. Any help with this would be VERY appreciated. So just ignore most things that state "First come first serve" but keep them in mind

OK here we go:

RULES:

  • This will be a Casual Rp so I would like AT LEAST 1 paragraph (5 sentences).
  • Please no Metagaming, Overpowered characters, and Mary suing. (I'm strict, deal with it)
  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stick to lore as best you can. I may modify some things to fit and rp of several people but for the most part its 100% Skyrim lore.
  • All RP Nation Rules apply
  • Language should remain decent (But I don't mind Skyrim related insults)

CHARACTERS:

Your character can be any of the in-game races. For your appearance, NO ANIME. Please if possible get a screenshot of them in-game then just describe the changes And I should mention that yes your race DOES affect your rp. As in:

Khajits:

  • Will talk in 3rd person unless they have a good reason not to
  • They are not allowed in cities. The main reason being that they are see as thieves.

Elves (All races):

  • Snow elves are gone the only one left isn't mating anytime soon.
  • The high elves tend to be full of themselves, if you rp as one expect lots of hate.

Nords:

  • They generally HATE the empire so I wouldn't suggest joining the legion.
  • Are in love with their mead.
  • Some aren't that fond of other races.

You get the idea.

DRAGONBORN:

You will have the option to rp as the dragonborn or not. If you chose not to then your character can’t know or do the following:

  • Meet with the greybeards
  • Obtain a word of power
  • You have no change at killing alduin (Other dragons maybe)
  • You can’t obtain dragon souls
  • No shouts
  • Do i need to continue?

WORDS OF POWER:

You will gain words of power as you would in game. Completing random dungeons and absorbing the word. Now, you can’t be walking along near whiterun and find a ruin like Ysgramor's Tomb you actually have to find them while rping. Also, when rping a dungeon DO NOT FADE TO BLACK THEN COMPLETE IT. Fight some druger, collect some loot and work for it. When at the word wall, how does your character react to obtaining a word? Does it give a rush of excitement? Possibly intense pain? That is all for you to decide.

ALDUIN:

Lets face it, we all can’t go and shove a nice sword in that giant scaly hide of his. Only ONE person will be able to defeat him. Some might say that isnt fair. Well you need to work up too it, not just get in the rp and your first post is something along the lines of

“Getting off of Odaving’s back (Insert name here) exclaims “Alduin is DEAD!” Villagers rushing towards them, Adorning (Insert name here) with Jewels and..”

Trust me, if you do this then most would slap you for meta. To decide who gets the glory of defeating him i will either:

  1. Make it a first come first serve.
  2. Randomly generate who will get the honor
  3. not have the option at all

Most likely B but we’ll see.

FOLLOWERS:

Now there will not be 18 million lydias running around skyrim. The followers will work like this, first come first serve. NO exceptions. If someone has already become thane for that hold then the jarl with either decline your application for thane or you will get a totally different house carl.

I may or may not have a spot on your Character application to reserve a certain follower but I make no promises.

GUILDS/QUEST LINES:

We all can’t be harbinger or obtain the skeleton key so the guilds and quest lines are going to have to be modified in a way. Because I know we all want that nightingale armor. Other that that i have no idea what the modification would be. If you have any ideas feel free to tell me.

WEREWOLVES AND VAMPIRES:

(For all of you who left your Twilight hatred at the door please go retrieve it. I am no fan of twilight so go right on ahead and rant to your hearts content)

You will be able to contract both of the diseases in more than one way. The first is your old gets attacked in the woods, 3 days later the infection has reached its full and you are either a vampire or werewolf. Now the quest line for the companions is another option but how that is going to be modified to fit more than one player is still unknown.

WOLVES:

If you are a wolf, you are affected by the following:

  • Lunar transformations (Ill try and list what phase the moon is on)
  • Silver- when touched it will burn, when wounded by a silver or silver laced weapon the wound will heal as if you were human.
  • Heightened senses (Smell, hearing, strength etc.
  • You don't have to be in the companions and I am making them obsolete for now

VAMPIRES:

  • You will contract vampirism as you would in game by having one use life drain on you. You can also get infected by having another person bite you.
  • Heightened senses
  • Sunlight will burn you unless your skin is covered. Your health and Magicka will be affected as well.
  • Anything I failed to mention

DAWNGUARD:

The RP will be played as in Dawnguard is installed. I'm not using dragonborn for the sole reason that I don't want people flying dragons and killing people with no time to react. The quest line is first come first serve and I'll tell you when I'm allowing it to be rped. And yes I love Serena too so expect me to be their at well.

MODS:

I think it'll stay vanilla for now but I'll add some mods (that go with lore) at request. Some I'm thinking of adding to the rp are:

  • Animated dragon wings and flight- the potion recipe will require more ingredients to make but if your born with the soul of a dragon, it would make sense. Right?
  • Various player homes- I'll think of some later. We don't want 12 people living in breezehome now do we?
  • Enhanced Khajiits and argonians- so they have feline like feet, Argonians talons.
  • Any suggestions that I dem "go with lore"
  • Maybe some quest mods but as of right now you have an empty journal to fill

They won't be added right away but when I think there needed or i get requests to add them then I will. If added I would announce to the whole RP what was added, who requested it and why it's needed.

If you are still reading, I thank you. Please be patient as this is a work in progress.

Aal hi paagol nau faadus klo,

It seems a bit odd that you make Shouts exclusive to the Dragonborn. I mean yeah, they're the person that can learn them the easiest, but it isn't implausible that someone would learn a Word Of Power or two after years of training. Ulfric himself did it, after all.

Well yes, that is possible. I can open it up if some people would want but you would have to limit your ability's. The shouts wouldn't come as easy to you and practice, practice, practice.

Hmh... Not all Nords hate the legion? I think you're simplifying things a bit. And you forgot that most Bosmer only eat meat due to the Green Pact, as well as Dunmeri worship of Daedra, those are two important points to anyone wanting to play one.

Also, what do you mean by Skyrim Lore? Do you mean -All- Elder Scrolls lore or are we leaving out things not mentioned in Skyrim? That seems a little reductive as well.

I mean no offence!

I think he meant that a large portion of Nords dislike the Empire, as opposed to a majority. I also assume that other Elder Scrolls canon is accepted, it's just limited to the province's story as opposed to say, Morrowind or Cyrodiil (seeing as the previous game took place centuries before Skyrim did)

First off "she" But you weren't aware so I don't really mind. Second, By lore I mean all lore in general. I may have to do some reading up so refresh myself but that's how it is. And for the races, I was aware that I missed tons of things but I just simplified it to give a general idea of what I meant. If I were to include everything into one post then it would be a mile long and take days to read through. And if you are playing that race and know that it does in fact effect your RP I would assume you would know a great deal on the race already without me explaining word for word.

Hmh... Well, I love Elder Scrolls in general, and I'm glad there's people who has the same interest! Seeing as the things I do enjoy however is not Dawnguard or the Vampires in general (except their connection to Molag Bal) I rather - if I'm allowed - play someone who's worships Clavicus Vile.

I don't know what you think about Daedric Champions, but seeing as someone is allowed to be the Dragonborn...?

You don't have to be the stereotypical vampire, nord etc. As for daedric champions, I'm sure there are enough daedra to go around. The will be most likely first come first serve. If not I'll think of something.

Then, if this is happening I'd love to be the Champion of Clavicus Vile - Not too powerful and definitely not boring.

Ok then, but if I were to get enough people interested then I would ask you to do this throughout rp.

So interested, but may my person be the DB?
Sure, I am still deciding if their should be mutable Dragonborn or not just so everyone has a chance to shout at someone :)

Hello, first time here. But I would vote 6. Because maybe we don't want to be the Dragonborn or be affected by the main storyline at all. Because I mean, some of us could be the Dragonborn, but you should make an option for the ones who don't. Including myself. But yes, I am looking for a Skyrim roleplay. I posted one but no one has responded or taken interest. Then I found this.

Ah, ok then. Then I would assume you would vote for 1 or 3 considering the main story line isn't involved and you wouldn't have to be dragonborn if you didn't want to. (Unless 4 is chosen)

Would you like me to cast your vote for 6 or 1 & 3?

@StoneWolf18 I like 3. Because it still implements dragons into a world that is supposed to have dragons but it doesn't really include the Dragonborn storyline (Main Story)

OK, glad to hear your interested!

So your including Daedra champions, what about scaled down Dragon Priests? Not from the game, so they wouldn't be floating undead of great power but newly formed cults. Since I'd like my character to be a new Dragon Priest.

Although if you don't like the option then I'm still interested. I'll just play the mad mage.

Ah I've never thought of that. I'll allow it. And from the choices on the previous page, what interests you?

Probably 2. Then whilst everyone hunts Alduin I'll be worshiping him and being a villain. *Evil laughter*
