The year is 2467, and the world has ended. Well, more specifically the earth has ended. It all started in 2130 when we, the humans, finally did what we always knew we would. We destroyed the surface. The earth, from the surface to about 20,000 up, was covered in noxious and radioactive gases and most resources were all but used up. But we are humans! We are strong, not to mention stupid. So we adapted. We created floating islands, reflections of the earth that was, that fly above the gas cloud. We travel about in sky ships. Since then we have advanced in technology, we now have the tech to give ourselves powers (ie laser glasses, mech wings, matter controlling bands, ect) Some use these for good, others for... less good. The sky pirates for example. Wanted by the law, a fun loving group with some issues with authority and a passion for causing trouble and finding adventure. Thats us by the way. Among the mischief making, the ship stealing, and the few times we do honest work, we are part of the daring few who don protective masks and go down to the surface to collect relics from the earth that was.
