Backstory: His parents were killed in a car accident, and he just arrived here. He doesn't remember much since he received minor brain damage during the accident.
Personality: Playful, kind, energetic, and very intelligent. He does play with his powers a bit to much however, and often gets in trouble for using them when he is not supposed to.
Likes: His powers, sparring, learning, food, weekends, free time, and his sword.
Dislikes: Spiders, Loud noises/high pitched noises (he will often drop to the ground due to his sensitive hearing, or his fear of certain sounds)
Appearance: Wade is very slim, and is about the height of most girls his age. He weighs very little, but is very agile. He is Caucasian. He has thin, light pink lips that go along with his slim eyebrows. Wade has brown hair, and brown eyes, with relatively long eyelashes for his age. (This does not mean freakishly long) An angular nose completes his face.

Backstory: His mom died while giving birth, and his father blamed him for it. Neglecting and physically abusing him. He was deemed an unfit parent, and when his powers manifested out of nowhere when he was four, he was sent here.
Personality: Cliche FIRE= Hot Head He is quick to anger, constantly picks fights, and is always in trouble.

Backstory: His parents were criminals, and went on to kill someone while robbing them. They were given 60 yrs in prison, and George was sent to the orphanage right after his powers manifested.
Personality: He is a very calm person, very patient and great with kids. He is probably the most mature in the group, and has been known to beat fire users time and time again. He is definitely not someone you want to mess with. He is extremely protective as well, so you don't want to mess with someone he knows either.
Likes: Children, making things out of ice, talking with friends, and going for walks/ entertaining children.
Dislikes: Ice Melting, distractions.

Backstory: Her mother died during child birth and ended up neglected by her grief-stricken father. Child services removed her from her father's custody and placed her in the orphanage.
Personality: Goofy, mischievous, imaginative, stubborn, and a little foolish. She is a bit too comfortable with her powers, often creating illusions with the intention of pranking other students and is infamous for lying about her powers and spinning tall tales about how she came to be in the orphanage.
Likes: Her powers, attention, sweets, fooling younger students, and sneaking out of class to go on adventures.
Dislikes: Class, rules, tattletales, and small spaces.
Appearance: (When she isn't covered in an illusion) She is is a short, slightly plump little girl with a round face, a button nose, almond brown eyes and a smile missing its front tooth. She has short black hair and knees almost always covered in scabs.

Backstory: Her father left when left when was young so she lived for most of her life with her mother and grandmother. While at first her magic went unnoticed eventually her superstitious grandma made the connection. Her mother was stressed mentally and financially, and horrified with her daughter's power so when grandma pushed her to give up Penelope away she agreed.
Personality: She is often cold and with drawn from the other students, though her intellect lead to her becoming an active student. Penelope hates her power and tries to use it as little as possible. She is needlessly suspicious about everything concerning magic and the orphanage and is convinced that they're hiding something.
Likes: Privacy, classwork, a good mystery novel, pianos, rule abiding students, and secrets
Dislikes: Her powers, nosy people, training with her spear, bats, and the orphanage
Appearance: She is tall and lanky with long light brown hair in an elegant braid. She has narrow eyes, an angled face, a pointy nose, and she wears glasses in front of two pale blue eyes. She looks like she hasn't slept in weeks, walks with a slump, and rarely smiles.

Personality: She is fun and sarcastic, she makes light of every situation and always hides her true emotions. She also is kind and selfless and helpful.

Backstory: She grew up in a very poor family. Her parents could barely take care of her. One day someone broke into their house. When the man said to hand over any money, he was angry to find out that Aaron's parents didn't have any to give. Out of anger the man killed both her parents and almost killed her. She however was able to get away by her mother protecting her. This happened at the age of 5.
Personality: She is very intimidating and can scare people very easily. She has anger issues, and is trying her best to get over them. Deep down however, she is very kind and caring.
Likes: Books, Pillows, animals, people who try to get to know her.
Dislikes: Loud noises, Sometimes she really hates her power, guns.

Backstory:
Thea is a long lasting member of the Orphanage. She has been there for 11 years, after her mother found out that she had her gift. Her powers are attuned to her emotions, becoming stronger as she gets angry. Thea had destroyed her house when she was nine. After another child had taunted her, she became angry and a roiling cloud of smoke blew through her town like a hurricane. Her mother had heard of the orphanage through an unnamed source, and dropped Thea off. Thea quickly became popular with the children, acting as their protector and mentor as her magic matured.
Personality:
Thea is a rather serious and stern girl with a soft spot for the younger children and members of the orphanage. She can come across as rather blunt, though she wants to be seen as someone every troubled person can come to for help and advice. Her rough exterior can be hard to get around at times, especially when matters are troubling her, though she's searching for someone who can balance out her personality with a kinder, softer one. Thea is extremely protective, and was trained in defensive arts, as her magic reacts strongly to her own emotions.

Personality: Lilli-Ann is an average happy-go-lucky kid. She loves meeting the new kids at the orphanage and tries her hardest to make everyone feel at home. She's a fun kid to be around and is quite smart for her age.

Backstory: Michael has been apart of the orphanage ever since he was two years old. His parents were police officers that were killed in heist by those that abused their magic. He has spent most of his time at the orphanage worrying about others and guiding them to control their abilities and hopefully help them to become astounding citizens once they leave.

Personality: Michael is a passionate young man that always goes out of his way to help those in need. He is gentle, caring, but isn’t above lecturing those of younger ages about the responsibility they hold due to their gifts.

Backstory: Bianca and her twin brother Asher were abandoned by their single mother. They haven't had any parental figure in their lives, and have only recently found Sky Reach as a place to stay and develop their powers. Bianca's powers manifested when she was 11, after a man tried to abduct her and her brother. It let them get away from him, and has since aided in helping keep them hidden. It was Asher's idea to come out into the open and to live in this orphanage, since his powers were getting to be too much for him to handle. Bianca agreed only to protect her brother, and now they are here.

Personality: Bianca is a very closed off person. She likes to get the job done without having any interruptions or other attachments. She is a very efficient person, but is also extremely closed off to anyone other than her brother. She has a hard time making friends with new people, even if she wants to. She reacts explosively to any angering situation, and has a rather short temper. It is difficult to get along with her.

Magic: Literally can just run really fast. His metabolism is much faster than the normal human body, so he has the ability to speed up his actions.

Ranged Weapon: Bow and arrow, though he doesn't prefer this

Backstory: Asher and his sister Bianca were abandoned by their single mother. Asher has had a hard time without a family in his life to support him, but has risen through his troubles despite this. Asher's abilities first arrived when he was 9. He had just woken up, and couldn't control his speed when he walked. He has since learned how to control his speeds, but it is still difficult for him when he is exhausted, as it is both mentally and physically draining. He hopes to find help in the orphanage, but finds it difficult to convince Bianca of that.

Personality: Unlike Bianca, Asher is a very outgoing person. He isn't afraid to make jokes or put himself out there. He rose out of his troubles differently than Bianca, and became the light to her dark. He is easy to get along with, but under his surface he holds a number of sorrows. He uses his happiness as a mask most of the time, and tries to always put up a strong front for his sister.
