Suggestion Site Translations?

Error 420

One Thousand Club
Hi, I think that, considering the growing number of international members of RPN, we should have translations for the site. I, for one, would love to use the site auf Duetsch, and I think it might be easier for others to use the site's UI in their native tongues. Obviously, translating the RPs won't be possible, but it might open the site up towards RPs that are more accepting of non-English speakers, or people who prefer a native language. I'm sure that you could hire translators for the UI, but I'm certain that there may be people here on RPN who speak other languages and would be thrilled to help out.

I'd like to hear the perspective from both Staff (if possible) and non-native English speakers, so any staff can gauge the level of interest for the translations.

Here's a site rule that's relevant:
English Only - Content posted on RpNation is expected to be written in the English language. Roleplays posted on RpNation must utilize the English language (outside of in-character dialogue). RpNation chat requires English to be used in all conversations. This assists staff members to moderate content effectively and fairly.
----- Minor Elements of posts, such as: usernames, phrases, signatures and in-character dialogue, are not required to be English. However, users may be asked to provide an honest translation to a moderator upon request.

If it's not in English, then the staff can't moderate properly.

However, I don't know what the opinion is for translating just the UI. It would probably require more work than it's worth, but we'll see.

This is almost likely never going to happen.

Not because its a bad suggestion, its actually a good one and any community would always like to get more people from around the world. However being the niche we are, we don't make enough money off donations for things like this and the site is run entirely by volunteers. We'd never be able to moderate it and create the systems that would let cross language staff to communicate, like finding people with both, etc.
