Sins and Science

Jeino cocked his head in the doctor's direction.

"Yes, we should be there within the hour doctor. I hope you're ready to keep your cool, as we will be taking the back door through customs. My contact in the Japanese International Security Service will be getting us through. Just keep calm and say nothing," he explained, getting out of the chair and moving back into the aisle to pace.

"Once there, I'll pick up some supplies I need to blend, and then we'll pick up what you need. Now, here's the difficult part. We're going to pose as an engaged couple --marriage requires documents that I don't have the time to forge. The most useful force in espionage and survival is trust. You have to trust me, doctor. It will mean the difference between life and death," he explained.

"Now, to fool initial surveillance, I suggest you utilize the lavatory to cut and dye your hair --not black, as that will be obvious. Try red, or something unnatural."

The doctor listened to Jeino with a serious look. Like in most cases, shew was truthfully thinking about the pros and cos of all this. Not to mention she was evaluating whether his logic worked or not. For the most part, it did. It would probably be safer and easier for them to enter the country as an engaged couple. It also made perfect sense that they would have to trust each other. The change of hair, of course, would make things easier as well. Yes, all the logic checked out. That was the way the young scientist worked. Logic and analysis first. Feelings second.

And with that, the feelings started to present themselves. Her analytic stare changed to one with a mixture of emotions. Mostly nervousness though. The young woman was not sure she could pass through customs completely calm. Heck, she was not even sure if she could pretend to be his fiance. Amaris wasn't exactly a good actor. In fact, she was far from it. The girl was a scientist. She understood equations and scientific procedures. Not emotions.

So, with slight panic in her eyes, the woman nodded. She knew this was the best, and most logical course of action. Was she super happy about this? No, she wasn't. In fact, she didn't even want to change her hair color. Amaris was not the most feminine woman ever but her hair was something important to her. Maybe she wasn't that good with fashion, but she did know how to style her hair. Amaris straightened it, most of the time. Plus, she had never told this to anyone, but her hair had sentimental value to her.

"I guess you're right..."

Was all the woman said before she went over to the restroom and looked for the hair dyeing products. Really, she was not sure what color to pick. Then, an idea occurred to her. Amaris loved her hair and she hadn't actually dyed it before in fear of ruining it. However, if she was going to dye it anyway, she was going to do something she had wanted to do for a long while. The girl was going to dye the tips of her hair a different color. Plus, she could always dye it back, right? Although part of her hated the idea of dyeing her hair, she had no choice at this point. Like Jeino said, she was going to have to trust him that his plan would work. If part of that plan involved messing with her hair, then she would do so.

Almost an hour later, Amaris came back from the bathroom. Her hair was no longer completely straight, but wavy at the bottom. Her hair(http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/ef/42/26/ef422605790bc7082c3cbdecfb062f9a.jpg) was now dyed and the scientist had a worried expression on her face. Although it was quite unnatural, it would probably be the best course of action. After all, what scientist would dye her hair in such a manner? Despite the oddness, she thought it looked pretty good when she was finished with it, but maybe she was wrong. Amaris had never been confident of anything but her hair. Now that it was changed, she had no idea if it actually looked as good as she thought it did. And so, Amaris turned to Jeino with a serious expression on her face.

"Tell me the truth...does it look stupid?"

Jeino spent the time the good doctor was away cleaning his weapons. He studied each piece meticulously and made sure each and every component performed perfectly before slotting it all back together. When the doctor finally returned, he turned his eyes up from his project and examined her hair.

"It's perfect," he said, nodding his head for further affirmation. "And, I suppose it fits you --oddly enough," he added, tipping his head to the side slightly. Getting to his feet, he stashed all of his weapons away and prepared the luggage they would carry off of the plane.

"We will be landing in just a few minutes, so strap in and get ready. You will be taking this red duffel bag, and I will be taking this black one. When we get off, veer left --there should be a security car waiting there with my contact. He will be getting us through customs and into the country without any sort of question about our peculiar luggage and my attire," he explained.

Sitting back down in his seat once the bags were packed, he turned to look out the window just as they started to descend.

Amaris sighed in relief as he told her it was perfect. It surely served its purpose. She was also glad that it seemed to fit her. At least she knew she didn't look ridiculous. Once she heard his affirmation, Amaris nodded and smiled slightly. The girl wasn't that good at expressing her emotions after all. However, the fact that he thought the decision was good made her happy. And so, the scientist then got closer to see him pack away a bunch of guns. Instantly she got nervous. She didn't like weapons. Well, firearms anyways.

Amaris listened as Jeino told her what would happen. The more she heard about it, the more nervous she became. Especially when he gave her a bag that most probably contained the weapons she had just seen. Again, the girl wondered how she was going to pretend to be his fiance. This was going to be hard, wasn't it?

Just like him, Amaris sat down and buckled up for descend, preparing herself to act her part.

It's no problem, don't worry. If you want to continue this, I would love to reply :D

Real life comes first though, so I would understand if you don't have the time O:

Jeino went into the bathroom one final time to make sure the scarring on his face did not show through the application of liquid latex and makeup. The contacts hid his eyes well too, but only if nobody examined them too closely --the glow still permeated the edges of his covered iris, though only slightly. It would have to do for now.

The assassin secured the bags and sat back down in his seat, buckling up for landing. Outside, the sky rose and gave way to a tall city skyline as the plane descended towards the airport runway. A soft bump indicated ground contact, and mere moments later the jet slowed to a leisurely stop. It didn't bother taxiing into the terminal, a set of mobile stairs approached from the hangars.

"Ok, here we go," Jeino said, getting out of his seat and plucking the black duffel bag from the overhead. Crossing the strap over his shoulder, he moved to the door and pulled up the big red safety latch and pushed the door open. The next few minutes went very quickly, and just as he said. He descended the stairs --assumedly with the good doctor-- and hopped into a large black SUV with a nondescript driver. Without any conversation exchange, the vehicle drove off towards the staff security gate.
