• Being an intelligent man, Lewis McCloud had always known there was something vitally different about himself, compared to his peers and contemporaries. They were often as sharp as he was, and sometimes sharper, but that wasn't what stuck out. They were somehow less...vibrant. Their ideas were cold and calculating. His were exuberant and eccentric. He began to grow paranoid that there was something wrong with him, or heaven forbid, his chip. This led to self-induced schizophrenia, as well as depression.
  
  He is jaded and unconvinced of humanity's ability to continue on it's current path, and he lets it show when speaking to those around him. He often comes across as rude, or crass. In reality, he simply feels that his time is better spent on his "said, sad business" as he calls it.

• Lewis McCloud was born in Los Angeles a single day before it became law for children to be implanted. It was fairly easy for his parents to trick the government into thinking he had been implanted, and so Lewis grew. It became apparent to his parents a young age, that his lacking the implant was in no way a detrimental, as he kept up with, and often surpassed, all of his classmates. He was a literal genius, but as time went on, and people didn't recognize what he felt was "The beauty of reality", he began to grow bitter and distant from everyone.
  
  After college, his bitterness turned to paranoia that aged him prematurely and made him think that there was something wrong with his chip, and he operated on himself to repair it. This was when he discovered that he had no chip. That there was nothing wrong with him. That the error was with everyone else.
  
  He went into hiding later that day, finding himself in a camp with a few other lost souls without a chip. Something had caused them all to escape on the same day.... and Lewis was determined to figure out what.

  Standing at six feet and two inches with an athletic frame, the messy brown-haired man is hard to miss. He is usually dressed rather well, usually in a vest, dress shirt and pants. On average, Ryan hovers between one hundred and eighty to one hundred and ninety pounds. His eyes are the same hue as his hair. Skin tone is more pale than it is tan, though that's mostly due to a majority of his work taking place in the evening. He has no scars, piercings, tattoos or distinguishing features that would allow him to stand out in a crowd of people. Ryan does have a tendency to tape up his limbs, as they are usually used to strike others whenever he gets into a fight.

  Simply put, Ryan never lets anything get him down. There are no edgy bones in his body. He attempts to treat others with respect. People who do not show him such are not treated differently; part of his repertoire of skills includes knowing how to engage hostile forces with a slick tongue. The man is adept at keeping his emotions out of his personal responsibilities and never turns tail out of fear even when he does experience it. He is extremely self-motivated. While some people are completely put off by his open-book way of living life, others are quite inexplicably drawn to it. Ryan is also extremely savvy to statistics. For instance, through his own personal research he found that there doesn't seem to be much middle ground on the subject of himself. All the people he has had extensive exposure to throughout his life had proven one of two facts: either he annoys you, or you love him.

  In New York, two people in their forties had their first child. The man of the house worked in the government and doubled as a notary. His mother was formerly a doctor but now a stay-at-home wife, who often took care of duties whenever her husband was not around. Both of them were naturals, having never been implanted with technology. They wanted their child to be like them, without the hinderance of the UDM invading his everyday life. While they knew that Ryan would suffer hardships growing up as a result it was the choice they made nonetheless. Forging the paperwork was easy. Given his connections in the government to other naturals and with a large sum of money, Ryan's father was able to record that he had been implanted. This gave Ryan access to an entire world-full of advantages for those who let UDM into their lives while still operating under his own free will.
  
  However, it did not fall into place as easily as the man would have hoped. All throughout his educational career, Ryan was looked down upon for being unintelligent. He did not know any better. As a child, Ryan thought he had the same chance as everyone else. True, he was not as snappy as everyone as far as being able to answer questions. It seemed he had to work hard to get average scores on tests and spent a majority of his time studying and not properly remembering things. His lackluster grades made him a social pariah, not only in the eyes of his peers but in the eyes of his teachers as well. He was constantly told he would never be as good enough to hold jobs that made people rich. Ryan was constantly reminded of how the world still needed menial jobs, opting him to believe that he would be doomed if he didn't get a job as an entertainer. He would often get bullied, resulting in him getting his ass kicked often.
  
  In middle-school, Ryan started learning how to fight. He first joined a boxing gym. His love for the sport transformed into kickboxing, which helped him with cardio. In High School, Ryan got his third black belt in Jiu-Jitsu before abandoning his club and joining up in a mixed-martial arts gym to take his body to further heights. Originally, he thought he could make it big in as a stunt-double for big actors. If he could pull off ridiculous stunts and live, he would surely get paid for his troubles. A week after graduating high school with a 2.5 GPA he was hired for a part in a movie. Two-thirds of the way through shooting he propelled himself off of a building, down fifty feet. The mattress deployed was good enough for most, but Ryan ended up breaking his right arm due to a bad landing. After getting paid a quarter of the amount he had expected without further royalties, the teen decided that Hollywood was not the place for him. Five years later, Ryan was the head of a group of small-time bounty hunters.
  
  The small, shitty office doubled as his home but bringing in wanted criminals was something that paid extremely well.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:
Description: Alek's person is an ostentatious sight, with a head of long, grey-colored hair with a white streak through the front left fringe and a height of 6'0". His frame and lean, subtle muscle visible throughout his arms, legs, and abdomen especially. His skin is fair with a red undertone that bleeds through for a natural dusted blush around his cheeks, knees, elbows, and shoulders. His attire is stylish and monochromatic, favoring coats and blocks of black and white with a tiny pop of color. His dress is professional and form-fitting, reminiscent of the many stylings he is captured in as a model, His eyes are a steel blue color, the color more saturated in a small ring around the iris. From a distance, his eyes appear more silver than blue unless caught in the light in a certain manner.

Distinguishing Features: The most obvious thing about Alek is his hair - both an unnatural color with an even bolder white streak through it. Covered up, however, is the large tattoo that covers his left shoulder and half his back. The tattoo, a water-color depiction of black roses whose stem and thorns were digging into his skin. It is something he doesn't often reveal unless alone in the safety of his apartment, the design having connotations with quite a number of 'naturals' such as himself. Of course, it is something he purports to know nothing about, a fact supported in the face of societal and the technological higher powers who would see his like captured when it is common knowledge that he didn't come up with the design himself.

PSYCHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS:
Personality: Well-mannered and patient, Aleksander is not one to speak out of line. Years of resting at the bottom of the hierarchy in social standing have left him desperate to fit in, breeding the personality and self-loathing of a people pleaser. He is empathetic and kind, willing to put himself on the line to help others. It comes less from a place of genuineness and more from a place of wanting to belong. In fact, most of his actions are tinged in this different sort of selfish but good intention. He is attentive, quick to notice when something doesn't seem right. Unfortunately, he additionally doesn't think highly of himself or his conclusions, leading him to act against his instincts ofttimes. Private, he is quiet about his feelings and his thoughts, preferring not to risk upsetting those around him with his sometimes more 'outlandish' ideas.

APTITUDES AND POTENTIAL:
Abilities:

<JUDGEMENT> Aleksander, through years of trying to figure out the people around him, is a fine judge of character. He isn't quite aware of it, mostly due to rarely being around naturals aside from his mother. Potentially, he could become more adept at picking up on the more 'human' reactions of naturals, if given time around naturals or reason to hone this particular observational skill.​

<FACADE> His entire occupation relies on being able to swallow every part of himself and embody the very image that his photographer and the design staff have come up with. And he must do so without uttering a single word. As the usually shy, soft-spoken individual has learned to embody the alluring and the downright domineering behind a camera that shamelessly reveals all, he has become much more adept at playing 'roles' outside of work as well. He's quite the liar, even if he doesn't like to think of it that way.​

<ENDURANCE> Modelling requires one to be in their best shape. Between a mixture of a carefully curated diet and regular exercise, his endurance is considerably higher than it used to be. It allows him to undergo physical activity without wearing quickly.​

Weaknesses:

<SELF DOUBT> Years of thinking himself unintelligent have caused him to second guess his decisions on the mere basis of being 'Too incapable of making good ones'. He often goes with the opposite decision of his gut, getting himself in all kinds of trouble in the meantime. It doesn't matter how keen his instincts might be if he refuses to listen to them.​

<EXPOSURE> Even if Aleksander doesn't know it, he's a natural. A natural whose likeness is constantly in the public eye. If not for a naturally quiet demeanor, he could very well risk outing himself for the natural, unrestrained person he is. All while being entirely unaware of the danger he is posing to his own self.​

<HUMANITY> Not a single thing about Aleksander is enhanced, from his mind to his body. Although this grants him free will, he isn't able to outmaneuver or out strength those that have such enhancements. He is considerably more susceptible to being outsmarted from a statistically-based standpoint and being outclassed by a combatant with physical enhancements. In short, he's human. There's only so much he can do alone.​

CASE STUDY HISTORY:
History: Born to an implanted father and a natural mother, Aleksander's lack of an implant came due in part to his mother's influence and his father's absence during his actual birth. The documentation of his implanting was easy enough to complete, both with his parents' social standing as a start-up company owner and a housewife respectively. No one would assume they were lying - especially not when his father wholeheartedly believed Aleksander had truly been implanted. As with most naturals growing up, Aleksander struggled. Deemed 'unintelligent' from a young age, he barely managed to scrape by through his years in academia. High School was perhaps the worst of all, where he could not even begin to keep up with the mathematical prowess of his classmates and began to feel, more than ever, alone in a crowded room. Graduation was a blessing until it wasn't when even the simplest of office jobs wrought more ire upon him as his coworkers' productivity was lightyears beyond his own. Finally, he decided he should put the cruel taunts he received as a kid to use.

"Too bad you're not as smart as you are easy on the eyes."

Well, modeling didn't require him to recite the first hundred numbers of Pi, now did it? What had been a half-hearted endeavor taken up only because he couldn't quite come up with something else to do, Aleksander went from being the ridiculed student at the bottom of his class to appearing in the occasional advertisement about the latest product that came out or the even rarer ad about the UDM's latest advancement for the betterment of humanity. It was a good life. A better life, even. But without being able to explain it, that feeling from his youth returned tenfold. With more eyes on him than ever, he couldn't help but feel the most alone he ever felt. Unbeknownst to the un-implanted child, he is practically hiding in plain sight from an enemy he never knew was an enemy to begin with.

This isn't for style as much as it is for practicality - she gets to hide a kevlar vest under her coat, and her clothing is tough enough to resist most knife penetrations.
  Distinguishing features (if any): Cass has a scar down her back from an early accident when she fell during a regional gymnastics competition.
  
  
• Ambitious, determined, and borderline sociopathic, Cassandra resents the world for seeing her as inferior, and resents the authorities for her imprisonment from doping - a policy she found entirely hypocritical given their stance on cybernetic implants. From a young age, Cassandra always wanted to be better than other people, and sports were her way of doing that given her perceived intellectual disability. Despite this, she was never callous or violent until her confinement in Detroit Penitentiary, an experience which forced her to become ruthless. Cassandra's psyche is shaped by the twin forces of resentment, both at society's awareness of her "disability" and her confinement on hypocritical principles, and pride. Today, there is no avenue open for her - a fugitive - except work in the underworld, but even in this environment, Cassandra has found a way to live for the thrills and the pride of being "one of the best" at what she does.
  
  Cass cares for people who are like her - who feel left out of modern society, but, not knowing the truth of her "disability", she sees most people as almost a different species than herself and those who are like her. This has led her to take on a black and white world view since going to prison - she sees the majority of people as selfish, treacherous, and undeserving of her compassion, as they all seem to be perfectly fine with the hypocritical system, while caring for the minority who have the ability to dissent. Knowing nothing of the events of 2050, she is completely unaware that the "sheepish" majority are also victims, with no control over their own thoughts.

  Abilities: Martial arts (BJJ, Taekwondo), gymnastics, acrobatics, fast driving.
  Weaknesses: Complete lack of a secondary education. Ignorant about anything not related to her current profession. Addicted to adderrall and steroids, and unable to function without them.
  
  
• Wu Yuqian was born to new money in rural Shaanxi, the same year implants started to be widely introduced in China. Her businessman father and mother wanted her to follow in his footsteps and wanted her to have every advantage, but her loving grandparents wanted young Yuqian to have a natural upbringing, arguing that if their son could succeed without "help", so too could his daughter. Once China made implantation mandatory, Yuqian's father, out of reverence to his parents, paid a bribe to the Shanghai Vice Mayor and kept the secret from Yuqian.
  
  From an early age, Yuqian, an only child, was brought up with high hopes, but quickly fell behind the other children in schoolwork. Her mother and father added pressure to her, believing in the old-school work ethic of their country, but soon realized that their mistake was in implanting her. Still, determined and refusing to quit, the parents continued to pressure and punish their child in hopes that she would be able to succeed and follow them into business. While she probably could have done their day jobs, she first had to pass the college entrance exam, get into a good college, then get into a good business school in order to be employed by one of the country's major corporations and gain experience - a system in place since the Chinese economic miracle, that had the side-effect of excluding anyone who could be talented at business, but didn't have the book smarts to succeed in school.
  
  Yuqian resented the mockery and ridicule of her peers, and turned to athletics to gain an edge. She excelled in gymnastics, and was recruited into China's Olympic Talent Program at the young age of 12. She made her debut in the Kinshasa Olympic years later, winning Bronze. After this "setback" (in Yuqian's eyes and no one else's), she started doping, and, as team captain the following year, told her team to do the same. The entire team demolished their competition in the Kiev Olympics 4 years later, attracting the suspicion of the newly formed UDM Sport Authority. Their investigation resulted in the entire Chinese gymnastics team being busted. As the ring leader, Yuqian got the worst punishment and was extradited to the UDM's maximum security detention facility in Detroit.
  
  In prison, Yuqian, one of the few women on the hall, had no choice but to "toughen up". Her natural athleticism meant she was better off than the others, but she still needed to be smart in order to find a way to survive. Taking on the English name Cassandra, she married one of the prison's gang leaders and built a reputation for brutality in the enforcement of his will. There was no love in this marriage, however - its only purpose was so Cassandra could convince the gang to plan an escape. The ambitious plan to start a prison riot in the UDM's most secure facility led to a massacre of most of the prison population - including those who chose not to participate, and Cassandra's husband. However, she and a few others made it out.
  
  To avoid embarrassment, IB chief Nkunda declared all missing prisoners "dead". Officially deceased, Cassandra had no choice but to turn to her husband's criminal connections for employment. For the next two years, she traveled between the US and Latin America, eliminating targets at the behest of drug smugglers.

  Gwen is small in stature, being only 5’5 with a thin frame. Everything about the girl is put in place with intention and is rarely out of place. Her straight black hair is often pulled back and out of her pale face. The most striking thing about her is her red eyes which tend to give her an intimidating presence despite only standing shoulder tall to the people around her. She dresses in mostly dark professional colors, but is always well kept.

  Focused, ambitious, driven. These are all words you could use to describe Gwendolyn. Her work is her priority at any given time. Analytical and organized she is the person you want calling the shots. Some find her abrasive due to her cut and dry demeanor, but time is money so she isn’t going to waste any of those valuable seconds catering to your feelings. A little obsessive, she can’t keep herself from trying to clean up a disorganized mess and that sometimes includes taking on people as pet projects.

  A natural leader and quick thinker, Gwen is a fantastic person to have your back. She is able to find creative solutions to problems rather than rushing in with force. Light on her feet and graceful, she has little trouble running from trouble.
  
  Due to her irritable nature she doesn’t make friends easily and her small stature makes her a liability in a fight. ​

  Gwen grew up in the spotlight. A modern Shirley Temple, she spent her days learning dance, music and acting. Her parents were sure to take her to every audition and put her in front of every talent scout that would give her the time of day. The girl became a national treasure. When she was young, the days spent going from set to set were sort of fun. But as she aged, Gwen found herself longing for something more meaningful in her life.
  
  She always had a love of reading. Often her mother would have to take books away from her to force her to rehearse or she would miss instructions from her director because she was reading between takes. When she got older, she wanted to take classes and go to college. The prospect of an education became sort of romantic to her. Her parents urged her to reconsider. Afterall, Gwen’s fame was the best she could hope for. She had been fortunate enough to be a pretty girl with a bright smile and her future was bright if only she would get her head out of the books and in the here and now.
  
  It was hard, but she tried to appease her parents. The longer she was in front of an audience the more and more it became evident that she was nothing but a pretty face to them. They would never appreciate anything more about her than the way she looked. It disgusted her, the whole prospect of being some puppet on display for all of them made her skin crawl until finally, Gwendolyn couldn’t take it anymore and told her parents that she was quitting.
  
  She was shocked by their outrage. Frustration and disappointment she had expected but the cruelty that spewed from their mouths hurt her. Hindsight made her understand better, she was their meal ticket. A child worth enough to keep the whole family afloat was an expensive thing to lose. However, Gwen held firm and despite being disowned by her parents continued on her path to get an education.
  
  She worked a variety of menial jobs that she was far too smart to work. But living on your own was expensive, and she needed to save up some serious dough to go to college. Gwen had been working at the ticket booth for amateur fights when some moron stopped to talk to her. She knew he was only speaking with her because she was cute, many of the fighters tried to. He wasn’t charming or smart, and Gwen was mostly unimpressed. However, in his attempts to woo her Ryan did inform the girl that he was looking for an assistant to help him out with some of his freelance bounty hunting.
  
  It was likely he hadn’t been serious because he was shocked when she showed up on his doorstep the next day. However, he was true to his word and no matter how moronic he was, keeping him in line was far better work and better pay than what she had been doing.

He's not muscular and has no scars, but he's got a charming smile and a relaxed posture. His look makes people fall in love rather than run in fear really. He's most often in his work clothes, which are usually a blue button up shirt, a black tie, black pants, a Brown belt, and black shoes. Nothing formal, just an outfit that makes him look like a regular ole' salary man​

  Mostly a relaxed guy, he let's a lot of stuff fly. Like insults, pranks, rants about how irresponsible he is, etc. As long as you don't mean anything by it, it's A-okay by his books. He's the kind of guy who'd smile in front of the face of death, as if risking his life was funner than Disney Land. He'll crack jokes, he'll quip, and he'll even throw out cheesey one liners in serious situations. It's hard for him to take anything seriously really, but he can.
  
  To Harper, friends come first. Sure, he'll be hesitant to help a complete stranger, but if he considers you a friend, he'll stick with you through thick and thin.

• When Harper was born, he was supposed to get his Chip. His parents believed every word of the UDM and intended for him to get his chip like every other good boy and girl. But when the time came for his birth, he'd been delivered by a Natural Doctor. Feeling sympathy for the 15 second year old K.D. Harper, the Doctor secretly refused to implant the chip in him.
  
  Harper was entirely unaware of the fact that he was a Natural for years afterward. When he started school, his parents were horrified by his lack luster performance at school. Harper tried to become a better students, but he just couldn't beat his classmates. Sure, he was smart for his age, but when everyone has the IQ of Einstein at 10? Yeah, Harper didn't stand a chance.
  
  Feeling isolated from his classmates and parents due to his mediocre intelligence, Harper began to become a bit of an introvert. Harper rarely spoke to or interacted with anyone for years.
  
  Than he started Highschool, and he met someone just like him. It was a few days after the beginning of the School Year and Harper was sitting at a picnic table struggling to do his Math homework when a black haired kid sat down next to him. Ignoring their presence per usual, Harper had just tried to keep doing his work when the kid said "Having trouble too?". It was then Harper noticed the black haired kid was struggling on every question too.
  
  And thus a friendship was born.
  
  After learning the kids name was Jaxen Cooper, they began to hang out between classes and after school to do the schoolwork they both struggled to do. They eventually both got into Spy and Detective movies, loving every second of every one they watched. That's how they decided they wanted to be Spies when they grew up. When they realized that wasn't going to happen, they settled on Undercover cops. Together they took classes like Criminal Justice and both got Scholarships to the best College in the State.
  
  When they got accepted, they quickly realized that they weren't accepted because of Academics, but instead because there mommies and daddies were Professors at the school. They were quickly trampled by an education system meant for students 10x smarter than them. Deciding it was a sink or swim situation, Harper and Jaxen frantically learned to hack so they could hack into the College's system and change their grades. This was pretty much the only thing that kept them from getting expelled.
  
  After graduating, the duo hooked up with the NYPD of New York and got jobs as Undercover cops. The two were, for once in their life, the best at something. they were surprisingly good at changing their entire demeanor on a whim. There lives were going great.
  
  And then they weren't.
  
  When it was discovered Naturals were a thing,everyone in the force went into panic mode. Harper had been working overtime, trying to piece together the locations of some cells when he heard the news. He got a call from the Chief, who told him that Jaxen had just been gunned down in his house for harboring known Naturals in his attic.
  
  Stunned by this turn of events, Harper went on leave. Somehow finding a Cell, he managed to worm his way into an undercover role.
  
  If there was one silver lining to this, it'd be that at least now Harper's technically a spy.

Her casual outfits are usually quite modest, including turtlenecks and waistcoats. She may also use reading glasses on occassion. Her build is strong and just the tiniest bit chubby. She has a square jaw and a long sharp nose. She also favours dark makeup as well.

• Yulia is stubborn and loyal, but fatally gullible. She would do anything for her people and her higher-ups. However, she has a very strong moral chord in her heart that keeps her from obeying completely thoughtlessly. She enjoys intellectual pursuits such as reading and chess.

  Abilities: She is a well trained officer of the law, and is agile and strong enough to hold her own in most fights. She is also quite an analytical thinker and takes great pleasure in solving puzzles.
  Weaknesses: Yulia is a square, and as a result, she is unlikely to do anything courageous or rebellious without a ton of prodding. She is also slightly germophobic and loses some of her sense around dirty, bloody, or outdoor spaces.
  
  
• Yulia grew up never realizing that she was a natural or that there was a true difference between her and her peers. She always figured that everyone else was just better than her. Regardless of her performance, she still had a great passion for education and the law. Realizing that, with her under-performance compared to others, she would never be "smart" enough to be a lawyer or a scientist, she instead signed up for law enforcement. What she couldn't do with her head, she could do with her hands. Yulia now works as a UDM peace officer, quelling any disturbances around her. However, in the fringes of her mind, she realizes that there's something familiar to her in natural cells that she does not share with her coworkers or neighbors. She is slowly growing suspicious of her place in the world and the validity of the UDM.
