Fantasy Silent Rapture - modern supernatural/fantasy thriller

In terms of pacing, I do have uni and work most days, but I can typically post a decent amount every day except for Mondays (before 9pm EST), especially weekends since I go home for most of them and won't have anything to do. Of course, I'll fit whatever pace the RP ends up progressing at.

I'm kind of figuring this out as I type (sorry that it's lengthy and very stream-of-consciousness), but for my character, I think I'll go with some sort of wraith. While not necessarily being malevolent at heart, they will be a soulless ghost-like entity who can only regularly feel unimaginably intense emotions like hatred and despair. They also typically latch onto one human host to take a physical form, and will move on to the next host once it dies. In order to make them more playable in an RP, they will be extremely good at mimicking human emotions while still being entirely motivated by their turbulent nature. In folklore, they are described as being able to drain the life out of a person with a single touch, but that's a little too OP so I'm thinking of having their powers more along the lines of a dementor, where they flood their victim with a barrage of the worst mental circumstances possible. Their other main power is only sometimes unleashed when they are seriously provoked without being defeated, at which point they release their anger in the form of an energy wave that steals the will to live from any susceptible creature in its vicinity.
In terms of personality, my character will be very calm, calculated, and cutting. They measure every emotion they display to others and have a completely dry humor that they can't find funny themselves. It's very difficult to get them riled up past this state, but once they feel, they feel more intensely than any human can imagine. More often that not, this isn't a happy state for them, but very rarely, the emotion that emerges is not one of darkness. I haven't decided on a host gender yet!

If it’s alright, I would like I role play as two characters? They’re apprentices of a renowned mage and they tend to fight a lot. Their rivalry is crazy haha. They’re pretty much polar opposites but have a strong sense of camaraderie, even betraying signs of concern for each other. One is a perfectionist and a by-the-book kind of girl, mellow and meek. Her partner is more brash and reckless, loud and frank. Both share an admiration and great respect for their master and strive for the best results (their definition of the best results anyway) to impress him. This often starts arguments between them, both wanting to stand out between both of them. If not, just one apprentice mage would be fine.

EDIT: Also, I was thinking that the mage they’re studying under specialises in demons, specifically stuff like forming contracts or binding the demons to themselves (essentially familiars and not just your ordinary black cats). This gives the mages the ability to summon their demons to do their bidding. And since I’m playing as an apprentice, I assure you they won’t be very proficient in demon summoning/taming. They’ll have at least one major demon and a couple other minor demons. They’ll be hard to acquire, don’t worry. I plan on expanding it, actually ‘cause I’ve got a bunch of ideas. Would this be okay or a bit much? It’s totally fine if it’s not possible! ^^

This sounds really interesting, and I have a fun character concept that I'd like to use for this. "Mind Swallower". Type of demon that possesses multiple people, and read and muddles the minds of others. More on that later. I hope this RP will be interesting!

For pacing, I’m available usually any day unless I’m on some grind with PoE or doing homework.

I’m thinking my character is a direct descendant of Theseus, more specifically a descendant of Acamas. I’m also really interested in the idea of my character being an avid collector of Greek artifacts and is more than willing to kill a fellow Greek descendant for an artifact. But I’m not too sure about the idea, just seems a little much for the moment.

On pacing, I'm pretty consistent and I prefer more fast paced but detail heavy RPs. I'm online pretty often, so I can generally keep up with any schedule. That being said, life happens, and sometimes it's a few days before I'll get a post up. A flexible pacing would be appreciated!

Characters, characters... I really would like to do an amputee. Probably a leg (maybe both) but I think that would be really cool/challenging to design a character that relies on prosthetics or wheelchairs to get around, but still gets themselves in/out of dangerous situations with efficiency. I'll do more research on current amputee experiences to make it accurate, of course. But I'd love to give it a go. Probably will do a psychic/Voodoo queen character (will also do research as to not offend any real practicers of Voodoo). I don't know, we'll see.

Questions: Any particular line of hunter/supernatural/spiritual aspects we're going for? Like we going for CW Supernatural or something more along the lines of Blue Exorcist?

Another original concept. This could be really great. Not sure what you mean by CW supernatural, but its pretty open. There will be restrictions on greater powers however.

Just so y'all know, I don't think there's a specific limitation to which face claim pictures you want to use. I'm using an anime one for my character, so if you want to use anime, then go on ahead and use it. ^^

I've been in RPs with Silver before and we all usually use anime face claims, but that's her call to make in this RP, not mine. *shrug*

There is magic for the more mundane problems like airport security. I think a duffle bag is fine, though if there is an emergency your character may have to leave it behind and replace the items. It could happen.

Don’t kelpie characters have to be in the water permanently? Or am I thinking of the wrong type of character? I only ask because being confined to the water would be a serious restriction when most of the characters are humans or of some land type.
