There is a world unseen by most, a twisted dark realm of decay and evil. In this world, separate from our own, ash rains from the sky and fog impedes your vision. Familiar buildings now lay in ruins. Debris, crashed cars, and random tears in the ground line the street. The town rests in a foreboding silence, but you are not alone. What now inhabits the town are twisted, decayed, and morbid monsters of all shapes and sizes hunt the streets. Where they came from is unknown... Yet they seem oddly familiar. Such is the strange alternate world of Silent Hill, a place where many vanish and none return.

This strange place is where you now find yourself. One may be thinking of escape, but it's hopeless. All exits of the town have been blocked off by giant cracks in the ground, far too large to jump over. Besides, you're here for a reason. For some reason, something called you to the the odd New-England resort town of 5,000 people named Silent Hill. Maybe you received a letter from a dead relative telling you to go there. Perhaps your dreams have been haunted by this town's very name, and you've come for closure. Or maybe it was something else. Either way, Silent Hill called and you came. You may have never intended to end up in this nightmare world, but now you're in its clutches, and there's no turning back!

Not all hope is lost, however. There are others who are stuck in this realm, lured to it just like you. They come from many backgrounds and temperaments. One notable stranger is a man who speaks only through an intercom, claiming he knows the way to get out of the hellish land. Work with these people and you just might solve the mystery of silent hill, and escape with your life.

As you approach the small town of Silent Hill, the air grows cold, and the fog thickens. Odd considering it isn't even the fall of 1999 yet. A strange silence fills the air, one not normal for this time of the year. No birds, no crickets, not even the wind. Your radio no longer works, instead its filled with static followed by the occasional mumbling in the background. The very sign that welcomes you to silent hill isn't even in good condition, as it sits in a withered, decayed state. All of these signs all cry out the same vague message: Turn back now.

Yet you press forward, determined to approach the small town. Beyond one last turn the town comes into sight, and you have finally reached your destination: Silent Hill.

Silent-Hill-we-the-people-29669051-830-479.jpg
It's nothing like you imagined. The town that was once the ideal New England small town now lay in a crumbling ruin. Streets lay completely abandoned; buildings sit in disrepair, covered by boards and chains as if they were waiting out some kind of war. What's even more unsettling....is the blood stains spattered against some of the abandoned cars lining the sidewalk. Your instincts might have led you to try and turn your vehicle around, however it no longer works no matter what you try. Even if you got it to work, it would be useless; The road behind you is now...gone. Where you previously entered the town is now split by a large crevasse knifing through the ground. It cannot be passed.

As desolate as the area may be, you are not alone. There are other people, just as confused and frightened as yourself. You all approach each other to make sense, but are interrupted by an odd voice coming from a nearby intercom.

4586941291_ef2be5d235.jpg

"Welcome to Silent Hill." An arrogant voice, of English descent calls out from the intercom. "Get close and let me explain things; You don't have a lot of time and your survival depends on it!"

In the distance, a loud blood-curdling scream as cold as ice can be heard.

Geo was definitely confused on what happened to the road, how the land got split around him, and where his ride went but he continued forward. Now noticing some blood stains on cars and the buildings around him he decided to get a closer look and found himself running into the others that seemed to be stuck in the same situation as him? At least he hoped so, a nearby intercom went off and he got closer to it, whatever it was wanted to help them...and then a scream was heard in the distance...who was that? It couldn't have been his wife. Whoever this person was on the intercom he would have to listen to them to get his wife back and get out of here. He would do whatever it took after all that she had done for him in the past nothing was getting in his way. He had a feeling he would have to stay determined if he was going to find her and get out. "Ya...got it, I'd like to know what is going on here and where my wife is..." He said calmly, no reason to make this person an enemy if he didn't need to. Then he looked around getting a good look at everyone's faces, they seemed confused as well.

Linda was in confusion at the extreme change in weather, and the strange fog that blanketed itself around her. She realized this was so unusual so she decided to get back into her car and leave, but to her demise the car was unable to start no matter how much she tried. In awe at the situation, and her hands on the steering wheel she looked around for any sign of... well anything. She could not see past the car. Knowing there was no other way but to walk she grabbed her purse and started up the road. The air was silent... The only noise made was the sound of her heels on the road. Walking for what seemed like ages she found herself walking down a street with buildings all around her. She looked at everything, though it seemed no one had been here for a very long time. Being very cautious she kept walking and waited for some sort of sign that she was not alone. She then noticed something off about the cars, she slowly walked over to one of the parked cars and noticed the blood on it. This made her very anxious and scared. She backed away from the car and frantically looked around and yelled out "Hello!..... Can someone help me please!" But all she heard was silence. She could then see barely through the thick fog a small group of people. From the looks of it they seemed out of place too. She slowley walked towards them, gripping her purse on her shoulder. She was nearing them closer now and saw their confused expressions and realized maybe they know what is going on. Just a few feet away now she called out "Hello?... Excuse me?" As she got closer she heard the intercom near everyone come on. She heard the voice and she heard it clear. Then, hearing the scream, she clinched her purse tight and looked around frantically to see where it came from, she also stepped back closer to the group. She then turned back and looked scared, and wide eyed at the group of people, and then at the intercom. It was funny... In all this confusion she almost forgot about everything that had happened earlier that day.

The crisp view of the fading sun and clear weather was now painstakingly replaced by the bleak approach of a mist like fog that seemed to have originated from an unknown source. The jaded luminescence of headlights tried to penetrate through the haziness, but to no avail as the clouded aura seemed to thicken. The sound of an engine comes to a stop, catching the glimpse of the sign that had welcome one Lily Payne to Silent Hill. She'd made it. He was here, somewhere. She made the trip all the way from Cali to a small New England location, all on a hopeful ideal, the faith that the reward would return greater than the risk. Her long lost father was here. But for some reason, her blood ran chilly as the hairs on the back of her head stands up stout to attention. She felt in fight or flight mode already, upon the first few minutes of being here she already had the feeling of instinctual survival. She didn't know why, but she could feel it... something was off. She grabbed her backpack with her personal effects, added some clothes, her pepper spray and taser, a mini first-aid box, and her cell phone. She shut her car door and locked it off of second nature, the chirp from the alarm system ringing out through the vast area. It was uncharacteristically cold for a time before Autumn.

The sounds of faint voices had drawn the sharp reflex of the girl in the direction of the noise. She clutched her pepper spray in caution, not bothering to call out in the event of some grisly turn of events. She didn't know this place, and quite frankly even if she met her father, who's to say he's not a terrible person? She just came for the truth, to fill a void that had been nagging away at her all her life. That however, did not mean or entail surrendering her very knowledge and common sense of not being prepared for whatever life had to throw. Seems like her mental precision was serving her well thus far. She crept closer towards the voices, as they become more apparent and distinct. At the breach of an intercom she jumped slightly, and upon hearing the gruesome words of peril she could only reach into her adrenaline as her mouth started to whisper in paranoia...

What the hell is going on...

Pat drove for hours, up the winding highways to the small, isolated, town. A dog had rolled in, blocking out the sun completely. He continued driving with his high beams on the jeep. They barely pierced the oppressive shroud around him, he finally drove past a sign depicting a welcome message to those entering the town of Silent Hill. He kept driving despite the decay an disheveled nature of the town. Looked like Bosnia all over again. He pushed those thoughts out of his mind. They were the reason he was in the town, supposedly it had an program for people who suffered from PTSD in the town. Suddenly the jeep died. He tried turning it over a couple of times, when it died start he resorted to calling it obscenities. It didn't work but it made him feel better. He got of it and started walking. He noticed bloodstains along some of the storefronts and husks of buildings. It didn't unsettle him, his time in the military had beaten that out of him. What did bother him was the whispers he was hearing. Someone he would hear them back home, almost like his dead squad were trying to tell him something. He shook them off before seeing a group of people in the center of the town, he balled his hand into a fist, he couldn't be to careful in a place in the condition the town was in. He saw them looking fearful and nervous. His cold eyes surveying them individually. He hears the static on the intercom, instinctively he looked at it before heading an inhuman scream in the distance. Some of the people looked panicked and looked over their shoulders. Pat simply reached down to the right side of his body, pulling the 1911 out of its holster. He cocked the hammer. He set it back into its resting place on his hip. He was ready for whatever was waiting in the fog. He just hoped the others were too.

"The world you formerly knew is behind you. Silent Hill has chosen you, and everyone else here. That's what's going on." The voice replied to Geo. "As for your wife, I couldn't tell you. You're not the first batch to come through here, and I don't know what she looks like."

Once again the screams traveled through the mist, this time much closer. They intensified with each passing moment, clearly she was in agony. Suddenly there was a loud bang, like metal crashing against a hard surface, then silence.

"Listen up." The intercom echoed out. Its sound traveled through the streets in an almost endless manner.

The static from the intercom came on again, and once again the voice appeared "You're stuck here in this small town now. There is no turning back. All roads leading out of this town are either blocked, destroyed, or have vanished."

"I see some of you are armed...good. As you can tell from the screams this is not a friendly place. That person in the distance you heard? Dead. She's dead because she didn't listen to my instructions, and she ended up getting herself killed. There are things here you don't understand. Creatures, you won't believe until you lay yours eyes upon them."

"They don't know you're here...yet. Best keep it that way. Before you get started with getting out of this town you all need weapons. Real weapons. Search the nearby cars for a weapon. Do not, and I repeat, do not set off any car alarms. You won't like what happens next."

(OOC: Before you all continue on your path into silent hill, you're going to need weapons. Contained in the vehicles is a random assortment of weapons, no matter what you roll you will find a weapon, but how well you roll dictates what you get. On your next post, please roll for scavenging. Rolling is done by making a post, editing it, and selecting 'throw dice' at the bottom. Fill our your reason as 'Scavenging', select just 1 dice, then add 100 faces to it like the picture below. Once done, hit roll, if you've rolled in between 0 to your max assigned skill number than you've successful scavenged!! In the spoiler below is a screenshot if you're confused!)

Linda was so confused yet frightened. She clenched her purse on her shoulder once more as the screams ensued, her head darting in their direction. The the silence. She slowly turned back around to listen to what the speaker had to say. She thought to herself "This is insane", but even though she almost believed it was, she remembered the screams and everyone's confusion. "if he is right about the roads, then what else am I to do..." she continued to think. Realizing the situation she decided to trust the man behind the speaker. So Linda, still clinging tight to her purse, slowly looked around through the fog, until her eyes set on one of the cars. She looked back at the group then slowly made her way over to the car. The sounds of her heels on the paved road seemed to be the only sound at the moment. She was so scared, but she had to do what was necessary given the situation.

So - this was not the way this was freaking supposed to be.

He was running late; he’d left with a bitter taste in the back of his throat and a bag only half-full of clothes. He’d left without kissing her goodbye the way he used to; but the sheer knowledge of where he was going had made the pain in the back of his temples grow back, old friend he’d well lived without for the past – years or decades or whatever.

What a stupid plan. What a fucking stupid thing to do, coming back to such a dead place just for the sake of keeping peace up where none was ever sowed. Jake couldn’t even piece the face of his brother back to its former unusual yet appreciated beauty; it was a blur like many things as well that had happened over the last years.

Now he was here.

His fucking car was dead.

It was freaking foggy and goddamn cold, and the tick to chew on the flesh of his fingers was back again. He should have taped them before coming here.

He shouldn’t have freaking come here at all, for fuck’s-

Jake slowly got out of the car when he saw them and heard the voice a second time; others looking as baffled as he felt. One of them reminded him of another piece from the past, with her hair blonde and her face even friendly in its utter disorientation while she was actually getting in touch with a freaking car, when oh so clearly incapable of getting that done. His smile was back on before he could change it; there was no use in standing around and – waiting, after the voice had died and he was sure whoever had dared to record that was possibly close to pissing his pants laughing.

He hated waiting.
Waiting for the pain in his fingers to set in so that he would lose it.

“Hey lady”, he said, being careful sounding not too friendly and not too forceful; a nonchalant yet neighborly voice always worked best. He moved closer. The fog swallowed his steps and reduced their volume, only making the voice from the intercom louder.

“Relax. No reason to look so worried. None of you should. All gonna be fine; let’s just-“

There it was; first blood on his finger. Fuck.

“-relax, everybody. There is no reason why we should believe in a freaking voice. How about we head to Sagan Street, to the police station?”

Because like hell would he listen. Like hell would he do as he’s told by a kid sitting somewhere and enjoying the show.
"...you need help with that?"

tumblr_oos315D4GP1s2tg5no1_250.gifDiala was tempted to turn but that wasn't an option at times like this she would wonder how low her husband fell to come to a place like this. Once she entered the town the sight wasn't anything 'normal' clenching the wheel she felt a shiver go down her spine. The red small car still moving mostly because Diala was frozen in place to scared to move her leg of the peddle and stop the car that was until she saw a bunch of people huddled together. Stopping the car she grabbed her heels which have been sitting next to her, putting them on she grabbed her purse and slowly opened the car door. Dragging her feet towards the group not really sure if she should go towards them, "Excuse me? What happened here?" she whispered to one of the girls standing. Her question was quickly interrupted by a voice not sounding human at first but then Diala quickly realized the reason why. Before anyone could bombarding the mysterious person, a scream could be heard everyone froze, " What was that?" she whispered with a shudder, her body shivering violently.

At first, Diala was confused taking most of what the mysterious person said as a joke. His explanation was vague, "How could a whole road just disappear?" It wasn't logical the females screams echoed breaking Diala's chain of thought. Diala stood there dazed for a minute then she noticed a girl who had already started looking just as the man instructed. Yeah, I guess this wasn't a joke how could it be and if it was where did everyone go? Walking over to her Diala was interrupted by a man who approached the female first not minding him she approached them opening the back door or at least trying to. "Police? This place looks deserted... or that's what they want us to think. Maybe their hiding." When the wouldn't open Diala took off her heel and used it to smash the already damaged window. Poking her hand in there for almost a minute she retracted it looking at particularly nothing. "Should we be out in the open like this?"

Linda, about to peer into the car, was a bit startled at the man who was making his way over after asking if he could help her. "Uh.. um.. sure!" she gently let out, just then another lady was making her way over. They both seemed friendly to Linda even if it wasn't their intentions. She then peered back into the car as they both appeared next to her. "It is a very interesting situation we are in" Ling said in her gentle voice, answering the lady. Noticing the lady take off her heel and was going to smash the back window out, Linda stepped back real quickly, clinging to her purse. "Wait!, the alarm" Linda wanted to blurt out. Linda waiting in anticipation at what may happen next. The ladies next question snapped her out of her shock. "I.. I honestly am not sure.. but I do think we should find at least something to arm ourselves first if we are going to be here for a while as the voice intended." Linda then looked back at the group only briefly then back at the two. "I.. I am Linda by the way.."

As you scavenge through the car, something immediately grabs your attention. Located on the floor near the backseats, there's a blanket covering some sort of object. Upon further investigation, you realize just what it could be, and lift off the blanket. Sitting before you is a baseball bat, it's old yet well made, with very few cracks and a light frame. (Baseball bat damage output = 20)

You bash open the car window, and successfully enter the car. At first glance, nothing particularly interesting stands out about the car. It's clean, well organized, and other than a few cigarette burns on the seats there's nothing that catches your eye. However, once you scrounge through the lower portions of the car, you notice a shine of silver beneath the drivers seat. Reaching under, your fingers grab a cold metal object, not much larger than your hand. Pulling it out, you find that it is a handgun (Damage output = 25), 'Colt Model-1911' is engraved into the side. Accompanying this rare find is two full magazines of .45 rounds, each containing 8 rounds, and a note. It reads:

'Vincent,

I know you're going to Silent Hill. At first I wanted to stop you, plead with you, hug you, do anything that I could to stop you from leaving. However, I know you, and how stubborn you are. I've heard the words you say in your sleep, about your father, and what he did to you and your sister. Why you think he's in Silent Hill, I'll never know. Maybe it's that letter you keep so close, and refuse to let me read, or maybe it's just in your dreams. Either way, I've left you this gun so you can be safe. Get back to me when you can.

Love,

Anna'

tumblr_oos315D4GP1s2tg5no2_250.gifDiala held the gun and her heel underneath her armpit while she read the letter. Leaning onto the car Diala lifted her right leg putting her heels back on she turned smiling at Linda, "I'm Diala, nice to meet you, Linda, would you take a look at this for me? I might have interpreted wrongly but.. "
Giving the letter one last look before she motioned for the two to look at its contents, "Look here. This Anne girl seems to know that somethings up...something bad. Or why would she send this with him?" she said wagging the gun around. "Wonder where this Vincent person is?" she said turning around to take a good look in the car. Diala shivered at the thought of who...or what she might have to shoot down with this. Although her family owned many guns and rifles for hunting she has never alone held one using it is out of the question.

Diala's chain of thought was broken by someone sitting in a car to the side. Squinting her eyes didn't seem to help, taking a step forward she suddenly stopped. It wouldn't be a good idea to wander off on her own turning around to Linda and the brown-haired man she pointed to the man sitting in his car, "There's someone in there? You think he's one of us? Or he's watching..." saying the last in a whisper she turned back in the direction of the car, "I'll go see."

Walking slowly towards the car the figure gradually became clearer it looked like he was a male in his mid-30...maybe younger she couldn't tell. Knocking on the window of the car Diala tilted her head clenching her gun ready to use it just in case, "Excuse me!" she made sure to speak louder than usual since he was in a vehicle but not enough that she would cause unwanted attention. "Could you please c-come out?" her voice cracked once she realized he had some sort of weapon a hammer from the looks of it. At first, it was shocking but then she realized that she also had a gun but then it dawned on her that he never stepped out of his vehicle.

Alexandra Stone
~Concerned Mother

Alexandra was smiling, the sun in her eyes as she gently covered her face with her hand, watching her beautiful son as he loaded his bag into the car. "Are you are you almost ready baby?" she queried, as she finished her bags. "Yes Mommy!" she could hear Markus say in excitement. He was as excited as her for getting the heck out of here. Backing another trip to the car, she came back inside one left time to urge her son into the car. She did one final walkthrough of her apartment and noticed the newspaper on the Kitchen counter, the paper that changed her life.

She had found a new apartment in the city of "Silent Hill" that she can afford and a job as a security that allowed her to afford the said apartment. It was a dream come true, a new beginning with her son! "Mommy lets go!" exclaimed Markus from the doorway. "Coming baby" she proclaimed as she took the newspaper and closed her apartment along with her old life for the last time, leaving the key in under the prearranged rock where her former landlord would get it and she got into her car never looking back again. Thus began her trip across the country with her son, some of the best times of her, it would take several days to get to Silent Hill on a Friday, she thought.

They had seen, a giant yarn ball, a giant peanut, salvation mountain, and many more attractions, taking pictures at each location with their Polaroid camera. By Friday afternoon, she was only a few miles away from Silent Hill, maybe it was that she was distracted by the Happy Thoughts, or what but the last time she heard her son was him proclaim "Watch out Mommy!" as the car hit something, was it a person? She didn't get a good luck as she tried to brake, hitting whoever or whatever it was hard. The Airbag activated hitting her in the face as she passed out from the crash. Sometime later she woke up, the fog had rolled in and she slowly opened her eyes. "Markus Baby, are you alright?" she said groggily. "Markus?" she asked again as her vision came back to her, her hand reaching out for Markus and not finding him. "Markus!?!"

Her head was pounding, a streak of blood running down from her forehead to her cheek and onto her blouse she noted as she checked the mirror and got out of the car. "Markus!" she screamed as she stood outside, leaning against the car as she regained her balance. The front of it indented heavily. "A deer?" she muttered under her breath, but nothing was there. She could have sworn it was a person though. The reality of her missing son hitting her hard, she stood there crying for an undetermined amount of time, wondering how this could happen, she had just won and gotten her son back and beat her bastard of an ex-husband, but now all she could hear was his laugh. After a while she banished the threads, putting her lips, still sobbing and making noises, she wiped her hands and put on her brave face and slowly began to head into town, where she was sure someone could help her find her son. Maybe the person she hit, took him. She looked up at the Welcome to Silent Hill sign and smiled. "Atleast...we made it".

After walking for a bit she looked back and saw that the exit was cut off as if an earthquake had cut through the area like a knife, an earthquake she didn't hear or feel. "What...the heck" she muttered as she eventually came across a group of people and heard the arrogant voice come through the speaker system. Then she heard the screaming and muttered "Markus..." under her breath, determined to find her son as soon as possible. She followed the instructions of the voice on the speaker and followed the others to the cars, where she began to search for weapons like everyone else. Using her skills as both a mom who had to clean up after her son and find hidden toys, to that of a former durg darrier, that had to hide the goods.

Linda pulling out the bat and inspecting it, thought to herself "Well its not the greatest thing to have but it will definitely do!" After this her new acquaintance Diala came over with a gun and note. Hearing Diala's confusion on the subject of the note, she took the note from Diala and held it where herself and the man could read its contents. Saying loud enough for Diala to hear but not enough for unwanted attention "I swear this town just gets more and more peculiar." After reading the letter she gently hands it to the man and notices Diala point to something, or someone sitting in a nearby car. Linda holding her bat and clinging to her purse rushes over half way to Diala and whispers loudly "Be careful!" as she continues to look at the man in the car. Linda then looked around briefly to see where everyone else had gone to and noticed more people looking into cars and weapons and then she looked back to Diala and waited to see what would happen.

Grace finds herself at Silent Hill after a long as hell drive. After losing her way on the motorway many and more times, she's thankful she's finally here... only this changes when the roads ostensibly vanish behind her like the routes of labyrinth, mists as far as the eye can see sweep across the town walkways and, worst of all, her car's engine dies.

She dials a number into her mobile after that heart-wrenching scream, only to find her battery, too, is dead. With her insticts telling her to run and hide, Grace enters a disused bakery, a bell's peal overhead sounding faintly behind her with an ominousity as chilling as the wintry weather. She searches the shop high and low for anything, a plug, a battery, anything at all. Grace finds a plug, eventually, however she soon finds that the charger from her backpack doesn't work, electricity in this establishment dry as a bone. Later, she'll realise, if she manages to turn the damn thing on, there's no signal in this hellhole.

She doesn't meet up with the other Silent Hill residents right away, having entered the town from a different road. Sometime after that disembodied voice, that broadcast over the town's intercommunication system, maybe four or five minutes, Grace finds herself drawn to the shattering crack of a window. Not sure what to make of it, she investigates, carefully, making sure she sees them before they see her, and introduces herself to Linda, Diana and anyone else who happens to be nearby, “Hi. Name's Grace.” She notices the firearm only now, her weary eyes peeling themselves open into a wide-eyed stare. “What's that? That a... gun?”

It was a slow and long drive from her little apartment in Rochester Minnesota all the way to New England. Though, thankfully as she sent forth her journey to the small little ghost town, the visions and hellish dreams ceased and for once in a very long while she had found solitude within her own mind as she drove down the high-way blaring her speakers as loud as she could handle it with a mixture of Disturbed, A7x, and a series of other semi-older rock bands playing as she sung along to every word while also eating Chinese from the box with her hands and steering the car with her knee. After all, if this all was just a fluke and she spent her time coming to this little abandoned town for nothing, she was going to enjoy her last moments in this world demonic hallucinations be damned!

Although, when she finally managed to find the little town she was a bit dumbfounded to see little bits of, what appeared to be, snow falling from the fog-covered sky. A fog so dense mind you that as she stepped out of her car to further examine what the hell exactly was going on and looked up to try to find but only an ounce of sunlight - there was none. And what she had originally assumed to be snow proved itself to be nothing more than raining ash after a little more inspection. It was odd, but a little more believable, after all. She had recalled reading about a massive under-ground explosion just under the city some odd-years ago. May they rest in peace.

As Sam slipped back into her car and tried to start it up, she was immediately greeted by the sound of her cars engine not even trying to turn over, no matter how much she flored the gas before and during the key-turning process. Furious, she stepped out of the car and popped the hood only to see absolutely nothing wrong with the car, at least, to what she could tell from just looking at it. "Well just fuck me, right?" Huffing deeply, she slipped into her car once more to grab her hand-gun from the central compartment between the two front seats before climbing out taking the keys out with her in the process as well all while mumbling under her breath, "The one time I decide to go into some Gods-forsaken land-" with a heavy hand she slammed the door shut, "This peice of shit decides to fuck up on me... And where do I go from here? Hm? It's not like I can call a toe-truck out in the middle of god-damn no where!" as she spoke, her voice indeed rose octive after octive until she'd managed to go from a low mumble to softly yelling at her car as if expexting it to say something back to her. Which, mind you, it in fact did not answer her back.

With a sigh of defeat and with her gun strapped to her side she began to silently walk down the center of the street into the city in hopes someone, anyone, resided within the ghost town. Maybe someone to warn others to leave due to the town being cursed or some other supersticious falacy. After all, it wouldn't be the first time she'd dealt with people of such mind-sets. Although, as she approached the town, it seemed to only grow quieter and quieter until she could hear her heart in her ears. Although, with a sudden spark of luck as she approached from a-far she could see shadows of people moving in the distance, "U-Um, Excuse me!" she yelled forward as she approached seeing what appeared to be a entire party of people stranded just as she was, "It wouldn't bother any of you to come and take a look at my car, would it? I only really know how to give a human a diagnosis... Not automobiles..." As she spoke, her voice was that as it often normally would be, though, slightly louder as she was speaking from a semi-long distance away from the individuals, after all, she wasn't inclined to just randomly approach a series of strangers in some ghost town, in the middle of no where.

The Dark Wizard The Dark Wizard

You search the vehicle meticulously, using your skills as both a parent and former drug carrier to search through all possible hiding spots. However, this vehicle is in bad shape, and has already been picked clean by scavengers. The only item of interest you come across is a rusted steel pipe left in the trunk of the car, why it would be placed there is unknown. There are no hints of plumbing, or tools to go along with it. While the pipe is basic, it's better than nothing. (Pipe damage output = 15)

Two Fives Two Fives

(Since your roll of 96 is far out of your skill range, you have failed the roll. You will still find a weapon, but not without consequences.)

As you try and break into one of the cars in order to scavenge a weapon, you hear an odd click.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

The car alarm activates, interrupting the dead silence of the town by ringing loudly into the surrounding area. Everything in the surrounding area has been alerted to your presence. Frantically you search for a weapon inside the car, only able to find just a simple wooden board stashed in the backseat (Damage output = 10). It's simple, hard to hold, and not the ideal weapon. However, it will do.

The car alarm continued to screech into the seemingly abandoned streets of Silent Hill. It sound carries on for what seems almost like an eternity, before the alarm finaly dies, and once again the air is filled with a familiar silence. For a moment or so, even the mysterious intercom system is quiet. Then, from up the street a peculiar noise becomes apparent, feint in sound yet still audible.

Clink! Clink! Clink!

It sounds like metal prodding against the ground, in a series of quick little taps. Though at first the sound is weak, it slowly is growing louder and louder. Whatever the source of the noise is, it's getting closer with every passing moment. As it gets closer, and grows louder you realize that it's not just coming from one source, but multiple.

Clink! Clink! Clink!

"Now you've done it.....They're coming." The voice behind the intercom calls out. "I warned you all, but you all had the audacity to doubt me! Find a weapon if you haven't already and get ready to defend yourself!"

In the distance, just up the road, the shroud of a figure can just barely be made out. Though it might not be apparent at first....something is off about this individual. Whoever they are, they are very tall, and have very long arms. They walk in a strange manner, and each time they put their foot down the strange clinking noise can be heard. It won't be long now before whatever it is finds you.

(OOC: Combat is about to begin. If your character has no weapon yet, scavenge one. Whether you fight, run, or hide is entirely up to your discretion)

Clumsily, Grace sets off an alarm in the car she's trying to scavenge. “...Shit, shit,” hisses the woman, frantically fumbling and fidgeting through one of the car's gloveboxes. By now she has found a weapon--an oaken board she retrieves from near the upholstery--and tries to open the car door. With her nerves at an all time high, she struggles with this simple task, continuing her outburst of obscenities. Few of them are in English, Portuguese slurs and slang expressions only stopping after the car alarm dies. She thanks God for this in her mother tongue. Regrettably, however, her thanks are interrupted by clink, clink, clink.

She hears the clink, clink, clink of cast-iron on concrete and looks in the car's wing mirror. What seems to be encroaching in the fog's dense cover is a silhouette. Grossly proportioned is this silhouette that comes ever so closer in the ubiquitous mist. When she sees its arms, limbs that seem impossibly... inhumanly long, Grace has a no-way-in-hell facial expression that explains why she so abruptly wrenches the car door open, not exactly as quietly as she could've done, and rushes over towards the other Silent Hill arrivals. Just possibly, but of course unintentionally, leaving a breadcrumb trail for those things...

There's safety in numbers, right?

Rowan had been frozen, stunned for the majority of the time the voice had been speaking. Her car broke down soon after the fog emerged, and she had to walk most of the way there. The young woman cursed to herself, angry that she didn’t take her first-aid kit from inside her glove box. She took a few deep, shaky breaths. In med school, she had been taught to remain calm in stressful situations, but she had never been very good at it. Her mind started to race for any kind of solution to her problems. She closed her eyes tightly, straining her mind for anything that she could grasp on to.

Before she knew it, the voice began to speak again, informing us that danger was close. Rowan snapped out of her trance, and ran to a nearby car. She broke what was left of a window with her elbow, and began to search.

“Come on, please be good,” she mumbled urgently. “Anything good..”

Pat heard the car alarm and the voice over the intercom, warning them of impending danger, he felt the weight at his hip, and reached for it but hesitated. He would need to conserve ammo for as long as he could. Instead he crouched down and gripped at his boot, retrieving a long, mean looking combat knife he retained from his stint in the marines. He flexed his neck from left to right popping his neck and readied himself for a fight.

(Sorry for the short post, I got a lot to do as of late)

tumblr_oos315D4GP1s2tg5no2_250.gifDiala turned around seeing as she didn't seem to be getting a reply any time soon. On her way back to the others one of the females caused the alarm to go off. At that moment Diala crouched down on instinct and when the clicking noises began she quickly got up only to realize that she was in the open. The voice behind the intercom didn't make her feel any better she had imagined it to be something we stood a chance against but that voice had to make it sound like we had no hope even hiding wouldn't help. Sighing Diala lifted her gun ready to fight surprisingly she was calm and for the first time in forever too. Maybe it was because she hasn't seen what he looks like or maybe it was that she was surrounded by other people. "Come to think of it..."

Diala looked around at the arrivals most of them were girls the majority which might have been sexist at the time but it was true. Was it stereotyping to say 'girls can't fight'? Well, in this case, most of them could at least she hoped so.

A sense of shock and fear ran over Linda as she heard the alarm go off while walking back with Diala. She clenched her purse in one hand and the bat in the other. The voice on the intercom made the situation worse for her, ensuing more fear and confusion. She looked at Diala who had pulled out her gun and noticed her surprisingly calm expression. The sounds of the metal clinking against the pavement grew louder and louder making Linda more tense and anxious. Linda looked at her bat and pondered, "I.... I don't know if I can do this" she thought. She then looked up and around at the buildings hoping for some sign that a building or something could be entered, avoiding confrontation with what ever was pursuing through the fog. All the while she also noticed all the new arrivals and realized everything was making much less sense then before. She pondered whether to stay with Diala and the others or to find a place to hide and try to get everyone there.
