Race of Mens

Humans have existed in this world for as long as anyone could remember, evolving among the plateaus and mountain ranges of Mixta Mare. Born in this mountainous region, early Human settlements saw little to no contact with outside villages, as the mountain's harsh terrains during the pinnacle of each season let loose a new terror among the land's inhabitants. In the winters, the mountain peaks would freeze over, forcing the many mountain top cities of humans to be under threat of avalanche. In the fall, with the snows melting, it has been recorded that many a villages and it's inhabitants would be swept to their demise, leaving little remnants of their existence behind. In the summers, the blistering heats would force the cities into the many valleys, which led to many wars and combats between the human tribes.

As times changed, and people evolved, humans began to drove together into city states, each rising in it's own power. Simple threats of nature became less prevalent as stone masonry rose to favor, and even less so when the forging of metal came into play. As the world struck 4 B.E, the various leaders of the human world finally decided to form an alliance, though a loose one at that. With the ever looming gaze of the Elves on their borders, Humans could not longer turn a blind eye to the threat on their borders.

Over the next years, relationships between the races turned from uncomfortable to hostile, with small scale raids happening on both sides. Finally, war broke out, with the humans invading one of the Elven cities resting just beyond the mountains to the East of Mixta Mare. Through a long night of bloody combat and atrocities unseen by either race before, the Elves retaliated, sending their forces to siege a human major city, Turallia. As the Elves stormed through the gates, the waves of peasants and innocents ran screaming in terror, but it was far too late, leading to the extinction of the entire race of Turallians.

Over the next several years, the humans were driven back in their lands, until eventually submitting to their Elven dominators. Half of the Human population was taken into slavery, sold off in fleets and caravans in their state of broken will and mind.

Following their grand defeat, religion filled the voids in their heart where anger and rage had once resided. A certain prophet, Prophet Dufar, reintroduced the survivors of the war to the ways of a fabled empire, The Holy Roman Empire. Originally introduced as a fictional writing in humanity's earlier years, the Prophet Dufar chose to interpret it's musings as reality, and in their weakened state, the humans rallied to his teachings. Restructuring themselves slowly but surely, the humans forged a new empire, this time united under the single banner of religion. On the turning of two centuries since their downfall, the humans rejoiced and celebrated as they prospered in their golden age of technology. Brandishing fortresses and cities of stone and iron high in the mountain sides, the humans lived aloof of the world around them. That was, until, the gaze of the Elves turned to the humans once more.

Outraged and insulted that they had revived from their slave-like state, the authorities behind the Elven council deemed their destruction a necessity for the good of their people, as well as an investment to the future of the land. Humans had a habit of tearing asunder the earth and nature around them, ideals which the Elves could not forgive. However this war was different than the previous one the Elves had experienced. Where before they fought savages who barely stood together, this time they fought a united people's, empowered with the will and fortitude of a greater power than them, the power of belief.

The Union War was long and drawn out, reaching multiple standstills as neither race knew what to do or how to win the war. Eventually, it broke down to small, guerilla combat based war, with small insertion teams from both sides wreaking havoc on small scales, hoping to disrupt the other's moral. Exhausted after over 20 years of combat, the humans and Elves were presented with another threat from the west. Orcs.

Seen once as savages who were deemed of little threat, the Great Chief Nur'Ok banded together the tribes of barbarians and sorcerers, and swept across the nations in a storm of rage. Setting entire cities and forests ablaze, Nur'Ok's fury could not be stopped as he quickly approached the Realms of Humans and Elves. Acknowledging this threat, a summit of leaders was called in the L'vari hills resting between the human and elven territories. In this summit, through an exchange of centuries of hatred and mistrust, the two races ultimately decided that neither could stop the approaching threat alone, and as such they must band together.

At the union of these two peoples, the Union War concluded, and the Empire was formed.

Stopping the Orcish rampage in a bloody carnage, the combined might of the Humans and Elves descended upon the Orcish hordes in a night raid, laying low an entire species in but little more than a few hours. Those that remained after the carnage, were used and distributed as slaves and spectacles of the upper crust. Only a select few groups of Orcs were chosen to live in controlled colonies under the watchful eye of their overlords. However due to the oppression, the Orcish races abandoned their lustful ways, instead looking towards the higher arts and magics. Few brutes of the race remain in today's world.

Human and Elves never really forgave each other for the atrocities committed as an uneasy union continued throughout the years. As the Demon Wars ensued, in addition to the colonization of Novus, an unspoken competition of superiority drives the actions of the respective leaderships.

Copia, to most people for the majority of history, was known only for the races that live upon the land. However, this theory was shattered with the discovery of the Dwarven race in early years, with the first reports of sightings popping up around 1 B.E. The world would come to know them as full hearted, fastidious, and family oriented peoples.

However, the Dwarfs of Copia in actuality started out as very secluded tribes that lived in the various canyons and crevasses of the upper world. Finding out early on in their existence that they had an innate ability to live without direct sunlight, the race of Dwarves decided for their preservation from the savage early world of Copia, to dig down and live below the surface of the Earth. Through this act, many early civilizations that had any sort of contact or mentions of the Dwarven race simply recorded it as folk lore, for Dwarves were not seen again for thousands of years.

Secluded in little pockets and tribes, the Dwarves began their existence as small sub-terrain villages, slowly expanding only when they needed more room. As villages and populations grew, however, simple cavern hovels turned into vast, complicated cities with endless corridors, built upon the architectural ideals of efficiency and space. While their personal lives were very humble in proportion to many other races, they grew as communities as a result. Dwarven ideals began to stem from what an individual could contribute to his family and society, and less about individualism.

As the centuries went on, many tribes, secluded for hundreds of years, began to tunnel and dig and make contact with other tribes. Discovering that they had kin for the first time in their existences, many of the various breeds of Dwarves began quite extravagant in their celebrations, leading towards the eventual definitive trait of their people. An unspoken rule of society was that one was to work their hardest, for the good of the colony and the good of their family, but when not working, they should be able to celebrate their daily achievements to their fullest extents. Around 500 years prior to B.E was when the Dwarves first developed ale and alchohal, which changed the course of their society forever. Never having a true currency to exchange past favors and other supplies, the race finally found a consistent medium among all of their peoples, and a true nation was born.

Society booming from unionizing, a flourishing economy, and a steady income of materials from the many mines rendered the Dwarves as one of the strongest nations in the world. In their very few dealings with the upper world starting around 50 years prior to B.E., many nations that glimpsed upon their vast cities and armories feared an attack from below foot. However this would never come to fruition, as in 47 B.E., on a very particular mining operation ordered by Emperor Tironichus III, the Dwarves mined down the wall of a great cavern, revealing a hostile race on the other side. Labelled only as Drachna, the lizard-like race responded to their disruption with hostility.

In 48 B.E., full out war was declared by the Dwarven Empire, beginning the longest war in Copia's known history. Bloody and brutal, the two races fought over the many caverns, tunnels, and mines dug out by both races over the centuries. Neither was entirely justified in their causes, as both claimed ownership to the below-world, but nonetheless the two races fought and fought until eventually exhausting the majority of their resources, populations, and virtues. Entire stone cities still lay abandoned and unspoken of as the wars claimed the lives of 80% of the Dwarven race. It is still unclear how many Drachna truly remain, as most of them either fled to the surface world or even deeper into the great unknown abyss' that even Dwarves dared not delve.

In 122 I.A., the upper world, in the process of unification, eventually turned it's eye towards the broken and weakened denizens of stone, conquering and forcing them to join the unified nation. Modern day Dwarves maintain many of their traits which they adapted over the centuries, however many survivors and ancestors of the Iron Wars still retain their brutal-wartime ideology due to the atrocities committed on both sides.

Over the years, however, many Dwarves became integrated into society, allowing for much more civilized individuals, and introducing their race to the ways of magic.

As a side note, many Dwarves retained their innate racial heritage of being able to sense movement in the earth around them. Due to centuries upon centuries of living on the same ground as their families and friends, Dwarves as a race became accustomed to feeling every meaty foot slamming into the earth as their brethren moved all around them. While much less clear on the surface world, Dwarves have unsurpassed spacial awareness, making them natural born hunters and trackers.

Throughout history, many a human were used for various reasons. Following their loss to the Elves in the first wars, many humans were shipped off to the various races of the worlds to be used as slaves and pets. Based on their various masters, some were used as a commodity of the rich and powerful as breeding animals, leading to the first half-races of the world. Being the only race that could both breed and receive the children of other races, humans for the next hundred years were bought and sold in droves as entertainment to their various overlords.

In a moment of lack of foresight, however, half-races of almost all breeds were looked down upon in society. Seen as disgraces to the various race's bloodlines and heritages, many half-breeds, even those born of noble birth, we often either killed upon birth or discarded as the lowest ranking members of the plebeians. Eventually becoming numberous enough to exit their villages and form their own societies, most half-breeds escaped to the remote reaches of the world, be it atop perilous peaks and mountain ranges, or as wandering tribes of the various deserts.

Modern day half-breeds have certainly become more normal in their acknowledgement of society, as most races began coexisting post-unification, however never entirely welcome in the company of full-bloods, a residual hatred still often arises.

During the great plagues, the city of Dimidium was almost entirely wiped out, as the plague filled the streets and it's inhabitants fled from their untimely demise. However due to their body compositions, most half breeds discovered that they were immune to the plague, and began occupying the city in full. Post Demon Wars, the vibrant city of Dimidium has become one of the most profitable cities in Copia, as it allows and encourages trade, no matter who or what is in the transaction. However due to it's nature of being open armed, Dimidium has become a harbor for many criminals and fugitives, seeking shelter from the various nations of the world.

The streets and life of a resident in the slums of Dimidium is surely hard and treacherous, but those who emerge alive upon their 18th name days are some of the most prepared and street-savvy members of the world.

OK everything checks out and is good. PLZ ADD ANY MAJOR EVENTS YOU DESCRIBE TO THE TIME LI E WITH A BRIGHT GREEN STAR. TY
