Signature thingy?

signature is what most forum based RP sites call it so I'm gonna guess you guys know what it is.

Where can I put a signature? I looked through the settings and I can't seem to find where I can put one.

(A signature is what you put so a sentence or picture of your choice is shown below every post/reply you make)

I hope I explained it well, you're probably going "wth??" Right now lol

Hi,

You need 10 posts and to be a member for 24 hours in order to have a signature. You can read more about the 10 post/24 hour rule here.

Cheers,

Mord

Seriously?

Okay. Thanks for answering! At least I won't be left wondering why everyone else has a signature when I can't find the settings.

But I signed up yesterday I think it was... So I'm guessing I need to post more.

We do it as an anti-spam measure. We used to have a lot of issue with bots joining the site and abusing these features for their own gain, whether it be their website, spam, etc. Ergo, we had to put something in place to keep this behaviour at bay. You just reached 10 posts now. Sometimes, the software takes up to an hour to update and realize you've met the requirements. Give it a little bit. Once it kicks in, you'll see the option to edit your signature in the drop-down bar found by clicking your avatar button in the righthand side of the nav bar at the top. (:

Thanks! Oh and since you already answered my question (and I see you're an administrator) is there a way you can lock this thread?

(is that still a thing? I haven't used forum based sites in so long I forget that you gotta get mods or someone higher up to lock threads))

We can lock threads, yes. :P

I'm not sure there is a point. No one will respond if the question has been answered, I'm assuming. If at any time you do need a thread locked though, feel free to reach out to anyone on the staff team OR make a thread at roleplay support. Roleplay support will be your fastest bet because the entire staff team can see it then. This is also a place to go to request other things, like forum deletion, moving threads, etc. etc. etc.

I mean, I just don't want this thread cluttering the whole thing when there's other threads with unanswered questions..

:P Don't worry. It'll just sink to the bottom as new things are posted. Thanks for the concern though!

Alrighty.

Thanks again btw
