yeah all the roles are sexy in their own right. each of them are also important as I’m going to do a channel in discord this time around that allows for certain roles to see certain clues. also gives you an incentive, or rather your characters, to keep the npcs alive as their skills will come in handy in finding out what happened! as this is a whole mystery what happened to the inhabitants on the mh-desdemona and while I usually love world building with others this one is going to leave you guys in the dark. well, apart from the rest of the world - if you have any ideas for lore (e.g., events, companies, etc) let me know !!

good question !! I’d prefer realistic faceclaims but that does not mean they necessarily have to be real people. I’m okay with realistic art if need be, since I know sometimes finding the right person is hard!

personally I’ll be using realistic faceclaims of actors since that’s my gig but if you wanna use art that’s okay !!

EDIT: or of course none at all! if you can describe your character in detail enough then feel free to abandon it altogether !!

thanks !! same here, I love mystery and the dread of writing and not knowing what a character is going to face. i have definitely debated the idea of dice for this (nothing too intrusive) but still unsure.

we stan virgil but I get what you mean!! I’m thinking at the very least a week and a bit once the thread drops? maybe two? I’m also unsure if I will reuse the same characters or make new ones??? like I love them but also don’t want them being stale

good question !! considering the sheer size of these stations, which are always being built upon to accommodate the growth - it is usually one per country. space stations are incredibly dense/overcrowded in population, which is why people choose to get their own ship when possible.

however, if for plotting reasons you need a country to have two space stations, we can work around that. let me know !!

I guess another question would be, do these stations have names already, or should we just send you name ideas for approval on an individual basis? My thought being, "character A" is from the Mexican station, so they would want to know the name of that station, but don't necessarily need names for the other stations, unless they would become pertinent to said character.

mm I get what you mean! I got as far as you using the three letter code abbreviation for said countries but not the name. therefore, if you have any ideas I trust you guys enough to come up with something appropriate or else I can do it? shouldn’t take too long !!

for reference, the MHS-Desdemona, the ”MHS” stands for Melton-Hisano Corp. Most spaceships follow this three letter abbreviation of their organisation or country of origin and a name for the actual vessel if that makes sense?

idk if it matters to anyone else, but I was going to mention the russian space station in my cs, i was just going to name it RUS-SVOBODA, which according to google translate (bc i know absolutely no russian) means freedom, if anyone has anything better (pls have something better i cant think of anything else ) pls feel free to pipe in

not you doubting yourself when that’s a cute idea. I’ll let everyone else name them for now, as long as they are non-offensive of course. in the end, it isn’t the biggest deal as while I’ve created this universe, the roleplay will be primarily set in the mhs-desdemona, with mentions to said places/events/groups.
