Side Effects (a LIVIN RP)

"So do we figure out baby names now or what?"

Davin slipped into his obscenely yellow crocs and sighed. The doc mmase it clear that while this was an anomaly, they'd treat the case like a regular pregnancy.

The thought of givng birth acared the hell out of Davin. He wasn't too keen on babies-- with the exception of Sean, who visited them from time to time.

Davin realized that he'd have to tell their entire family, and the world, that it was possible for.a man to have a child and that he was proof.

"What about Wyatt? I've always liked that name..." Will brought Dav over to the living room, pulling him down on the couch gently. He never imagined himself in this position...picking baby names...with a child on the way. It was mind boggling. He was content to go with it of course, so he didn't have to point out all the other pressing matters that had arrived along with the situation. He really didn't want to be the sensible one right now.

"Names are the last thing we should be worrying about," Davin said quietly, leaning back on Will. "I never thought I'd be able to be a parent. And though I am glad to be carrying your child, I want to be sure you're on board."

He curled up in his lover's embrace, shaking just a little. Davin had never felt so small in his life. And for once, he'd have to be the one being protected.

"Of course I'm on board," Will murmured, nuzzling the back of Davin's neck and holding him close. "I can't believe i'm gonna be a...a father, ya'know?" he said, smiling against Dav's skin. "I'll do everything I can to make this easier on you," he added, sliding a hand down to rest on his husband's stomach tenderly.

"So...what happens now?"

Will was usually the man with a plan, and though he'd never admit it Davin leaned on his decisions heavily. He curled into the man's arms and sighed, holding his hand where it lay on his stomach. "I really hope I can go back to looking like you want me to after this. I wonder if Calvin Kline makes maternity boxers..."

"Nonsense," Will looked at Davin sharply. "Haven't I told you before that no matter what you look like...you're always beautiful to me," Will chided. "Best thing to do from here...well we eventually are gonna have to tell everyone. But that part's up to you ok? I wont rush you into anything," he promised, smiling at the boxer comment.

"Yeah that outght to go over well. Hey, Mom and Dad. I'm carrying your son's child. I'm gonna squeeze it out of my garden hose." Davin quipped, sitting up.

"Your little champ and/or princess better be well worth all the catastophic mess this will kick up. Not to mention more press!"

Davin had slowly gotten used the cameras following him. Even did some wacky things to spice up their lives--by showing off a very nice ass tattoo. But thry would eat this story up faster than Amanda Bynes burning her dog.

He winced at the disturbing mental image before smiling weakly up at Dav. Will sighed, nodding. "They just got over us being together too...nosy bastards. Well, on the other hand, our child's gonna be more famous than Will and Kate's..." he trailed off with a grin. It looked like the two of them were never going to be permanently out of the spotlight - not that Will minded too much.

"Born to be famous, eh Dav?" he said, a bit proud. Kid was gonna be a socialite before even exiting the womb...a chip off the old block.

"At least you're happy about it. You aren't the one who ia about to blow up like a balloon." Davin laughed as he lifted the t.v. remote. "Enough of baby talk...lets watch some Thrones." He smiled, pressing a button that turned everything on.

"Hello? Anna? Tell him I'm cancelling Dubai," Will said into the phone as he shut the car door. He listened for a few moments, grabbing a briefcase out of the passenger seat and heading toward the house, before speaking again.

"No, that's good. Just make sure they have the check by Monday - and dear GOD don't let that intern near my paperwork again," he finished before putting the phone away, unlocking the door, and stepping inside.

"Dav? I'm back," he shouted, not really sure where his husband was at the moment as he trudged toward the kitchen and dumped his stuff on the counter - once again forgetting Davin's aversion to clutter in the kitchen.

Davin sat at the computer desk, his barefeet hanging from the chair. As he typed, a pen cap sat wedged between his teeth. "I'm here!" he called out, quickly exiting the browser. He'd been looking for tips on how to announce a pregnancy. All he'd gotten from the site was whiny exclamations from teenage mothers, littered with the occasional trolling. He stood and scratched his head, hard pressed on how he would go about it. In rhe end, he chose a dinner. Food would loosen everyone up and keep then sluggish so they wouldn't charge at him or the love of his life. As he walked to the foyer, he made a mental note to pull out his most decadant recipies.

"Hey you." He whispered before kissing the man of his dreams.

Will hummed against Dav's lips, snaking his hand around the man's waist and holding him there.

"Managed to get out of that business trip," he added, gazing at his husband lovingly.

"As if I'd take off without you two," he said, eyeing Dav's stomach before kissing him again. "How was your day?"

"Well, I took the liberty of making you a nice dinner." Davin smirked, rolling his eyes. "I stepped down as Executive Chef, but since we own the establishment, there ought to be no harm or foul there. And...I decided how we are gonna tell your parents." He turned in William's arms, a sheepish and playful smile on his lips.

"We have to tell them first. Then, the world for all I care. But, as of right now, they are the only two people who will either bring joy or shame into this circumstance." Davin then wiggled his way out of the hold. "How was work anyway...and what was the result of you getting out of Dubai? I could have just went with you..."

"You would have been bored...and hot," Will said, shaking his head. "Besides, I figured we need time to figure out everything here without having to worry about all of my crap," he added, heading to the fridge and talking out a bottle of water, twisting the cap off and talking a few gulps before continuing. "So what's your plan for spreading the good news, Dav?"
