Jackson's father had just gotten married. Though it was supposed to be a happy occasion, he couldn't help but to feel a bit strange--he had known his father his whole life, but he had never had a mother. Or a sibling. He had a lot of mixed feelings for his biological mother, who had left both him and his father when he was only two years old for another man, and now, he feels even more confused on as to feel for his father, and his new mother. She was nice enough, but he wasn't sure how he'd get along with both her and her daughter. Jack's father had promised him they were both going to be great, and they were very nice, but he was still quite skeptical. He hadn't even met this girl who is now going to be living in the same household as he does--how messed up is that?

Music blasted from the stereo as crowds of people dance in the center of the large room, laughing and grinning like drunken fools. Some of them probably were drunk--but that wasn't unexpected; it's an after party, in fact. Beers were held in the men's hands, and champagne glasses in the women's. Jackson went around from person to person, introducing himself with a happy smile and asking if they needed anything, as his father had instructed him. He didn't really mind, of course, because he did enjoy meeting new people. It just wasn't pleasant to meet people that were buzzed and half-drunk. It reminded him too much of his fathers when he drank sometimes.

Then he saw her. Noelle was her name, he recalled. The girl that would soon be moving in to the room across the hall from his. Jackson approached her with a small lopsided smile.
"So, you're the famous Noelle Harper? Well, I'm Jackson. I'm sure your mother has at least told you of me, yes?" he asked with a wink, and then laughed. "Anyways, do you need anything? Food? Water? My father wants everyone to be taken care of."

Noelle's mother had just got married. To say that she wasn't really excited about was something that you could describe how she had felt. Though she knew if her father was here he would of told her to stop being a Debby Downer. Noelle wasn't very fond with her new dad, she had only met him a couple times though that was it. Who was she to judge on a man she had barley met. She had wished her father hadn't moved away, Noelle wouldn't be in this situation if he had just stayed and not leave just because her Mother and him had gotten into a couple of heated fights. Yeah, they would probably cut off each other necks off but we could still be a happy family.

Noelle sighed, as she had started getting a headache from all these thoughts. Besides, the loud booming music wasn't exactly helping either. She grumbled under her breath for her mother forcing her to come to this party. "I, rather be at home. Though I could meet a few people. It wouldn't hurt to meet more people anyways." Noelle had thought to herself before she had noticed no older than eighteen come over to her. She greeted him with a smile as he had made his way over to her.

As he had gotten closer Noelle had noticed that it was the boy her mother had told her about. "Jackson Adamson." She had thought to herself before slightly shaking her head and smiling widely at the boy. " My mother has actually told me about you. Surprisingly. " Noelle had said mumbling the last part to herself before looking back up to the boy. " Looks, like someone's going to be on duty all day on this party." She had said smirking at the boy before saying something else. " But no I'm fine Jackson." Noelle had said to Jackson's question.

The girl was pretty, to say the least. She had a cute smile, too, he noted. Of course, he didn't linger too long on these thoughts--after all, it was an after party for his father's wedding, not some crazy high school party. Still, he couldn't help but to smile at Noelle. Jack nodded, opening his mouth. "Just call me Jack," he flashed a smile. "Yeah, someone has to, I guess. Half these people are either almost drunk, or not thinking straight, which would include my father, so I guess I'm the only one responsible enough to look after everyone when my father isn't here." He shrugged, leaning against the wall as he let out a small yawn. What time is it? Glancing at his watch, he sighed. It's almost nine o'clock already?

"So, you sure you don't want a drink or anything? We have punch, water, or some soda," he offered, looking at her. "Really, it's not a big deal. Besides, a girl like you should be having fun, am I right? You look like you're about to fall asleep or something. We should go have some fun. There's a TV upstairs if you're down to watch a movie while we wait." Jack smiled, glancing around the crowd. He spotted a few friends of his father's, all mingling and laughing as they huddled around the TV, probably watching football or something--it was Sunday. Good thing they had break, otherwise he'd have a long night ahead of him. Jack cleared his throat, looking back at her with a grin.

Noelle rolled her eyes a bit before chuckling. "Alright Jack." She had said as his name had rolled off her tongue. " Nice name." She had said smiling a bit. Noelle had listened to Jackson or Jack as he liked to be called, ramble on about the people at this party. " So, your saying I'm not responsible. Rude! Jack is rude." Noelle had said playfully pouting before laughing. " I'm just kidding." She had said winking at Jack before slightly chuckling. " I'm sure I would probably fall asleep on a toilet if you didn't come over to save me from over here." Noelle had said running her fingers through her hair.

She had then looked around the room her eyes searching the room for at least a sight of her mother. Noelle quietly sighed and looked at the ground before abruptly looking up at Jackson
. " No, I'm fine. Besides someone could have turned it into their own little liquor drink. I rather pass getting wasted on a wedding after party. Especially since its our parents." Noelle had said chuckling before responding to his question. "But sure, I wouldn't mind watching TV. It could almost be like Sibling In-Law bonding." She had said smiling at Jack once more. " Though think you could handle getting over these wasted people? Cause I can." Noelle had said winking at Jack before saying something else. Race you there Jack!" She had said smirking before quickly running off not giving Jack time to respond. She had pasted numerous wasted people. Before she had knew it she was by on the staircase racing to the where the TV was upstairs.
