Fandom Shoto's Small Situation

[Catro the Writer]

Izuku Midoryia walked into a hospital holding onto a blue stuffed bear that had a heart on it with the words "Feel Better Bear-y Soon!" It was a thoughtful gift from everyone in the dorms, well that and a few other things that were back at the dorm. Which at first Izuku thought that it was a good idea, but now that he was getting to the room of the person the bear was for... He was having second thoughts. They weren't going to think that this was some sort of cruel joke, would they? But it was a bit too late to turn back. Though if he used his quirk to run he could be to the dorms and back in a matter of minutes... But he was here now. He walked down the hallway of the hospital, after getting the room number, and soon the white and grey walls changed to bright yellow and blue. The plain flooring with a bright red with lilypads painted on it and the sound of cartoons could be heard from the rooms. Making his way towards the end of the hall, Izuku knocked on the door before being told to come in. Standing in the room was a doctor going over some papers with the patient that laid on the medical bed. Which the kid... Teen? It was a little weird to think about. But laying on the bed was Shoto Toridoki laid on the bed.

the red and white haired child just nodded his head still in a daze at everything as the doctor went through some basic checks including looking at his eyes and mussle responses

everything and everyone seemed....bigger?

the lad knew what had happened but his mind still refused to believe it

Izuku walked over and looked at his friend. It was weird seeing the number 2 fighter as a little kid. Laying the children's section on the hospital being tested on like was just a little kid. But here they are.

"Yep you look as fine as a fittle." The doctor said scribbling some stuff down on the paper. "Other then the... Age adjustment." He said. They had all sorts of quirk nullifiers and healers in to try to see if they could help Shoto, whom was attacked by a villian who did this to him. But it seemed like nothing had worked. But he was physically healthy from what they could see. He may be a bit unstable... But other then that he was fine. "I assume he's here to pick you up?" The doctor said looking at Izuku, who just waved a bit sheepishly.

i....uh yes he says quietly with a nod

the odd thing about his predicament was that despite appearing around 6 years old he still retained the scar on the side of his face

"Ok." The doctor said handing the boy a green lollipop, a bit awkwardly. As he was use doing this for kids... But that's not exactly what Shoto was. "Uh.... Let me go tell the nurse you guys are free to go." He said getting up and leaving.

"Um... H-hey Shoto." Izuku said nervously walking over, "How are you doing? You look good... You know concidering." He said giving a nervous chuckle.

im fine he says holding his tiny hand out in front of him and rotating it while inspecting it

he felt ok if a bit shakey and weak as was evident in the slightly vibrating hand

"Good." He said sitting on the side of the boys bed and watched him moving his arms. The way his hands shook it looked like he was having a low blood sugar or something like that. "You hungry... Oh hey this is for you." He said holding the bear out for the boy, "Um... Eri picked it out." He said

shoto gave a small smile seeing the bear

if izu had told him anyone but eri had picked it out he probably would have considered it a mean joke

as it was he took it and set it next to him on the bed


yeah....i could use something that has flavor he says

"Oh, ok." He said getting up, "There's a a vending machine I'll get you a candy bar." He said. Glad to see the boy didn't reject the teddy bear. It probably would have hurt Eris heart of the boy wouldn't have accepted it. But Izuku had the feeling if the bear came from anyone else it wouldn't have gone all that well.

Izuku went out and went to the vending machine and got the boy a pack of KitKats to eat.

meanwhile shoto shakily got up and using the bed as a support he made his way over to a set of clothes that had been set out for him and got out of the hospital gown he was currently wearing and slowly got into the childish clothes the nurses had given him

Izuku soon had the KitKat and got back to the door before just barging in on the boy.
"Got your candy bar Shoto." He said entering the door after a second

t...thanks he says with a grunt as izuku was greeted with quite a sight

shoto had become tangled in his shirt a arm through the head hole and hid head attempting to go through the arm hole

Um... Should I come back or... Um... Help?" He asked unsure what he was witnessing and how he should go about it... But it was a interesting sight that was for sure.

uhhh...umm... he says struggling a bit longer before finally sighing

Izuku had a smile on his face and was fighting back the urge to laugh, as it was a bit funny. But he managed to fight it and went over and helped the boy out and got the shirt on him. Thankfully he seemed to have gotten the rest of it on just fine by himself. "Ok that should work." He said helped him to his feet and handed him the candy bar, "Hope you like KitKats." He said

shoto didn't respond and hungrily chowed on the kit-kat

Izuku flinched as the candy bar was ripped from his hands and the boy devoured it. "Um... Have you eaten anything since you've gotten here?" He asked seeing the boy finishing the candy bar in seconds.

nothing with flavor he says as he had been eating nothing but flavorless sandwitches the past 3 days ever since the incident

"Um... But you've eaten, right?" He asked as the boy devoured the candy bar in record time and was trembling. Which lead Izuku to believe the kid was not eating at all. "Maybe we get something to eat before we get back to the dorms." He suggested

yes please!!! the boy was hungry for some actual food as he looked up with a smear of chocolate on his face

he did look pretty scrawny for his age but that was possibly just a normal appearance for him

Ok..." He said, Izuku did note the boy appearance. Which also lead to his theory of him not eating. Could Shoto even walk like this? "We can stop by Subway on the way back to the dorms." He said taking his sleeve and wiping Shotos face with it before standing up, "Sound good?"

ahk! hey! he says as his face was cleaned

yeah yeah sure he says as he shakily reached for his shoes that were on the ground


they had a plastic "allmight" design on them

Izuku wasn't wanting to embarrass the boy... But with how weak and slow the boy was moving. Izuku got on his knees again and slipped the shoes onto his feet and tied them for him. "Ok." He said smiling at Shoto, "Got your bear? Eri would be hurt of you left it behind." He said

shoto puffed a cheek out as he was helped before he stood back up wobbly

yeah ill get it he says once again slowly moving and using the bed for support to grab the bear

Izuku looked at Shoto still nervous about him. Maybe it was because he wasn't used to his body yet... But the boy was definitely unsteady on his feet. But he felt like he wouldn't want any more of Izukus help.
