Marie Genesis Carter.

The day had been slow. Marie’s bakery has always been slow. It was almost summer and most college students were in the small cafe for studying or just some snacks here and there. Ms. Carter still didn’t mind. Everyone was respectful and always left by 8, when the shop closed.
Little Shop of Pastries was popular. Not a chain but just popular. It had been open for 3 years; since Marie had gotten out of culinary college and decided this is what she wanted to do with her life. Her father had called her crazy. She graduated top of her class and valedictorian but she chose this small bakery over the chance of a lifetime. But this is what she wanted. A small, simple, quiet life.
Her bubble gum pink hair was tied up into a tight bun today but some of the frizzy curls were out of place, the short 5’2 woman not minding though. Her dark caramel skin shown nicely under her dark green button up and her jean shorts were accompanied by bright red converse. Not the best choice for working on her feet all day but the short nerd didn’t care.
