Shoot to Kill (SnowFeather x DarkHawk)

Zara smiled up at him and looked into his eyes. She reached up and placed a soft kiss on his lips, closing her eyes.

She felt his weight above her, but he didn't lay entirely on her, so she did not mind.

Leon blushed just as bad with each kiss. Wondering what to do now. He had no experience with women and wasn't sure what to do next. "Uh... What do we do now?... Like... Do we go out or something?." He asked quietly and blushed badly.

Zara blushed. Her eyes widened at his words. "Umm," she mumbled as she slipped out from underneath him.

"I don't think that'd be appropriate.. I'm your captain," she said, fixing her hair.

Leon blushed worse and sat off to the side but noded. "Yeah.. Good point." He didn't know why but it hurt. He shrugged it away because it wasn't right at the moment but it still hurt.

He looked towards Zara and smiled slightly, giving her one quick kiss.

Zara narrowed her eyes and this time, she slapped his cheek. "Stop that, that's an order!" She snapped.

Leon stood up straight in attention and nodded. "Yes sir!" He raised his hand to his forehead as salute.

Zara narrowed her eyes and spun around. She opened his door and glanced back at him. "If you ever speak of this to anyone, I will find you on the battlefield, and shoot you myself." She hissed.

She then slammed the door behind her, taking long strides to reach the combat training room. She soon did, and walked inside. No one was there. Good.

Leon slid down against the wall, his chest still ached and he didn't know why. "I need to kill something..." He said quietly as he closed his eyes. His mind races about all that just happened. Why did it happen? What does it mean?

Nothing. That's his conclusion, nothing changes. Nothing will now and won't later. He just needs to focus on war. There is no need for anything other than that.

Zara trained in the room for hours and hours, getting more intense as she went. In the end, she was almost screaming in anger.

Leon didn't do much for the rest of the day. He mostly laid down and rested. His head hurt, his chest hurt, and even his hands were shaking. What was wrong with him? Why did he feel like this? It makes no sense.

Leon decided to just work out a little. Doing basic things in his room up until Miller arrived, giving him a dirty look and then laying down in bed.

Zara walked down the corridor, nodding to a lieutenant who passed her. He saluted. She continued walking, and soon reached her quarters.

She didn't go inside, but instead continued walking. She soon passed the company's quarters, but did not stop and enter one of them. She continued walking.

Leon sighed and got ready to sleep. He crawled into bed and slowly drifted off. He dreamt of Zara and war. Not knowing which to choose.

"Initiate program Blackburn-PiAlpha." Initiating program.

Zara walked out onto the field and took off her jacket. The warm breeze blew through her hair, making it dance in the wind.

She took out a Beretta M9 from its holster and took a deep breath. This wasn't any of ordinary field. It was in fact a holodeck.

She hasn't left the building at all.

Leon's dreams were not peaceful. But to him they brought calm. He was content with the way things were. Just him loving battle, nothing else. But now something new was in the fray? He didn't understand himself anymore..

Targets, people, an army. They came across the field, and soon Zara was flanked by..yes, her company.

"Alpha-Company!! On my mark!" Zara shouted. She glanced over to see Leon, his face stern and emotionless, his gaze directed at the enemy.

She frowned, but shook it off. "Now!" She ordered. They split up and started to fire at the enemy, who returned fire. Soon it was a battlefield. Grenades were thrown and exploded. It was no longer as peaceful as it was when she entered.

But that was the beauty of war. It disrupted peace, but at the same time brought a rush of adrenaline that Zara couldn't resist. It was like a drug, and she was an addict.

Leon woke up just a little later. He couldn't sleep, he needed to do something. He got up and headed towards the door. Not caring enough to put a shirt on. He checked his watch, it was 0200.

As he opened the door he glanced down each direction of the hall. Seeing no one he ventured out, looking around for anything really interesting. So, he decided to hit the gym. He walked around until he found it and grabbed a water on the way.

As he found it finally he glanced in through the door's window. No one. It was completely empty. So, he cordially invited himself in. He pumped iron, did sit ups, ran on the treadmill, basically anything he could to get the blood flowing and his muscles moving.

The battle raged on. Bullets flew back and forth, soldiers fell. Zara's clothes were almost soaked in blood. She heard a scream, and she froze.

She turned to see a man falling to the ground, covering his eyes. Gas. "Gas!!" She yelled. She covered her eyes and ran towards the fallen man. As she came nearer, she knew he'd been blinded.

That's when he started screaming. "Captain!! Captain!! Captain!!" His voice echoed in her head.

She saw him get up and she ran towards him. BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!! Bullets rang through the air, straight into the soldier's chest.

"No!!" She shrieked, her eyes wide. The man fell and she raised her gun, firing on the man who shot. She crouched beside her fallen comrade and tears came to her eyes.

It was Leon. "No... No!" She exclaimed, cupping his face. She rested her forehead against his and he held a hand behind her head. She cried, her tears falling down on his cheeks.

(I was thinking he could walk by and see himself get shot and all that, being blinded.)

"Computer, end program." The battlefield ended, revealing a bare room, with Zara crouching on the ground in tears.

(Ahhhh. Sorry. I got dis. xD Never will I say "Dis" again.)

Leon finished up his workout. The sweat dripping down his body. He exited the room with a towel around his shoulders. He kept walking until coming up on the training room. He peeked inside to see Zara screaming, and.. His body lying on the floor in front of her.

The program ended but she was still crying. So, Leon doing the only thing he could do, ran inside of the room and held Zara from behind. Reassuring her that he was there. "I'm here. I'm alive. I won't die..." He whispered.

Zara felt a pair of strong, familiar arms around her and blushed. She heard his voice and her eyes lit up. She leaned back into his embrace and smiled slightly.

She turned towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck, burying her face into his shoulder.

Leon held onto Zara tightly. Running his fingers through her hair slowly. He whispered in her hair quietly, trying not to startle her. "Hey.. I'm here.. I won't die. I wouldn't do that to you.."

Leon stayed like that with her for as long as she needed. Not caring how long it took.

Zara nodded. She wiped her tears and laid her face in the crook of his neck. Her lips brushed against his skin.

"Thank you Leon," she whispered.

Leon smiles gently and rubbed Zara's back. "Anything for you.." He whispered quietly and kissed her forehead. "Now let's get out of here, okay?"

Zara nodded and hugged him tightly, smiling. "Yeah," she replied. Her grip around his neck loosened and she got ready to stand up.
