If there is a reference, I don't know what it is :(

And just a quick note re: the red stuff spraying about. It's not blood but an engineered bio-fluid used in cyborg bodies.

Additional: I'd never heard of this character from the Metal Gear series until I happened to be looking for a face for the Asset with his mask off...

We sorta already have an Enki ;)
I propose:

Hugh Mann :)P)

Alex Murphy (Robocop!)
Lol...

Talking of which, I think Retro's left the game.

Captain Hesperus

Well, Retrocity's last activity on the forum was late december, so... for now, I'll pursue the game without him.

Alexander's an absolutely brilliant and fantastic name, worthy of great heroes and champions.

(If you hadn't guessed, it's my middle name...)

Captain Hesperus

Uhhh, I'm gonna have to say that I'll not be posting this evening (my time) since I have an early start in the morning (9:30 job interview, yay!!!), but I'll catch up when I can. Meanwhile, I'm happy for Emie and BenTipex to just shunt 'Alexander' wherever the story goes.

Captain Hesperus

Sorry if it wasn't clear enough. I wanted to say that, as I was going to bed, and as the discussion was at the moment on Alexander, I would write it in my post, but if you change your mind during my sleep, I would edit the name in the morning :( .

I hope your job interview went well, Cap!

And since you both did a stellar job, here's some xp!

EXPERIENCE POINTS

ACT 2

  • The Asset : 5 (total 9)
  • Sophia : 0 (total 8)
  • Enki : 0 (total 3)
  • One For Sorrow : 0 (total 4)
  • Ysabell : 4 (total 8)
  • Mathis : 0 (total 4)

ACT 4 N-A

I'll leave you to discuss what you did in the next few days to get the newly named Alexander (Murphy?) used to his home, but I'll assume you went to Ysabell's grandfather to open the second case and contacted Sophia to get her expertise and (eventually) tell her about all this. And since the second case is probably opened:

Another bracelet, thiner, that is obviously build to clip onto the first one. (If you try to do so, the space between them buzzes with blue-white light for a second, then stops.) Of course, trying it on may yield other information...

I'll leave you to discuss what you do with it in the ooc and to join with the fourth act when you think it appropriate (of course, both of you will probably come in at the same time. You can tell me when it's convenient if you wish me to give you an "introduction".)

Also : when I moved the Act 2 thread to archived, it left a copy/link in the main page thread. Can I delete this without deleting the archived thread?

Yes, that's just a redirect link. It should self-delete after a day or two. Three at most.

And the interview went well, I think. I'll be hearing back in about a week whether or not I'll have the job. :D

So after discussion with Emie, we came to this state of affairs:

  • Ysabell and her brother Frederic came together to get 'Alexander' a brand new wardrobe.
  • Ysabell's grandfather provided the requisite cutting tools to break into 'Mystery Case No #2'
  • Ysabell's office/library now sports an old bed and mattress (also provided by Grandfather Schild)
  • 'Alexander Renard Argenté' now has 'official' identification papers, birth records, travel documents, etc. (provided by Grandfather Schild's less savory connections)
  • There have been several further 'sexual near-misses' between the two new housemates, but nothing has happened...
  • ...Yet. ;)
  • The tension between the two should be as obvious as an Alchemical's true form.
  • Ysabell contacted Sofia regarding the strange bracelets and the odd events at Tyrell Enterprises and was invited over for a pleasant day of tea and full disclosure.

And that should be up to date. Correct me if I missed anything or got something wrong, Emie. :)

Captain Hesperus

A pleasant day of tea and full disclosure would indeed be pleasant, it would however also signify a break in the continuity. So, either we handwave it off-screen, or there is enough of a disclosure over the phone that they get invited to the alchemical workshop thing that is currently act 4.

I'm sure there was some mention of meeting a metallic man who can turn human. Depending on how much of her history Ysabell has disclosed to Sofia, easy links could well be drawn to the organic-mechanical being she encountered in the car park.

Captain Hesperus

It's not Sophia's estate, it belongs to her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Exeta. The estate should have a different name, but I have, to my shame, not come up with one.
