Well right now she has only hunted animals, so she hasn't really needed defending armor. And in RP, she isn't one who would go headon next to someone to shoot arrow with bow. She would sneak to range and shoot with bow without alerting. If she's ambushed, if enemy isn't at close combat already she would shoot with bow, if situation would be close combat, dagger and then getting distance to shoot with bow. (she would need someone who is melee in party as she really uses that dagger to harvesting carcasses or if killing animal what is trapped and not dangerous to go near)
She's really not used to fighting with humanoids

Yeah, why i said that she would sneak and shoot with arrow from far as possible is, because that way she hunts.
