'Welcome Shadowhunter's of the world, to The Academy! Welcome to the wonderful land of Idris. I hope you enjoy your stay in our sacred land. I am your Headmistress, Emily Pangborn. Here, at the Academy, you will learn to fight, to defend yourself and the Mundane race from the likes of Demons. You will think of the Academy as your new home, a place where your family lives, your brothers and sisters. You will rest on the Weekends, but if your services are needed, you must be prepared at all times. You must respect your family name, here, for it is sacred. And remember; 'The law is hard but it is the law'. If you break the Accords here, you will be prosecuted.'
For those who are not familiar with the Shadowhunter world:
The Shadowhunters are race of people, born from the Mortal Cup. They are made from both Angel and Human blood and it is their birth right to protect the Humans from the likes of Demons. In this world, there are Downworlder's. Downworlder is simply a collective term for a vampire, a warlock, a werewolf or a fairy. The Shadowhunters are on good terms with the Downworlder's and any violation of their safety is classes as a crime. Here, at the Shadowhunter Academy, you will train to fight Demons, make new friends, find your Parabatai and maybe even fall in love.
Key terms you will need to know:
Idris: The mainland of the Shadowhunters, protected by powerful wards and hidden.
Mundane: Another word for human.
Downworlder: A word for Vampire, Warlock, Werewolf or Fairy/Fae.
Accords: A set of laws placed to promote peace between Downworlders and Shadowhunters.
Demon: An evil creature from the realm of Hell. There are many different species of them.
Mortal Cup: A cup filled with The Angel Raziel's blood and Jonathan Shadowhunter's blood. Whoever drinks from it will become a Shadowhunter.
Runes: Marks that are put on a Shadowhunter. They are applied and help you to do things such as run faster, see better, heal ect.
Stele: A tool used to apply Runes.
Iratze: A healing rune.
Parabatai: Someone you dedicate your life to protecting. Romantic love between the two is forbidden. You have to choose your Parabatai by the age of 18.
Seraph Blade: A long, gleaming blade that is made especially for killing Demons. Each is named after an angel.

~No perfect characters; everyone has flaws.
~No Warlocks/Vampires/Werewolves/Fairies can enter the academy.
~3 sentence minimum when rping.
~No advertising your own RP.
~Keep your OCC needs where they belong, on the OCC thread.
~Will not accept half-assed Character Skeletons.
~Cursing is permitted.
~Romance is encouraged.
~Be awesome.
