  t’s 2234 and Victory Park, Maryland is a bustling hub of people. Midnight Reads is an antique bookstore halfway between the suburbs of Liberty Point and Downtown Victory Park. Sitting above Midnight Reads is the Nemphone Apartments. Here, many young residents of Victory Park rent out space and living. Behind the Nemphone Apartments, tucked in the abandoned Beam Industries Paper factory, sits the Shade Street Community Garden. In an era of overprocessed food only available at food stands and neon lights, the Shade Street Community Garden is one of the only of its kind. Treasured by Shade Street Residents, the garden is a well kept secret and fosters tight bonds between them. The garden, despite being mostly used for plants of varying kinds, is also the focal point of the street, where all types of people come to find community and to escape the hardships of the lives they live.

  Shade Street Community Garden is a slice of life, cyberpunk roleplay set far into the future. Our characters will live on Shade Street, most of them in the Nemphone Apartments above Midnight Reads. Others may live in lofts above other stores but all will live on Shade Street. It is not required to be interested in gardening to join nor is it a requirement of your character’s. The community garden is a hub of activity, not just for gardening. Many characters will be in and out but the focal point of our roleplay is relationships and events rather than just the garden. Hi! There's not lore at the moment, though the state of the world is more pre dystopian but definitely cyberpunk! The world is heading in that direction, but hasn't quite hit red yet. If any of that makes sense!

Hi! Thankyou! So to answer your questions, the overarching plot is basically governmental greed. The community garden is an unsanctioned space (because it doesn't make a profit for any branch of the government, local or otherwise), nobody is paying rent for the space so that's why it's so hush hush, invite only. It's going to be 2200s tech, but our characters are likely not going to have very brand new tech, more likely they'll have older, more weathered models of tech. And I will be hosting on discord for ooc.

I'm hoping for at least one post a week, but I understand if life gets in the way!
