Backstory
As his Russian accent suggests Sergej was born in Noril'sk, Siberia, son to a mechanist and a nurse. For the first four years life was easy on Sergej: he was a normal child, passed his days by playing in the snow and adventuring with the other children, until misfortune came in the form of his mother's second pregnancy. She had been told years before that it would be better for her to not have children, but she had wanted them with all heart and when Sergej had came out as normal she thought that maybe she had been blessed, she was wrong. While Sergej was completely healthy the second incoming baby appeared to be malformed and it killed his mother upon birth. Artyom, his father, was devastated by his mother's death and at first blamed it on the newborn. Only Masha, Sergej's grandmother, took pity on the baby and started looking after him. At first Sergej felt the same as his father toward the baby, after all his mother would still be alive if not for him, but Masha made him see reason: Kolyma, the baby boy's name, hadn't asked to be born and so he wasn't to blame but actually to be protected, since he wouldn't be able to walk without the aid of clutches. So from age five on Sergej always helped his brother, and as they both grew defended him from those making fun of him. To help his father he started working at his mechanical workshop, while in his free time he started frequenting boxing lessons. His initial reason was that of being able to fight and defend properly, but then he started loving it. His teacher actually thought of him as the best, and when Sergej was only sixteen he participated and won Russia's national tournament.
Sergej was phenomenal, and the possibility of a scholarship came.
Kolyma didn't get bothered anymore, and finally the family could pay without too many sacrifices for his much needed medicines.
Sergej bought his father a bigger house with the earned money, traveled the world because of his profession and participated in the Olympics, earning himself a gold metal.
Life was great for him, he didn't think there was anyone luckier than he was.
So when Sergej had turned eighteen and decided to join college in USA, he also had Kolyma follow with him.
What happened though was that Kolyma's conditions worsened because of a food poisoning and he entered a coma which he would never wake up from.
Sergej though was unable to end his brother's life, and so while he frequents college he often visits his brother.

He often wears a blue baseball cap with a "D" designed on the front, it was a gift he'd given to Kolyma two years prior.
