Personal/History

Personality:
Quiet at first and keeps people at a safe distance (physical and emotional) but once he gets close to someone he is overprotective of them and his somewhat cold behavior softens a little, he is sarcastic when annoyed, can be painfully direct, rarely tells or shows what he really feels but he is actually quite emotional on the inside. If he is wronged, provoked or someone he likes is mistreated he can be vengeful and meaner then usual. There are times he reacts without thinking and can be reckless. He even has moments where he would just suddenly help someone without any reason while most of the time he wouldn't. Those closest to him get to see a side he rarely if ever shows, the side that smiles a lot, is semi talkative, kind and a good listener. He dislikes humans because they seem to annoy him with love letters, confessions and other things like that without really knowing him.

Background:
He was born in Canada to a Korean mother and a Canadian Father. They were well off and so as a child he mostly got whatever he had asked for and was also homeschooled in order to keep his secret safe from humans. He had trouble getting his vampiric nature under control and often got into trouble because of it. As he entered his early teenage year things got even harder for him as his thirst seemed to have grown. He started sneaking out at night and even got a girlfriend. One night when he snuck out to go to a date his hunger got out of control as his girlfriend cut herself by accident and things didn't end well. It got so close to him being discovered that the family had to move. They moved to Busan in South Korea and Shey started to distance himself from others as his conscience gnawed at him for what had happened in Canada. He took up a lot of hobbies to distract himself and used sarcasm and directness to keep people at a safe distance but despite that, he still seemed to have made a few friends and even had a crush on a boy but he never acted on it because of what happened in Canada. Despite the troubles in his life he always loved being a vampire and would never change that even if he could.

Background: Being born into a family of vampires wasn’t such an unusual thing. After all this family mainly consisted vampires, here and there some humans married in but most of the time didn’t have any children out of fear for dying in the process. Halflings were rare and never lived for a longer period of time. Most of them dying at the age of 12 due to their bodies not being able to contain their powers. It was always a tragedy and the biggest reason as to why they were a rare existence in this world. Hyebin had a childhood friend who was a Halfling and lost the other at the age of 10 which came as a huge shock as she didn’t see it coming. The day before they were just having fun as always and then… nothing. She didn’t come out of her room for two weeks before being forced to get out by her parents. Telling her as to why it was like that to the best of their abilities. She understood in some way and slowly got over the happening. The person still having a place in her heart until this day.

Hyebin was mainly home-schooled, letting tutors come to her house who got paid more than enough. Absorbing the learning material after hours and hours of studying. She didn’t like it but she had to do it in order to satisfy her family and not cause too many problems. It was annoying for sure to have that many expectations, especially as she was the oldest child of three. She was expected to take over the business her father was in which was “Beanz”, specializing in coffee. She did drink coffee as it was one of the few foods that she managed to keep in her system besides blood. However she still didn’t know what she wanted to in her life nor who she wanted to become.

Eventually, she got invited to Seoul Uni for her knowledge about Medicine. She had been interested in this subject before and shown a lot of enthusiasm when first aid was taught to her. She had been researching some stuff about it as she had been helping out in a clinic before while working at the front (appointing patients to the right doctor, making sure nobody was wandering around and helping when a patient needed it on time). Because of this, doctors let her join them to show them what they did, telling her as to how they came to the result and so on. The only problem was when somebody was bleeding. The scent and sight of blood, making it difficult to remain completely composed. She hoped by going to Seoul Uni, she would learn to control herself more so she could actual become a doctor and didn’t start studying medicine for nothing.

However when the clinic shut down, she had to find another “job” to keep herself busy from time to time and that’s when she found the construction workers who seemed to be having a hard time. Offering her help by demonstrating her strength (which almost seemed inhuman).

Background:

Nikita was born on a very cold day in Russia. His Russian father and Korean mother had mixed feelings upon having him enter their lives. He was not the first child and his family could not barely afford to keep him around. The only reason he was even born was due to an error in scheduling, causing his parents to reconsider. They were incredibly strict to him, wanting him to study alone all day and not have any fun at all. They deemed it to be a waste of time and would punish him severely if he could not learn what they wanted him to. He was forced to learn English, German and Korean from a very young age, giving him the ability to speak three languages from his childhood. This was not enough for them however. Deeming the school system to be weak and idiotic, his parents homeschooled him, further isolating him from the rest of the world. With his father being a failed scientist and his mother being an overqualified but underpaid teacher, they did not think it would be too difficult to educate him.

The lack of interaction with other people, lead to him seeing things in a different light. He was constantly told that he was smarter, therefore better than everyone else, giving him an incredible toxic psychology that still lingers to this day. They wanted nothing but perfection from him...and he delivered. Nikita was much more proficient than his peers, doing far better in exams and tests than them. Even after being allowed to skip multiple grades, he still performed better than everyone else in his class, having only one or two people that could possibly do better than him. He excelled at all of the sciences, mathematics and history.

In his later years, Nikita picked up coding and learnt many programming languages. He started programming in his free time, realising that he could do this for money. He started to create applications, a few being very successful. However, all of the money went to his dad due to him not being old enough. Who knows what he spent it on? A question that was answered in a shocking manner.

When he was 13 years old, Nikita's father had died as he was run over by a vehicle. He was drunk, leading to him wandering out into the street. Oddly enough, Nikita did not cry too much as he died. In fact, he was somewhat relieved. His childhood had taught him to hate his parents, leading to him waiting for the day when he would be able to go on his own.

There was nothing left for them in Russia anymore. After selling their small apartment, him and his mother moved back to South Korea, to live with his grandparents. All this however, did not stop Nikita from studying. In fact, it made him try even harder. With his mother being busy all the time, his grandparents being much softer with him and him having a lot more freedom, Nikita continued to spend his time studying and bettering himself, improving upon all of his previous skills. He even got to go outside, and talk to the other people.

His heightened intelligence and understanding, lead to him thinking of the others differently however. Years of his ego being stroked lead to him thinking of himself as being vastly superior. At this stage of his life, Nikita manipulated and deceived everyone around him, controlling them like pawns in a chess game. He circumvented the effects of bullies, removed all rivals and was extremely cruel, all without anybody knowing due to him being good at lying. Years of pent up anger had given him a thirst for destruction. He wouldn't act like this for too long though. After having his way with people and toying with them, a giant wave of guilt hit him. Nikita knew that having people around and not exploiting them would help him, leading to him trying to be somewhat nice.

Nikita eventually set his sights on the Seoul uni. He deemed it to be the most appropriate for himself as it would allow him to continue climbing the academic ladder. A problem arose however. He was still not 18 years old, meaning that he couldn't live alone. This angered him, but it did not deter him. Nikita was determined to get into the Physics course of the university. And in order to not waste a year sitting around and doing nothing, Nikita started to cover portions of the material already. On his 18th birthday, Nikita moved into Seoul and then got accepted into the university. His vast knowledge of the first year course, meant that he could start off with the second year in the university. However, his learning of the first year course was not too great, as he pretty much studied it off of books and online materials without the usage of a professor. With him having faulty knowledge of the first year, getting the diploma would be a challenge for him. He was not one to back down from challenges however.

Sora is tall and has a toned, athletic body. She has thick, black, slightly wavy hair that ends at her chest. Her natural eye colour is light brown, but she wears greyish blue contacts daily. Due to her active lifestyle she usually dresses in workout clothes; a typical outfit is black or grey leggings, a white top and a zip up hoodie tied around her waist, paired with sneakers. [1] [2]. However when she needs to look a bit more put together she'll opt for black skinny jeans or slacks and a white top, or on rare occasions, a tight, short skirt. [1] [2].

Personality:
Sora has a very strong personality. She is stubborn and a go-getter; once she's set her mind to something she won't stop until she succeeds. She is honest and outspoken, but only when it benefits her. Sora can sometimes come off as a bit stand-offish, focusing on herself and avoids meddling in others' business. However, she is a kind and friendly person when you get to know her, and she is very loyal to the few friends she has. Her biggest hobby is working out, and all her free time she spends in the gym. Running; weight lifting; volleyball; tennis; the activity doesn't matter as long as she gets to move her body and use her muscles. She is hard working and thus barely managed to secure a spot at the prestigious university, even though she isn't exceptionally bright or academically gifted. Growing up poor she feels indebted to her parents who gave up a lot and worked hard to be able to give her an opportunity to do well in life, and therefore she does her best in school even though her heart isn't in it.

Sora was born and raised in Seoul and only speaks Korean. She can read some English and Japanese but they are both very limited.
