~Senza~

581413

Senza. A planet full of life and mystery. Dominated by two races that don't get along, this
big blue planet has remained untouched in the galaxy for thousands of centuries.
Spotted with various strains of small islands, Senza has virtually
no pollution or dangerous threats to the natural environment. And, despite the many gorilla wars,
both factions intend on keeping it that way.

The two races each dominate their own sets of islands.
Though alike in their tender care for their planet, each race's society
values drastically different governing principles and laws.
It is because of these differences, in addition to their physical differences,
contribute to their historical hatred of the other race.

Tsunari

581426

The Tsunari people are a highly religious people. Their governing laws were created
through their devotion to the divine beings they worship: The Ukamph.
Each day begins with a public service held in a garden, at the center of each island,
where the Tsunari express their praise and gratitude for the life
they have been given. Through this faith, the Tsunari believe that it is their divine right
to come before all other beings. From here arise their xenophobic tendencies.

To renounce faith in The Ukamph is considered tyranny.
Non-believers are punished with death. This death is considered the only
salvation for those that do not worship these divine beings.
Salvation is achieved through a sacred ceremony
of burying the non-believer back into the planet they came from.

Alive.

Each Tsunari is born with a set of white feathered wings and fair skin.
Common attire includes traditional and ceremonial robes.
All clothing is flowing and elegant. Most Tsunari
accompany their attire with ceremonial headpieces,
often decorated with jewels.

Lelliave

581443

Welcome to the land of the free, and the home of the honest.
Though the Lelliave culture has no one true "leader", this race is run by
a council of elders. Being extended an invitation
to join the council is considered the highest honor in this society,
and an invitation is rarely extended. This society functions through little law
and order, and more on the basis of honesty and compassion.
Following no true monetary system, and no true legal system,
this society could be argued as an anarchy. The elder council rarely
steps in to pass judgement on issues.

Despite there being no political and judicial systems
in place, this culture rarely sees crime. Children are raised with
a strong emphasis of cultural tradition and a "love thy neighbor" attitude.
With freedom to do anything, and no currency, these people
live simple and exciting lives. Festivals are commonly
held to celebrate things like the birth of a new child, or the coming of Spring.

Along with these "free attitudes" comes little inhibition with sex, alcohol,
and recreational herbs as well.
It is common place in this culture for there to be incest
among blood relatives, as this society views all members of the race
to be one family. Relationships are rarely defined as exclusive.

The Lelliave are beings with curled horns on their heads, often
in different sizes, colors, and patterns. Their clothes
are rugged and simple, allowing for easy movement. All Lelliave
have wings similar to those of bats: though they aren't
very beautiful, they function effectively.
Some Lelliave are born with a thin, rubbery tail
and some are not. It is unclear why this occurs.

Plot

Never before in Senza history has a natural disaster occurred like this.
Over half of the Lelliave population was killed during
a devastating Earth Quake that affected only Lelliave lands.
With ruined homes and half-sunken islands,
the elder council of Lelliave and religious leaders of Tsunari
come to the agreement that the cultures must coexist temporarily
until the Lelliave homes are rebuilt. Despite the xenophobia
from both sides, members from both cultures must learn to live peacefully
among each other.

Many things remain a mystery.
Where did this large Earthquake suddenly come from?
Why did the council and the religious leaders come to this agreement?
How will these two cultures survive without
starting an all-out war?

Tensions are running high as the Lelliave start
to move into the homes of the Tsunari...

...can you keep the peace?

Greetings! Thank you for checking out my interest check for this new roleplay.
Above are very brief descriptions of what I am aiming for in this roleplay. This roleplay is intended to be short
(should only last one or two weeks to get through) with roughly 2-4 players from each race.
Though there is definitely an overarching plot-line that I have in mind,
keeping the peace between the two cultures is entirely up to the players.

It does not affect the plot line if war breaks out between the two races (war, of course, is a possibility).

I will be creating a character to play as in the roleplay, but I will also be taking on the roles of the religious leaders and elder council members.
These groups are considered non-playable characters (NPCs) for the players.
Each roleplayer may only create and control one character from either race.

The roleplay will begin with Lellaive boats landing on Tsunari islands for the first time.
I will step in as the NPCs from time to time to keep the overarching plot moving,
and to update players on the relations between the two societies.

If relations become very poor between the two races, they will go to war.

If relations become overwhelmingly positive, they will sign a peace pact.
If relations remain neutral (I consider them to start between poor and neutral), the politics will remain unchanged.

If players ever would like an update on the relations between the two races, you may ask me directly (out of character)
or you can have your character visit either governing body to ask in the roleplay.

Please let me know below if you are interested! If there are enough people, I will
go ahead and put together a more detailed version of this page and post it in the Fantasy Roleplays section.
This will be a detailed roleplay (correct grammar and spelling, at least one full paragraph per roleplay post).

Updates on the roleplay status will be posted here.

(You may not reserve a race to roleplay in this interest check. Races will be first-come first-serve in the actual roleplay character section.)
