Seeking RP Type Family Tree software

Ever try to map out the family tree of a mythology or vampires? Classical software just doesn't lend itself well to such a project. This is especially true with vampires who don't generate children in the traditional sense.


I am looking for a downloadable charting software to create such trees. Best would be one that can export the tree into a document and be a searchable thing.

I generally use Excel. It can be unwieldy if one isn't skilled with it, but I find it suits my purpose.
