Chrysalis
Waiting to bloom.
I'm Chrysalis, but you can call me Chrys!
On break from college, so I'll be active and able to reply frequently to roleplays.
I've been roleplaying for 7 years now. I started off young and horrible though I grew up from my one-liner days. I consider myself to be literate and I love writing long, descriptive replies.
I enjoy talking to my partners, so OOC chat and communication is welcomed. It doesn't even have to be RP-related, although it certainly can be. I love to brainstorm.
For roleplaying, I prefer threads and PM. I don't want to take the roleplay offsite.
I can play both males and females, both submissive and dominant positions/personalities. I can double, and I love playing side characters when needed. MxF, MxM, FxF... It's all fine! I have no preferences.
I love darker plots and am open to dark themes, such as horror and gore. Some profanity here and there is fine by me if that's how your character is. However, neither are required.
I am open to many different types of genre. I love plots with magic or psychological themes (mental illness, low self-esteem, etc.), as well as others such as adventure, action, historic, and many others! Slice of life roleplays might also be fun.
I don't enjoy instant romance. If there is to be romance, it must develop slowly and naturally. I'm honestly fine with there being no romance at all, but if you'd like there to be then we can discuss it.
- I want partners who will put thought into the setting, story, and their character. I do not want to carry the roleplay along by myself, so feel free to discuss ideas and plot twists with me!
- Literate partners. No one-liners, but I will not condemn you to a certain number of paragraphs. Quality is much greater than quantity, but there needs to be at least enough substance for me to reply.
- Proper capitalization, grammar, and punctuation. If you make mistakes it's fine, I just want to be able to read it.
- No godmodding (being invincible), no metagaming (characters knowing things that only we do). Please do not control my character.
- If you are not interested in the roleplay anymore, please tell me. I will not be offended. If you wish to do a new roleplay I will gladly discuss ideas with you. I don't bite, I'm not mean about it. If you're having writer's block, just inform me so I'm not sitting and waiting.

"A Connection...?"
Vampire/Necromancer
The necromancer is just a person who wants to bring their dead family member back to life, while the vampire is just trying to escape the humans who are hunting them. The vampire comes to the wrong place at the wrong time, hiding close by to the necromancer. When the necromancer's spell goes wrong, their mind connects with the vampire's. This is a situation that the necromancer isn't exactly capable of handing, so the two must attempt to find a witch or figure out how to quit being connected together.
However, there's another problem. War threatens the vampires and humans, and so the necromancer isn't too thrilled about being paired with the vampire like this.
(Being "connected" could lead to several things: being able to sense each other's emotions, sharing injuries, pain from being apart too far, and other things.)
"Damaged By Moonlight"
Shifter/Witch (or Wizard)
A shapeshifter, human by day yet something else (any real animal) by night, goes on a journey to find the one who cursed them. Along the way, the shifter meets a strange witch/wizard who offers to help. The witch/wizard confirms that only the one who cursed them can reverse what has occurred.
(Optional plot twist: The witch/wizard is actually the one who cursed the shifter and tags along to see how they struggle with the curse.)
"Dead With A Touch"
Mental Patient(?)/Psychiatrist
One character finds themselves thrown into a mental asylum after having killed a loved one with only a touch of their hand. They swear that this is what has occurred, and as a result the asylum is where they end up. The other character is a psychiatrist, seemingly helpful and sincere on the outside but rotten to the core on the inside. The psychiatrist is at fault for what the patient has done. The psychiatrist had been a part of the patient's childhood, as an older friend with dreams of helping people. However, the psychiatrist found that he enjoyed manipulating people much more than he enjoyed helping them and so decided to play mindgames with the patient. With his ways, he managed to convince (through hypnosis or magical means) the patient to murder and to think that only their touch had caused such a thing to occur.
The roleplay could continue with more mindgames, as well as the psychiatrist convincing the patient to murder others and spiral down into actual insanity.
(Note: the psychiatrist should be at least 5 years older than the patient, and the patient should be 18+. The roleplay would be fairly dark.)
"Best Friends!"
Kidnapper/Victim
It's the victim's wedding day, and unbeknownst to them, their kidnapper is sitting right across from them. It is their best friend, and the kidnapper has big plans for them. Instead of taking them to their wedding, the best friend kidnaps their victim and takes them to a place they don't recognize at all. However, the kidnapper's intentions are mysterious for the most part, as they don't reveal why they have kidnapped the victim. Their only explanation is that the victim should not marry their significant other.
On top of it all, the kidnapper seems to have some sort of dark secret...
"The Darkened Tale of Two Soulmates"
Serial Killer/Soulmate(?)
A soulmate AU with a dark twist. When people turn 18, they stop aging until they meet their soulmate so that they can grow old together. There's a person who wants to remain eternal forever. They go around killing any possible soulmates they come across so that they may never age, emerging as a serial killer as a result. They come across their reincarnation of a soulmate, but the soulmate finds out their dark, twisted past and is prepared to face off against them. The soulmate could be a cop or someone who is capable of handling a weapon and defending themselves.
The soulmate can't believe that THEIR soulmate is a cold-blooded killer. How can they even begin to go about this truth?
