Bardic Inspiration

Alrighty, so hello! I'm Kwillz and if there's one thing you should know about me is that I LOOOVE BARDS. Bards are my jam (pun so intended) and my favorite tabletop RPG class. The ability to slay people through the power of silly songs just really speaks to me on a spiritual level. Now, as the title suggests I'm looking for a lovely partner (maybe two) who wants to do some kind of fantasy DnD-inspired adventure story (with magic and fantasy races and etc.) with me playing a bard character I have that I've been itching to rp with again. But before we get into that, let's just go over some guidelines, shall we?
What you can expect from ME:
- I'm a fairly casual rper but I appreciate some detail. My posts are about a couple paragraphs on average. I don't really like one-liners, and it seems like most people don't. So let's just promise not to do them.
- I go by EST, but I'm an early riser and am up fairly late (basically I don't sleep much) so I reply whenever during the day.
- I'm still in high school and not 18+. But I'm fine with partners being older than me as long as you're cool with me.
- I reply pretty regularly, usually at least once a day. If it seems like I've forgotten, bump me.
- I can rp darker themes/topics (death, violence, cursing, drugs and alcohol, trauma, etc.) but I will NOT write out anything NSFW (since that's also against RpN rules). If anything does have to happen, we will black out and skip over it.
- Romance for me is usually a SUBPLOT if anything. I'd prefer that if there is romance, it is FxF bc my character is y'know... *cough cough* very gay.
- I prefer roleplaying in PMs. I can also do threads if you have a strong preference for those. But I will not rp offsite. (So no Discord, Skype, Kik, etc.)
- OOC chat is just fine with me, I'd love to be pals! We can swap discords and/or battletags, and talk about anything we have in common. ^^
- I ask that you try to commit to this long-term. Should you have to leave for your own reasons, that's fine. Just let me know. If we reach any creative bumps, let's discuss it before we disappear on each other.
- You can play a male or a female. Romance is completely optional. But remember again: if there's romance I prefer FxF here. But I'm fine with a cool MxF platonic relationship.
- You don't have to make a proper CS. Personally, whether we do or don't is all up to you. I can be as detailed or basic as you'd like, so long as we know who we're playing and the jist of what they look like.
- Be relatively active please, that's the only way you can keep my attention. I'm relatively active and would like someone else who is active. Telling each me of coming long absences you know about in advance should be a given as I'll make sure to give the same courtesy.
- I’d like someone with decent grammar and language understanding. But occasional errors here and there are things I'm not strict about. You don't need to use the biggest words or have the most eloquent style of writing. Just something I can understand.
- **Please be creative and add to the story!** Don't just leave me to drag everything along by myself. Help build the world/story and let it come to life! Add something with each reply instead of simply responding with "Okay" or "I agree" and leave me to continue for the both of us. If you keep doing that we're going to have a problem.
Now that we've gone over that, let me introduce my character!
To give you a quick rundown, my character's name is Peri Barcarolle. She's snarky but lovable asshole human bard who basically uses her songs to make fun of anyone she meets. If she has something on her mind she'll say it, but she will never lie to you. She's just VERY straightforward and honest. Though with no control over her tongue, she can be a bit TOO honest sometimes... She can play instruments like the flute and mandolin but her instrument of choice is her violin. Her bow also doubles as a rapier (cool, huh). Oh, also she has a little sentient robot-puppet companion guy named Lionel. He doesn't speak but he's a real showman. And as I mentioned before Peri is reeeally quite gay. oops, no regrets.

Onto ideas! I had a few ideas but these can be changed around or we can discuss a completely new idea if you have one!
- YC is a brand new adventurer going out the world looking for action. Fresh-faced and slightly naive, they're out looking for fame, glory, and gold. One day they meet MC in a local tavern and an idea ignites in their head. What better way to get famous than to have a bard follow them around and sing their praises? Nothing can possibly go wrong, right? Right...?
- YC is a veteran adventurer, fallen from grace. They've been disgraced by the public for something that may or may not has been their fault. Now, they are finished with wallowing around and are ready to regain their honor and make their wrongs right. They meet MC, who recognizes YC and sticks around to see where things go for them...
- YC has some kind of chosen one destiny that no one else knows about. The journey will be extremely dangerous, but the fate of the world rests on their shoulders. They try to gather a group of heroes to help them. The thing is, they can't manage to find anyone to join them on their quest; nobody believes them. The only person they manage to convince to come along is the bard at the local tavern (MC)...
- YC is a bard themselves. One day they are challenged to a duel in their local tavern by MC, and things go on from there...
