Side Mission: (Side missions always occur spontaneously during assigned mission)
A bank is being robbed nearby by the Communication's Center, liberate the hostages, and capture the bank robbers.

Second Mission

4WDWlX3.jpg

The Captain found a lead that led to a company specializing in weapons. Head over to planet 10, Terran, and speak with the suspected company involved with Phi're's tragedy.

Third Mission

It has been confirmed, the location of the inconspicuous organization, but going around Chordate would be easier with the help of a Royal. Get into contact with Sueckra Vinyle, and convince her to escort you around Chordate. This is a low profile mission. We need the exact location of this organization to plan a strategy to close it down.

Side Mission:
Phyonna Po-poron has reported her father missing. Her father is an important figure in Balgar, Phi-re. He's known as Sheriff Po-poron. He has been missing for a few weeks now, and Phyonna, his daughter, has reported an increase in violence since his disappearance. Demonic Elves have been acting unusual in addition to the unusually high rate of violence occurring.

The tall, white-metallic plated Android leaned against the center console within the Command Center. His electric blue eyes were fixated on the stars before him. Many thoughts accumulated in his mind as he organized the data he collected from the Sector 6-10 Database. His crew had many missions ahead of them, but they couldn't spread themselves thin. On the other hand, he wanted to fix it all. All the problems his sector threw at him. Thanks to his excellent computational skills, he knew it was impossible to accomplish every mission in a timely basis. He let out a digital sounding sigh. The emotion program he installed a few years back detected frustration through his many thoughts. If he had a human mind, frustration was imminent, so the program triggered a sigh to accompany his 'frustration.' He smirked. Feeling a different array of emotions was refreshing for Andro. He only managed to acquire this programming six years ago.

Ever since his upgrade, he decided to gather a new crew. With his old crew disbanded, for multiple reasons. One, most of his crew was made up of Nauvons and humans, meaning they were aging and losing their maximum combative abilities. Their probability of error was rising along with their age. Two, his old crew was close-minded. They may have accepted him as their captain, respected him, but they refuse to believe he had emotions. He made many decisions they disagreed with, but he saved many lives. Unlike his crew, he believed the lives of many is worth over a single crew member. This was why he was created, to overlook emotional reasonings and compute their decisions logically. But he didn't want to be seen in the negative light of his crew members. His lack of emotions resulted in many secrecy among his crew which was the third and final reason for it's disbandment. They didn't trust him.

It is now three thousand and ten and his new crew has been trained to perfection. Five years together, and they work in harmony, mostly. He hired a few goofballs, but aside that they execute their job well, he liked their relentless humor. They're ready for anything... he said reassuringly to himself. He turned about and seated himself in his commanding chair. Pressing a few buttons alongside the arm of his chair, a database HUD appeared before him. He scrolled down, analyzing the data again until an transmission came through. It projected a young Elf.

SCKKCHHHHHHH.. Ca-ap-tain... SCHCCHKKKCHHHHH.. Sec-tor.. si-ix... SCCHHHKKKCCCHHKKCHCHHH..

"We're on our way,"

She didn't need to say more. Something is definitely up. He tapped along the arm of his chair rhythmically, "The disturbance was triggered in building 200 or 201." He knew immediately who he needed to send. He used his internal communications link to brief them into their next mission. "Meet me in the War Room," he said in his usual digitally monotone voice through Kobe, Ireythalli, Jaenko, and Katarina's ear pieces. His legs whirred as he walked a few steps into the War Room.

"Our communication's Center on Phi're has been hacked. There's something they don't want us to know, and we need to find out what, and who exactly is doing this. Once you teleport into Sector 6, I'll lock down buildings 200 through 201. Confiscate all tapping devices and find the infiltrator. Letting him or her escape is not an option."

As he had his arms crossed, he spoke alone in the room. He anticipated them arriving swiftly, fully briefed, and ready to be teleported. The engineers were to find all the wire tapping devices while the weapon's specialist and medic interrogated all personnel residing within building 200-201.

"I downloaded into your armlet database all the personnel residing in the confined area."

"Questions?"

This seemed like a simple mission, but Andro felt there was more that met the eye. The lights within the ship shifted to yellow. This meant that his whole entire squad should be on alert for anything at any given moment, he may need to send them down for back up. He wasn't entirely sure what to expect from this mission. But, in the meanwhile his stationary team could 'relax.'

Katarina jabbed her fork through a defenseless grape quite mercilessly, bringing it up to her mouth to devour, she spent a good second enjoying the space grown fruit before turning her attention back to the small, albeit lively, crowd that had gathered at the very head of the table, debating, lightheartedly, about the dangers of expired space bacon. If questioned, Katarina would proudly claim no responsibility as to how that conversation came to be. No matter what though, the noise and cheerful bantering of the crew certainly beat having to eat a meal, or a snack in her case, in absolute silence. She had enough of that particular experience, and having to relive that part of her memories always set her in a unpleasant mood.

Popping the last grape into her mouth, Katarina was ready to join in the bantering. As always, she was ready to provide the small group with a token of sarcastic medical advice, or at least attempt to actually persuade one of them to try and go through with a bit of practical experimentation. Just before anything could leave her lips though, her earpiece smoothly buzzed on, and not a second later, a familiar synthetic voice summoned her. The crew recognized the sudden shift from playful to solemn, and respectfully silenced themselves as Katarina left her bowl and fork on the table, swiftly carrying herself to the lifts as she kept an ear out for the oncoming briefing.

Even after working for five years with the crew and it's captain, Katarina suspected that she'd never truly be able to get rid of pre-mission jitters that stiffened both her posture and personality. As the lift reached the upper deck, she made a bee line for her weapon locker. That's when she paused, committing her full attention to the ongoing briefing, making quick notes to determine what gear would be most appropriate.

Indoors, search, retrieve, investigate. Alright, that was specific enough. She quickly reached in her locker and grabbed her usual light gear which consisted of her matrix cobra high speed body armor, her dual handguns, and several first aid kit pouches which she strapped onto herself methodically. Just as she was pulling on her finger less gloves, eyes flickering to her wrist, where her armlet showed a new notification, she shot off a question just as Captain Andro had prompted.

"Do we have a point of contact on the site? Also ... any possibility of further defining "hacked", are we being compromised or robbed by a third party, or are communications experiencing interference with anomalies?" She asked, speaking into the earpiece, now skimming through the data that was just sent, only taking the time to lift her head and nod curtly to whomever may walk into the locker room.

Eternity.

That's how far the universe spreads. It never ceases to expand, create new planets, create new life. The thought that we are but specks, small grains of existence within such an enormous plane of infinity boggles the mind, but grants a sense of awareness to all that we are not the center of the universe nor all that matters within it.
That was something Lil'Ayta's mother used to tell her when she was a child, gifting the curious young Chordation with the knowledge she thirsted for and a wonder for what life out in the sea of the void that was the universe.

These were the thoughts crossing the much older Chordation's mind in the present, her pale blue eyes scanning the stars that were visible from every window on the ship, surrounding each planet, solar system, and galaxy with glittering balls of heat and color. It was a marvelous sight, and not all took the moment to marvel at their beauty. A couple nebulae were prominent amongst the pre-existing stars, known as cradles of life for the concentrated formation of the heavenly bodies encompassing the Sector 6-10 Spacecraft. It was a truly marvelous sight, and Lil'Ayta appreciated the instances where she could take in all of the beauty through her iridescent eyes.

The time she spent gazing at the many suns of the universe was interrupted, however, by an abrupt transmission that appeared in front of the ship's captain, Captain Andro, as he sat in his commander's chair: "SCKKCHHHHHHH.. Ca-ap-tain... SCHCCHKKKCHHHHH.. Sec-tor.. si-ix... SCCHHHKKKCCCHHKKCHCHHH.." The message was startling as well as full of static, but she and the Captain both knew what to do, as was deemed necessary by their roles. As the Second-in-Command, Lil'Ayta was expected to be able to handle any situation thrown at her by Captain Andro or by their enemies, as well as the possibility that the Captain could be put out of commission.

Captain Andro quickly responded to the transmission, cut the link, and spoke to what appeared to be the air, giving commands to meet in the War Room. As he walked over to the room, he spoke to himself once more, even though Lil'Ayta was sure that was not the case. "Our communications Center on Phi're has been hacked. There's something they don't want us to know, and we need to find out what, and who exactly is doing this. Once you teleport into Sector 6, I'll lock down buildings 200 through 201. Confiscate all tapping devices and find the infiltrator. Letting him or her escape is not an option."

Lil'Ayta presumed that he chose a select few to go investigate the problem in Sector 6, as she had heard nothing through her own personal earpiece, and looked towards the War Room, anticipating the arrival of those chosen crew members. As she awaited their arrival, Lil'Ayta approached the Captain, her small articles of clothing jingling as she walked with the metallic decorations hanging from the different cloths. She wanted to speak with the male android and had a worried expression on her face, the spots on her face glowing softly as she twirled on of the many tentacles she had similar to how one would fiddle with their hair when nervous.

However, a moment after she had uttered those words, the Chordation female heard the approach of one of the crew members and pulled away from the Captain, clearing her face of all emotion. The arriving party was Katarina, one out of the ship's four engineers. As she entered and spoke to Captain Andro, asking him a few questions about what they were to be doing, Lil'Ayta observed the entry of Ireythalli shortly after, yet another engineer. Does this mean that Andro requested the aid of all engineers of the ship? Ayta thought to herself, her face scrunching up slightly as she pondered the need for all of the ship's engineers at once, awaiting the arrival of the other two and making up her mind to speak to the Captain.

"Captain, it appears to me that you have assigned all of the engineers to this mission. Won't that leave the ship vulnerable? They know the most about the ship, and with them gone, we would be open to any disaster that only they could solve. Isn't that unsafe?" The pale blue female questioned her leader, a frown donning her usually relaxed features. She did not want Sector 6 to be in any more danger than it already was, but what good would they be if they couldn't move outside of the planet? What if there was an ambush? These many questions flitted through the young woman's mind, her forehead wrinkled as her concern grew, causing her spots to glow even brighter.

JAENKO VALERE

Jaenko was taking a nap. At least he was untill his earpiece crackled on and the lights flashed yellow. Even then, he might have stayed in bed, if it weren't for a certain individual. Mingo, one of his fellow crew, was lightly shaking him. "Jaenk. Jaenk. Get up," the serine individual said, "I didn't get a ping. You proably did." Jaenko smiled, keeping his eyes closed. "Jaenko, get u-" Mingo's words were interrupted as the Nauvon sat up abruptly, smacking his forhead into his friends with a laugh. Mingo recoiled, so the impact was a slight one, but he was well to versed in his teammates antics and ritualistic head-bumps to recieve one that was too hard. "C'mon man, let me get a good one in before I leave," Jaenko said, jumping off his bunk and pulling on one of his unique shirts. His had holes in them for the bone growths on his back. Mingo shook his head, folding his arms. "Not all of us have a skull as thick as yours, my friend. Better luck next time." Jaenko threw an 'I'll get you' look at his favorite sparring partner, then hurried off to the war room.

Jaenko was excited for the mission to start, and the hard bottoms of his feet made scratching noises similar to that of a happy dog on tile floor as he sprinted to the war room. He remembered during training, when there was a medic named Phi'gorra, she always poked fun at him for it. She didn't make the cut though, she ended up on a different ship. Making a sharp turn after getting off the lift, Jaenko made his way into the war room, skidding to a stop and waving his hand in a mock two-fingered salute. "What's on the menue today cap? Certain death? Seek and destroy? Divine intervention?"

After recieving the briefing, Jaenko ckecked his armlet. He'd melded his to his left, mechanical arm for convinience. Sure enough, there was a map, statistics, objectives, everything he'd need to know up there. Lowering his arm, he stole glances at the other members of the crew. He hoped today would go as smoothly as routine matinence.

Atsutane's eyes, narrowed with focus, reflected the blue glow of the small soldering iron in his mechanical hand. He was carefully mending the crossed wires in the shield generator that had been causing the strange fluctuations that had been setting his teeth on edge thanks to his implant making him hypersensitive to the hum of the shield. He'd sent a notification about it to the captain and informed the android that he'd be working on it before he'd started about an hour ago. The wires were the last of the repairs required, thankfully, because as he cut off the power to the small, focused flame in his hand the captain's synthesized voice emanated from his earpiece.

He straightened, being careful not to his his head on the opening that he had been leaning into, and put a finger on his earpiece. "Gotcha, Cap. On my way!" He declared, his deep voice echoing slightly off the walls of the small generator room.

He stretched and tucked his tools back into the belt at his waist and strode from the room, the door hissing shut behind him. The lift wasn't very far, but he had to stop in the machine shop along the way to grab his handgun form his station. It hadn't been moved in a few days, evidenced by the candy bar wrappers he had to brush from on top of it, but at least it was where he'd left it last. He still hadn't found that wrench.

He stepped into the war room with a grin across his face, nodding to the captain and the others before pulling up the mission briefing on his mechanical arm. He scanned through it quickly and looked up at the captain. "Seems pretty straightforward. You wouldn't happen to have a copy of their tech inventory lying around, would ya, cap? Bit of forewarning on the systems I'll be looking at would help."

HEALTH:

The soft metallic chime following behind the white robotic male gave him a sense of warmth and security according to his emotion programming. He felt the peritoneal fluid circulating within his body flow smoother and his mind 'at ease'. The relationship Andro has built with his second in command was nothing like his previous experience as a commander. With this in mind, he believed it was his emotion software that has earned him a new kind of respect from his crew. He turned to her and found her 'freckles' glowing slightly. Chordations, such a vast aquatic race, have been studied in their culture, language, and mannerisms. Though, there gestures and thoughts may have much in common, but their bodies all varied immensely. Andro had to learn through time to understand Lil'Ayta's body and how it reacted to different situations. With her face revealing spots of reminiscent light, he knew she was concerned. He arched a brow as she spoke of her concerns:

"Captain, it appears to me that you have assigned all of the engineers to this mission. Won't that leave the ship vulnerable? They know the most about the ship, and with them gone, we would be open to any disaster that only they could solve. Isn't that unsafe?"

"Very good point, Ayta. In this mission, it is technology intensive," he said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"We have a total of fourty-three personnels working within the two buildings likely to be hacked. It will take each of our engineers approximately five minutes to confiscate all tapping devices. If we send one engineer, it will take him or her three and a half hours to check all computers. If we send all three engineers, they will resolve the issue in an hour and ten minutes. This will decrease the time of the inside-man escaping,"

"As for putting our ship in jeopardy, I always check the intergalactic weather forecast in the Celestial Bugle. They have about an eighty percent accurate forecast, and so far there are no major solar storms or storms of any kind. If anything comes close, may it be an unknown spacecraft or solar storm, I'll be sure to teleport one of our engineers back onto the ship before any temporary operational anomalies." he gave her a reassuring smile.

Andro looked away from Ayta temporarily as he internally analyzed the current locations of all his selected crew mates. He first spotted Katarina, a blonde human adorned in a short belted dress, covered by an unzipped sleeveless hoodie. She was in the cafeteria, but quickly retreated to the weapon's room. Very good... he thought approvingly. He then transitioned to Astutane, appears to be human at first, but he is truly a Nauvon with his glossy black wings neatly folded behind his back. He was the first to respond to his call through their tele-communicators. As expected, both Astutane and Jaenko came into the war room fairly quickly. Jaenko, of course, came in rabidly while Astutane came in a casual stroll. Through his headset, Katarina responded with a set of questions. Jaenko and Astutane followed suit.

"Do we have a point of contact on the site? Also ... any possibility of further defining "hacked", are we being compromised or robbed by a third party, or are communications experiencing interference with anomalies?"

"At the moment, our communications with Sector Six has been interfered with, so there is no point of contact. I am currently trying to get through to our communication's building," he then faced Jaenko as he spoke.

"What's on the menue today cap? Certain death? Seek and destroy? Divine intervention?"

"Seek and Arrest," he responded with a smile, "I hope we will not need certain death." He looked down at his current gear and wore a face of disappointment, a sly grin still at the corner of his lips.

"Seems pretty straightforward. You wouldn't happen to have a copy of their tech inventory lying around, would ya, cap? Bit of forewarning on the systems I'll be looking at would help,"

"Since there is now an interference with our communications, I can only provide you their inventory from three-thousand-eight. When you arrive on site, you may be able to acquire their current inventory of technology."

"Katarina and Ireythalli, waiting on you," he added to their conversation then continued about the mission, "Once she arrives, you will be instantly teleported to Phi're, Sector Six's Communications center. If my message got through, buildings 200 and 201 should be temporarily under lock-down."

He had his finger ready to teleport his crew.

"Sorry for the hold up," Katarina huffed out, hands patting herself down as she rounded the corner into the War Room where everyone had gathered. She gave a glance over those who had already assembled into the room, and gave a polite nod. It was a little odd to see all the engineers in one place, but remembering the mission, there was truly no better way to set up the core members of the investigation squad for this particular assignment. Hopefully, with their expertise that would mean that the easy part of the assignment would be over with much faster - and consequently, the interrogations that much faster. At least they weren't scoping out personnel from cooperate companies.

"Just making sure I was hot, locked and ready to rock," she managed, though stiffly, jabbing her thumb against the body armor she had locked herself in prior to entering the War Room. "All set, Captain," she informed him curtly, taking a spot beside those who had already gathered.

That day, Ireythalli was awoken by small digitized chirps sounding from above her head, coming from the small mechanical bird built by Ire during the five-year voyage she had been on with her current crew. It often accompanied the demonic elf when she ventured through the ship, fixing random bits of it at many different locations on many different occasions. Today was just like any other, her bird causing her to awaken after she got approximately seven hours of sleep. She blinked her eyes open slowly and yawned with a stretch, her fiery red hair falling over the side of the cot she slept on in the Crew Barracks as she did so.

"Thanks Daedalus." The tired female mumbled into her pillow before sitting up, careful not to smack the back of her head on the bunk above hers. She was wearing a messy tank top and a pair of skin-tight shorts, which was her usual wear when she wanted to rest. Her recently cleaned clothes were folded neatly below her bunk, all of them fireproof so that she would not cause any fires on the ship that could endanger anyone else. With a grunt, she reached down and grabbed a pair of worn and black cargo pants, slipping them up over her skin-tight shorts, and buckling them over the hem of her tank top, leaving the once-white top tucked in to show off her muscular body.

Once dressed, Ire threw her hair into a messy bun of soft flames, keeping the bright strands from her face so she could put on her welding tools and work on a couple other projects in the nearest Machine Shop, where she had all of her tools astray and her unfinished works lingering beside them. One of the wrenches present, however, did not belong to her, which she was already aware of. She had needed it to complete one of her experiments - the one that included enhancing the ship's hyperdrive - but now that she had finished with the part that required a multi-modular lunar wrench, she grabbed it and slipped it into one of her many pocket to bring to Atsutane later on.

After a couple hours of holing herself up in the machine shop to tinker alongside Daedalus, a small crackle sound came from the earpiece stuck inside Ire's long, grey, pointed ear before the Captain's voice sounded from it, authority emanating from his tone. "Meet me in the War Room. Our communications' Center on Phi're has been hacked. There's something they don't want us to know, and we need to find out what, and who exactly is doing this. Once you teleport into Sector 6, I'll lock down buildings 200 through 201. Confiscate all tapping devices and find the infiltrator. Letting him or her escape is not an option."

Ire put a hand to her ear as she listened intently, nodding as the Captain finished. "Be there asap, Cap." With a small sigh, the female put down one of her incomplete toys and let Daedalus get comfortable in the mess that was her hair before she took off from the machine shop, heading towards the lift to the upper deck of the ship. A couple of strands of red-orange hair had fallen from her sloppy bun and now resided along the sides of her head, framing her angular face. Her bright, similarly colored eyes glanced around as she waited the lift's arrival to the upper deck, the young female wondering what they were going to find on the planet other than tapping devices. When the lift arrived, one of the brightest engineers (quite literally) stepped into the hallway and turned left immediately to enter the Command Station, the only room with access to the War Room.

Prior to entering the room, Ire fiddled with the bird on her head, trying to remove him from the tangles of her flaming hair even as he continued to resist, causing them to take longer than the others had taken. He kept stabbing her hands with his very pointed beak, as well as her armlet database until she just gave up, rubbing the throbbing parts of her hands before entering the War Room. The Chordation was there, causing an almost involuntary sneer to reach Ire's lips, but nothing more. Jaenko, however, was present and he, plus Atsutane, were her closest friends. Katarina arrived not a moment later, apologizing to the Captain and explaining why she had taken so long. She was also a friend of Ire's, but...the demonic elf felt differently about her, causing her to make the snarky and flirty comment that followed.

"I'm pretty sure you've got the "hot" part of that list covered, sweetie." Ire said with a wink before chuckling softly, her lopsided grin greeting Katarina and the rest of the crew. "Sounds like we're gonna be havin' plenty of fun, Cap. Anythin' else we need to know? I heard everythin' you said already, was just dealin' with Daedalus, the bugger. He refused to leave the mess that is my hair." She said with a more sheepish grin as the bird chirped at the mention of his name. "Oh! Before I forget, here's your wrench, Atsutane. It was lyin' 'round, and I needed it for the moment. Thanks." Ire's smile stayed bright and wide, the cheerful demonic elf ready for departure when it was necessary.

Atsutane gave the captain a curt nod. Old tech schematics would be annoying, but places like this were notorious for not keeping their tech updated, so hopefully this place fit the standard or he'd take up much needed time having to scan each computer or holoprojector in the buildings in order to get the information about the possible infiltrator.

He wondered what the infiltrator's motive was. Sure, this was a major communication system for the sector, and you could get a ton of useful intel, but why were they so sloppy? Atsutane could think of at least three types of taps that would've been way harder to detect, not to mention tracing back their source would be next to impossible using standard decryption methods. Of course, he'd have to get his hands on the little beauties before the latter assumption proved true. Just because they were easy to find didn't mean they were easy to crack.

He'd leave the interviewing to the medic. Katarina would likely be able to get more useful intel out of them than he could. The androids would be easier for him, but there was something ethically questionable to him about hacking an android to get information out of them. Sure, he could do it, given enough time, most programmers could, but androids were still sentient beings with their own rights. He wouldn't hack a chordation's brain for info, so why would he with an android just because he could?

He was broken from his reverie by the arrival of Ire, one of his best friends on the ship. They'd hit it off pretty much from the start when they both signed on five years ago. They worked well together, their individual talents synchronizing with each other in most aspects, if not al--wait, is that his wrench?? He gave the elf a 'what the hell??' look as she handed him the wrench. He'd been looking for it for almost a week!

"Remind me to start leaving holo-notes on my stuff when we get back," he muttered into his armlet, staring directly at the fiery female. "Something like: 'Not for Ire' should do." He wasn't actually upset, of course, but he liked to tease the elf. It wasn't the first time she or Jaenko had borrowed one of the tools he'd left lying around the ship. At least she gave them back. Maybe next time he'd rig up a small water sprayer disguised as a screwdriver or something.

As the captain had his artificially warm finger hovering over his arm which had an installed gauntlet PC. His ship detected incoming turbulence. He lifted his finger to avoid any accidental teleportation. Minutes later, pieces of an asteroid clattered about the ship. This was not much of a concern for Captain Andro, for it would cause minimal damage. He would send one of his engineers back over to their ship once they have collected all the tapping devices. Perhaps, he would send one of his current crew members that aren't being sent on the current mission out to inspect the ship's exterior.

"Can someone check on that?" He asked vaguely, but it was obvious that he wasn't speaking to Irethalli or Katarina who just came in. Whoever wasn't in the War Room, may it be Martha or Mingo, would hopefully respond swiftly to his inquiry. He'd prefer Ay'ta not to investigate, but if no one volunteers, he would send Ay'ta to check on them while he dealt with the current mission at hand. Clearing his throat, an unnecessary, but a common human gesture implying that he was to return to the topic regarding the mission.

"This mission is urgent and we need to confiscate all tapping devices and find the culprit who installed them," he said sternly.

"I believe there is a traitor within our team for the communications system. Be alert," he touched the top of his arm and pressed a few buttons that lit up in a light blue color on his white vibranium skin.

"Good luck team,"

His arm emitted a blue light scanning his team's body down to the subatomic level, allowing them to get to point A and then sending all the scanned data to point B, where the systems' communication computer builds them back up from nothing in a fraction of a second. Ireythalli, Katarina, Atsutane, and Jaenko all reappeared within building 200 in their Sector 6-10 uniforms. The uniforms are completely black except for the white lettering on their chest labeling them as the Sector 6-10. Ireythalli having her own specialized suit had her teleportation slightly more delayed than the other crew members, but only by a minute or so. The speakers of the pavilion, of which they resided in, clicked before making an announcement.

"Please don't be alarmed. Building 200 through 201 has been temporarily shut down for security purposes," a strong feminine voice was heard.

"Please remain in your office area until the security issue as been addressed. Thank you for your cooperation." the announcement was repeated then ended with a click.

JAENKO VALERE

Jaenko shook his head from side to side like an angry bull. It was a reflex when he felt uncomfortable. Something was squeezing his head, his horns. They were restricted by... Oh yea, the helmets. Jaenko didn't like the helmets. They fit on other people just fine, but they always stuck on his head in the most annoying way possible. That isn't to say the helmets didn't fit Jaenko, they just made him feel a bit off. Popping off the helmet and clipping it to his belt, the nauvon rotated his organic arm and wiggled the fingers on his mechanical one. Time to get to work.

"Teleportation complete captain, we're all good here," He said, placing his finger to his ear, "We'll call you if we need anything." Looking at the others in the party, he was glad there were four of them. Each building had four rooms, they could clear things individually or in pairs. Jaenko was the most skilled with computers and processing systems and survelance and the like out of the four of them, and the fastest partially due to the way he'd programmed his arm, so he elected to stay in one room by the entrance of 200 the entire time. "We'll cover more ground faster if we split up," he reasoned, "I'll plug in here and keep an eye on things."

Twisting one of his fingers off his hand and sticking it into the nearest login port, Jaenko pulled up a couple of holoscreens in front of him of security camera footage. This way he could watch the rest of the team all at once while screening for lil blips that might also pop up.

Something heavy pressured her head, and it didn't take her long to figure out that it was the helmet she neglected to take along. Glancing at Jaenko, who had quickly belted his own helmet, Katarina followed his lead. However important the helmet was in a hostile situation, Katarina had her doubts that civilians, or any irritated personnel really, would be comforted or forth coming with information if they were speaking with someone armed to the teeth.

As Jaenko set up, Katarina couldn't help but let a somewhat bitter jab slip by as she began her own preparations, "Well, you'll definitely cover a lot more ground between the three of you looking for bugs and all, I'm the one who has to visit every room and do a vis à vis,"with a quick tap at the chip behind her earlobe, her holographic interface pulled up, aligning itself with her implanted eye as it's origin. On her left were her teammate's vital signs, each profile icon loaded with medical details should she choose to select it at will. Right in front of her though, was the list of the personnel that the Captain had uploaded to their armlets moments before. It was rather convenient to have it all in front of her like this, and even better that the majority were unable to see the interface itself - unless they had the same implant and specs that Katarina herself had gotten hold of.

It'd be that much easier to make notes, or cross off potential suspects like this than hovering over her arm, in any case. Glancing at the very top of the list, she was happy to find that the first two resided in the same room. She peeled her attention from her interface to address the rest of her team, "I'll start from the top and run 200 first, then 201," she then paused and thought of another possibility, "or I can check out people based on where you guys find the bugs, my comm will stay open," with that, she got to work.

Standing in front of 200-1, Katarina couldn't help but to smile as she heard rapid Phi bouncing from the walls on the other side. There was nothing better than talkative people when it came to extracting information, and not to mention some really good blackmail material if she needed it to twist some of the more stubborn people's arms.

L:"Do you think someone died?"

E:"Why are you like this? It's possible that it's a problem with the lights, or the fire exit."

L:"Because my life is boring! Is it too much to ask for a little excitement in my life?"

K:"Hello! Can you help me? I am looking for a ... Liz'phi Noalla and a Ellendres Alphi'roa, in the room."

"Est-ce que tu penses que quelqu'un est mort?"

"Pourquoi es tu comme ça? C'est possible qu'il y a un probleme avec les lumiere, ou sorties d'incendies."

"Parce que ma vie est tres ennuyeuse! Est-ce que c'est tellemente trop de demander pour un peu d'excitement dans ma vie?"

Knocking on the door, Katarina gave the occupants a few seconds before she turned the knob, upon seeing two faces spring up among others who continued to work or tend to their own business, Katarina smiled. Both of the faces belonged to elves, a female whose hair was tied into a bun and a male who made the mandatory uniforms look very nice. Both of whom could possible fit the description."Salut! Est-ce que vous peut m'aider? Je suis chercher pour une ... Liz'phi Noalla et un Ellendres Alphi'roa, dans la salle ici." Upon seeing the two faces light up further, Katarina found herself an unused chair and settled in. After a quick exchange, Katarina tapped onto the comm channel she shared with the team, "Room 200-1 is unlikely to give you guys dirty looks or try and kick you out, if any of you are free to give the room a sweep, first two on the list are with me right now and their computers and phones are ready to be looked at."

As soon as the group materialized in the communication hub building, Atsutane pulled up the schematics for the building's tech on his armlet. He did a quick pass through, since it was and older list, not to mention most of it was tech that he could hack in his sleep if need be, assuming they hadn't updated to better models since the inventory the captain had given him was made. Hacking computers was one of his specialties, normally he restricted it to rival ship systems, but he saw no harm in looking around the computers here if that meant rooting out the infiltrator.

He swiped left on the holographic projection over his mechanical wrist and the display changed to the status of his implants. He liked to check them pretty often, especially after transporting, even if it was completely safe (he'd scanned and worked on the transporters himself dozens of times in the last five years) he liked to be sure. The readouts looked good, and the functions that gave him his control over tech were working optimally as well, good. Being able to mentally scan the bugs to figure out their composition would be a great help in this situation, even if it took him several minutes, it would save time in the long run. He waved his hand in front of the display and the hologram folded in on itself, disappearing into his wrist. He looked around at the others that were assigned to the mission with him.

Jaenko wasted no time sitting down at a terminal and setting up to keep watch--good idea, it would help to have a constant feed-- and Katarina went right to work interviewing the personnel in room 200-1. Atsutane didn't want to make the personnel nervous by rooting around in their office while they were being questioned, so he opted instead for room 200-2, raising an eyebrow at the curtains that had snapped shut behind the window the moment they arrived. He sighed and walked over to the door, rapping on it with his mechanical arm and waiting for one of the occupants of the office to answer.

Lil'Ayta chuckled softly when Jaenko entered the room, joking around with the Captain as he arrived and asked about the mission, which only reminded Ayta of why she was concerned. The second engineer joined the ever-growing group with a grin on his face as well, asking questions that needed answers for the mission, which Ayta paid close attention to. Prior to the appearance of both engineers, the Captain had addressed her concerns, but couldn't rid her stomach of the uneasy feeling causing her freckles to glow.

"Very good point, Ayta. In this mission, it is technology intensive. We have a total of fourty-three personnels working within the two buildings likely to be hacked. It will take each of our engineers approximately five minutes to confiscate all tapping devices. If we send one engineer, it will take him or her three and a half hours to check all computers. If we send all three engineers, they will resolve the issue in an hour and ten minutes. This will decrease the time of the inside-man escaping. As for putting our ship in jeopardy, I always check the intergalactic weather forecast in the Celestial Bugle. They have about an eighty percent accurate forecast, and so far there are no major solar storms or storms of any kind. If anything comes close, may it be an unknown spacecraft or solar storm, I'll be sure to teleport one of our engineers back onto the ship before any temporary operational anomalies."

Even though he gave her a reassuring smile that made her cheeks warm, the Chordation woman couldn't bring herself to argue with the Captain and still felt as though something bad would occur. She couldn't explain it, which is why she wouldn't keep pressing the Captain, but her freckles continued to glow at a brighter intensity. One of the other medics appeared, Ayta's apprentice, Katarina, prepared to accompany the engineers. Lil'Ayta felt considerably more relieved with one of her own joining the engineers, because if all hell broke loose, there would be a healer of some sort present. Ireythalli arrived next, joking around as usual with her little automaton in her hair, just in time for the Captain's next words.

"This mission is urgent and we need to confiscate all tapping devices and find the culprit who installed them. I believe there is a traitor within our team for the communications system. Be alert. Good luck team." Once he finished his small speech, he teleported the engineers and the medic to the designated buildings 200 and 201. As Ayta was about to speak with the Captain once more, she felt an alert vibrate the armlet connected to the rest of the ship: someone entered the Infirmary and required treatment. Ayta looked at the Captain with a longing gaze for a moment, hesitating briefly before turning on her heel and walking briskly out of the War Room, striding across the Command Station and through the hall to reach the Infirmary in as little time as possible. It appeared that Martha was under the weather, her normally perky rabbit ears drooping as she sat on one of the cots in the Infirmary.

The slightly shorter female was hunched over on the cot, her pallor much paler than usual, sweaty/clammy, and considerably warm in comparison to her own temperature. The female was shivering and hugging herself tightly, as she awaited Lil'Ayta's arrival. The Chordation looked at the Nauvon with a frown, unhappy with the flu-like symptoms present in the female. Lil'Ayta grabbed one of the many warm blankets present in the Infirmary and wrapped the female in it before helping her to the Sick Bay, preparing her for some treatment. The pale blue woman opened the canister of water at her hip and manipulated the water within it to create a thin film of water that would surround the Nauvon as she lay in bed to make a bubble of sorts. The bubble produced the correct amount of oxygen to sustain the life force of whomever is inside, giving Ayta the ability to keep the sick from infecting others. She made sure the water was warm and kept Martha comfortable as Ayta administered some medicine via oral medication and began her healing treatment. With a sigh, the Chordation twiddled her thumbs and sat in the swivel chair permanently attached to the floor of the ship.

The metal of the floor was cold to her bare feet, and the air that blew through the ship gave Ayta a shiver as she looked at the medical files for the crew members on the mission, thinking about their blood types and whether or not she should assemble some donating centers within the Infirmary to prepare for the worst. The worried female stood with trepidation and left the Sick Bay to approach the Command Center to make an announcement asking for volunteers.

MINGO RATHMIN
As the captain called for someone to go check on any damage that might have occured in the recent asteroid barrage, if it could even be called that. Just a couple of iddy biddy pings on the radar. Mingo didn't mind going and checking on it, even though he wasn't the best one for the job, because he enjoyed the feel of space. It was like the water of his home planet. Peaceful, tranquil, unmoving for the most part. Communication was always strange in water, and it was in outer space too, but there were hand signals for that. He'd be the only one going out anyways, so he'd have a radio. "I'm on it Captain," he said, making his way to the airlock, "ETA, 15 minutes."

After pulling on the skintight spacesuit, Mingo wrapped some magnetic coils and tethers around his shoulder. He slipped his spear into its alloted space on his back as an afterthought. It was amazing how much technology had advanced in the past couple hundred years, before, astronauts wore suits that made them look like giant cyclops teddy bears. Now, there was just a sealed, flexible, and tough material that stretched to accomidate the user, with more of the material in ribs along where the appendages and muscles were. It was almost like an exoskeleton, but flexible, and pressurized, hence the structure. The helmet was a little bubble, kind of, but it was sleek, and dome-ish. He strapped on a pair of magnets to his boots and pressed the button that vented the airlock and opened the doors. With that, he used the tethers and his boots to stay on the ship, and go out into space.

Space was strange. Zero g's really messed with your head sometimes. That was another thing that was similar to water and space. Chordations were better than most at keeping their wits about them because of these reasons. Mingo had been offworld for more than fifty years, however, he had a little trick. He made sure he never had any cardinal directions in his head other than left, right, forwards, or back. It was like the spaceship had its own gravity, and he was just strolling along a tiny little planet. Mingo attatched one of the tethers to the side of the ship, and secured it around his waist. He then used his boots to walk up the side of the ship and survey the damage.

Not to his suprise, there wasn't much. Just a few dings here and there, and small ones at that. He activated his radio to inform the captain of his outcome. "All good up here, Andro," he said, "I only see a few dents here, a few scratches there. Even I could fix them if I had the tools and some directions." The last sentance was actually saying something, because Mingo couldn't fix jack monkey squat.

Na'nahni Aurara
Just as Na'nahni was stepping away, she heard several knocks on her office door. Her gold eyes rolled as she noisily scoffed. "What?" she responded annoyedly; she refused to walk back towards the door just moments after shutting the blinds. Was it not enough that she made it seem she did not want to be disturbed? Of all the doors to knock on. She returned to her computer and began typing where she left off. It was apparent that she did not care much for the uniform she was adorned in. Her shirt was ivory instead of white. The threading that spelled "Sec. 6 Communications" was coming apart. Her off-black, almost green-ish, skirt had a strange texture. Despite all this, her curvaceous body almost made up for what her attire lacked. Her undone buttons exposed the sensual line formed by her large breasts. Her skirt exposed her perfectly shaven and thick thighs. Her dangerously sexy heels screamed 'come get me.'

images

Her face, on the other hand, was not as inviting. Half of her face was covered by her dark velvety hair. Her brows arched angrily, but it seemed effortless with her scowl. Aligned with her golden eyes was a dark eyeliner and shadow; the style of make-up she placed on her face could practically be categorized as gothic. If she had winked at a man, he might as well mistaken her flirtatious gesture as an intent to kill.

Both Ay'ta and Andro have access to all their crew members' vitals: temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, pain, and pulse oximetry – to help evaluate their circulatory, pulmonary, endocrine, and neurological functioning. While Andro is, of course, an android and can do whatever is installed into his programming, there are certain things he is not interested in handling. Hence why his second in command is a doctor. As he stood with his arms crossed, monitoring his team on Phi're and their progression on the mission, Ay'ta left upon noticing Martha's irregular vitals. Thankfully Martha was already aware of her fatigue and escorted herself to the infirmary.

Now knowing Martha was unable to complete the task of inspecting the ship, the Captain winced at Mingo's response to attending to it. The captain rubbed his vibranium forehead as he recalled the last time Mingo was sent outside of the ship to run an errand. After the Chordatian completed the task, he remained in space floating about aimlessly. Though many things can go awry outside of the ship, Andro made sure to invest in the best quality equipment for his crew to ensure things do not go awry. Mingo is the type of Chordatian that likes his space, and he happens to like being in outer space. This slightly annoys the Captain, but with his emotion program, he has an 'eagerness' to please his comrades. Had he not have his emotional programming, he'd probably give Mingo a penalty for reckless behavior.

"Thank you, Sir Rathmin," He responded calmly despite his potential worry of Mingo floating aimlessly in space after checking on the ship. In addition to watching his team spread out down in Phi're, he was watching Mingo inspect the ship, practically inspecting it himself as he did. Andro did not focus too much on Ay'ta as he trusted his second in command more than anyone. He would not have given her the position if she could not handle it. She was strong, intelligent, and strangely he would like to add that she's beautiful. Though it seemed irrelevant to her capabilities.

"All good up here, Andro," he said, "I only see a few dents here, a few scratches there. Even I could fix them if I had the tools and some directions."

"Good," he said sternly, but based off of his installed joke programming, he can assume Mingo being sarcastic. That Chordatian seriously had butter-webbed-fingers.

"How's Martha?" he asked into Ay'ta earpiece then noticed the sound of her feet walking lightly into the Command Station.

Andro knew she heard his question, but upon seeing her again, he asked again with different wording, "All is well?"

After quickly exchanged pleasantries once again, Katarina subtly pulled up a page of questions, they were generic and not at all case sensitive, but procedure, she learned, wasn't something one should make a habit of deviating from. The questions served as a great baseline for any open case, and additionally, depending on how loose tongues were, were pretty amazing ice breakers. If their expressions from earlier were any indication, Katarina figured she had found a pair that had conspiracies, secrets, and suspicions to share.

Her eyes quickly darted down the list, skipping heavier questions, until she found a relatively easy question. "So I'm not quite sure how things go about here, but are the computers here keyed to one specific user only? Does anyone share or use the same equipment regularly?" Liz'phi's jaw dropped and Katarina had to jerk herself stiffly to prevent the instinctive movement to wheel back. Was it something she said, or did the translator break down?

"Do you mean that there's a case of double identity? Is that why you're here, to catch a part-time double face? You know the kind of people that have this day job and," Liz'phi grinned, and at that moment Katarina was struck just a little with how angular the elf's face was, an if she stared a little closer, she'd swear that her pointed ears moved in sync with the fingers that signed for a quote, "a 'night time job' being a vigilante of sorts," Liz'phi paused, as if in thought, and Katarina took the precious time to pick apart and draw her own conclusions. Before she could make note of it though, the elf continued, undeterred by her lack of response, "you know, I never really thought those kind of people exist, it's just such a ... " Two snaps and a wild hand gesture later, her friend, from just a few ways across the room cut in for her helpfully.

"Cliche? Tell me about it," Ellendres drawled, then after a moment guffawed, "No really! Think about it, some hidden hero of sorts that works as a desk jockey like us, now that's really a cliche! Probably has the dirtiest history on his techs though," While Katarina gave a polite chuckle, and of course, a mental tip of a hat to the irony, she couldn't help but to notice that more than a few of the workers in between the two elves gave a halfhearted groan at ... what, the noise level, topic of discussion perhaps?

Finding herself catching the momentum of the discussion, Katarina took the time to log in some helpful notes, partially ready to distribute and update her team. With her right hand bent across her lap, her two fingers began to tap. To regular individuals, it likely looked like a severe fidgeting problem, but Katarina smoothly rolled on with the next question while she was at. Not sure whether each computer/phone is exclusively used by only one person. Liz'phi and Ellendres do not seem threatened by the idea at all, they seem to be making fun of the very idea, so I am leaning towards the possibility of each device and work station being used only by one individual. Someone should check login times, average typing speed, or even net history for confirmation. "I imagine that security here would be tight enough to do a scrub every night, and wipe away any kind of history, is it different for each person?"

The two thought it over. "I mean ... depends on what you're doing right?" Ellendres thought aloud, leaning back against his chair.

"Also depends on who's maintaining the scrub." Liz'phi continued before gasping out loud. "What if it's the guys who do the monthly patches? Did you know ..."

--- ][ ---

An update was tacked onto her notes, available to the captain and whoever may have the equipment to access details.
Liz'phi and Ellendres are very talkative, and also very co-dependent. Unfortunately, they are placed at opposite ends of the room, so every one in between is also caught in the middle of their conversations. Unlikely to have conspired anything, without at least four other people having caught wind of it. Both confess to have used at least 30% of work time searching up cat videos - highly unlikely to have ability, time, or interest in compromising security of any level.

Not only was she ignored, it seemed as though the red-orange-haired female didn't even exist to the girl she had been crushing on for the past few years. If that wasn't enough to upset the hot-tempered woman, it would come to everyone as a surprise. The demonic elf pursed her red lips together tightly, her fiery gaze flickering between Katarina and her other group mates. Her flaming hair was indeed lit, but since it was tied up messily and kept out of the way, the helmet that later appeared on her head would prevent any burn damage done at the Communications Center. The Captain teleported the four of them down to the planet's surface, within the buildings they were meant to investigate, allowing the engineers to work immediately. Jaenko settled down as soon as they arrived and indicated that splitting up would be the best of choices. As Ireythalli was still quite irritated with Katarina, she verbally snapped at everyone else before departing.

"Fine by me. I'm going to the other building." Her tongue was sharp, enunciating the word 'other' with emphasis before swiveling on her heel and marching through the door that led to Building 201. Interrogation was far from the Phi'rean's mind as she strode across the hall and entered the first room designated for inspection, Room 1. The door was unlocked and the windows bared to allow the room's inhabitants peer through the glass to get a better picture of what was going on. The sudden burst into the office committed by Ire startled the two humans out of their seats and onto the carpeted floor, the ensuing hilarity of the two scrambling to their feet doing little to amuse the angered demonic elf. With a glance to her armlet, the fiery female spoke tersely to the two employees, confirming their identities before she poked around.

"Ernesto Douglas and Samantha Williams, correct?" Both of them nodded in acknowledgement, then smiled equally devilish grins. "You're with the Sector 6-10 Squad, right?" Began the female, her obvious curiosity incredibly difficult to miss. Ire, however, was in no mood to deal with such pestering questions, as she had a job to do. "Keep it up and I'll take apart all of your electronics within the hour to the point where they are no longer repairable." Ire snapped, making her way to Samantha's desk, her eyes sweeping the area for anything that looked out of the ordinary before she took apart the monitors and the towers for their computers to look on the inside for the same alienistic presence (no pun intended~). Samantha and Ernesto, however, were unperturbed. The dark-skinned male scoffed at her threat and spoke with all the possible sass, "Oh puh-lease, sweetheart, the only reason someone like you would be angry is if you didn't get what you wanted. Let me see...did someone turn you down? Criticize you for that obviously very ratty hair? Hon, if you want someone to notice you, don't bring the rat's nest." He grinned with a hint of malice, his fair blonde-haired coworker joining him in his banter. "Maybe she just isn't getting the attention she wants. Are you sleeping with your higher ups? We heard that Na'nahni Aurara in Building 200 does the same thing, and that's the only reason why she still has her job. Maybe you should try it so you don't lose yours, haha~!" The snarky, nails-on-chalkboard irritating voices that came from the other side of the room made Ire's work very difficult; it took every ounce of her being not to melt the technology she was holding onto with all of the anger and hurt she felt.

Without another word, Ire marched over to Ernesto's desk, pushing past the two of them roughly and with haste. She wanted out of there as soon as possible. With her teeth gritted together and the only thing keeping her calm being her pet Daedalus, she managed to ask some of the protocol questions. "Have either of you seen anything out of the ordinary? Anyone who could have placed this," Ire paused to pull the tapping device from the computer's hard drive within the tower and show it to the two employees, who shook their heads. "You mean something other than you? Nothing comes to mind." Samantha and Ernesto smirked at the frustrated engineer, who shook her head, no longer able to deal with their incessant bombardment of questions and rude comments. Ire moved to the door and shoved it open, moving farther down the hall, out of the view of the other rooms, before leaning against one of the walls and slumping against it, sliding down to the ground with her heart racing and her mind full of conflicting thoughts.

Atsutane raised an eyebrow at the irritated response from the office's occupant, He sighed again and opened the door, stepping into the office in the same motion and assessing the room. It was a small office, nothing special or out of the ordinary from what he could tell, besides the woman sitting at the desk anyway. If looks could kill... the Nauvon thought to himself. The woman's uniform was disheveled, but somehow she managed to make it work with her form, maybe it was the heels. Atsutane would've thought she was downright sexy if she wasn't looking at him like he was a small rodent that had just crawled on her desk and tap danced. He cleared his throat, glancing around the office again, anything to avoid those eyes that were staring daggers into him.

"Sorry for the intrusion, ma'am," the engineer stated, deciding to go with the direct, to-the-point approach with the vexed elf. "I'm with Sector 6-10 Squad. We've got an investigation going on and I need to search your office."

Wrapping up her time with the elf duo, Katarina soon found herself outside building 200 once more, where she and her team had first began their mission. It suddenly occurred to her that it was truly a relief to know that at least two other teammates were also in the pursuit for the elusive instigator of this entire investigation - she shuddered at the thought of trying to strike down all eight rooms on her lonesome. As she pondered where to head off to next she brightened up when she spotted Jaenko where she'd seen him last. As he was in charge of monitoring their individual locations, she was not worried that he'd head butt her. Yet she found it appropriate to exercise caution and stand just two steps shy of the nest that he'd created for himself around the security camera port.

"Hey there, Jaenko," she greeted as she dug into the small pockets on her arm brace. "Interrogation is done and field notes are uploaded, Room 200-1 is officially cleared with ..." she smiled as she presented him with two chunky white pieces of hardware, "these bad boys secured." She gave the two pieces a good hard look, she was no expert in engineering, but when she had experimentally pulled open towers and found the two obviously misplaced gadgets, she figure they had to be planted on the innocent elf duo by a third party. "Mind if I just offload them to you? You can probably figure out what those are and stuff .. I mean, after you peek at the security footage and everything. No rush."

Ah. How inconvenient could she be, she berated herself, and was quick to peer at the holoscreens that Jaenko had set up. After a bit of guesswork, she was able to identify each member of the team, and made a quick decision to continue after Atsutane, in Room 200-3. Bidding him farewell, she bounded over to the door, but just as she made to knock on the door, an alarming sound startled her. Turning right round, she simply saw a door closing on itself, unfortunately, she only caught the smallest glimpses of a blurry shadow aggressively making their way further away. Well, if she concentrated, the fading steps sounded just as aggressive as well.

Gulping and quickly switching gears, she kept a firm hand rested at the handle of her gun, securely strapped around her thigh, and darted right around the corner, hoping to chase what could potentially be their perpetrator. When she did round the corner, hand firmly gripped around a semi-unholstered gun, she was shocked when she realized that she had stepped in onto what looked like a really private situation for Ire.

Her first question that came to mind was, "What happened?" but she quickly found an answer herself for that, one that immediately opened a floodgate of confusion. When the team had first dropped in on the LZ, Ire had already made clear of her irritation, storming as far away as she possibly could. She did not miss the particular venom that had accompanied the words, either, and could speculate more than a few reasons why. Biting her lip, she began to think.

She could offer an apology, yet to most people - herself included - actions always spoke louder, mere words seemed insincere. Besides, Katarina knew full well that with any apology, there would be an excuse, no matter how valid or dire, that was simply not something one would offer to a friend - let alone someone she considered dear and special. One bitter thought that traveled through was that Katarina did not even have any sort of excuse, truly, to weigh over her conscious. That left her with a limited number of options. She had no idea how to begin to apologize, grovel, or cross this particular bridge. At least until her hand brushed her pockets.

Stepping and crouching in front of Ire, Katarina brought out a small bag of fizzy coke gummies. "I heard from a few elves around here that these are a really hot commodity on Phi're," she began, offering some to Ire. "...I don't know if I hurt you with my behavior - or lack of really, or if this is unrelated entirely ... but I'd really love the chance to properly apologize or talk it out with you, make it up to you later, have some girl talk even ..." she took a glance around the corner she came from, "as soon as we wrap up everything here, you know." Pocketing the sweets, she stood up and dusted herself off. "What do you say we tag team the closest room?" She offered her hand out hopefully.

Deep down though, beneath guilt and vehement denial, resentment flared. The clinical profession in her snarled at the pass she allowed for this ... this
petulance that interfered with the mission. Send her back, inevitable sabotage by way of distracted influences will doom us all. Send me back, engineers can take over, my presence is clearly agitating an otherwise able-crewmate. Yet neither of these rebelled beyond her tight grasp of morality. Guilt was justified, so resentment had no right to remain. It had to stay so.

JAENKO VALERE

Jaenko was watching the screens intently. He used his regular hand to flick through the cameras, but his robotic hand was searching for anomalies. He recieved a slight vibration when he found discrepancies, or things that were not usually there, but what was strange in reguard to info output was the fact that there were none. Narrowing his eyes, Jaenko went through the data slower and slower, but still, the data that was being gathered here from the bugs wasn't showing up anywhere else. He'd been through the entire cloud network before he heard Katarina calling out to him.

"I've got these bad boys secured," She said. Holding out his hand, it took Jaenko a bit to look back at her. He realized what she had given him were the bugs. "Oh thanks," Said Jaenko, "Now I can scan for specifics. This'll make finding the rest of them much easier."

After scanning the bugs to find their components, Jaenko was more confused than he was before. All of the data was still in the system, and had never left the building. However, there were so many signals sent by the bugs that went to so many dfferent rooms, it was impossible for him to tell where the person who had made them actually was. Nonetheless, after running a frequency scan, he located the general area of the other bugs.

Pressing his hand to his earpiece, Jaenko informed his other teamates of this find.
"Allrighty everybody, I've run a few scans on the bugs, courtesy of Katarina." Scrolling across the screen with the scan results, Jaenko continued. "Looks like we've got six more of the lil things out there, that makes eight in total. If I had to guess, which I don't since I have a computer telling me this, there's at least one in each room except for the one with the humans in 201."

His info stated, Jaenko went back to sizing up the subjects on the security monitors. The fact that there wasn't a bug in the room with the humans pointed an accusing finger directly at them. Unless of course, it wasn't the humans in building 201, and the culprit was framing them for some reason. Or possibly, it actually WAS the people in 201, and they had EXPECTED for someone to think that they saw through their plan to shift blame on someone else by excluding themselves. It is also possible that they had thought of that as well, and they hadn't planted any bugs on themselves because in planting bugs on themselves, they would arouse suspiscion by arousing the question of suspiscion while arousing suspiscion to themselves, thus poining the finger elsewhere.

Jaenko rubbed his temples. It was also possible that they weren't that smart at all, and just went with not bugging themselves.

UNLESS THATS WHAT THEY WANTED HIM TO THINK

Na'nahni gave the, what she thought was a human a loud scoff as he claimed he needed to search her office. She stood from her chair and gave her hip a dramatic cock to the side. Her relentless eyes, glowing gold, pierced holes into the man supposedly working for the Sector 6-10 Squad. She critically analyzed his greenish hair and uniform. She, then, noticed something on his back. Was it wings? She encircled him like prey then gave him a shrug, "Doubt you'll find anything." She sat back in her chair and continued working on her computer. She gave her back to him and didn't seem she was going to give much attention from then on.
