Michelle stopped jogging when the girl walked over to her. "Oh Hello!" She said, trying her pink hair into a pony tail. "I'm new here, just moved" she added.

Michelle nodded happily she didn't know her neighbor was so nice, "Cool! Oh school? Ugh, I forgot about that. " she said, she forgot to sign up for school when she moved,"I'll fix it soon. I don't know which school to go to, I'm Michelle" she said.

Lai sat in the branches atop his favourite tree in the park, observing the girls as they spoke. He was familiar with Katherine's face and voice, but the other seemed new. Lai knew most everyone in town; if he didn't recognize someone, chances were they were an outsider. His bones ached against the hardness of the tree.
