Quirks: Not sure if it counts as a quirk, but Lorne does this thing, like—she’s sweet. Really sweet and social and she can draw people in easily, but sometimes people can’t gauge if she’s gaining trust to use it against someone or if she genuinely cares. She’s a socialite child of a “diplomat”—with all the social graces, and none of the real one-on-one abilities to intimately converse and be fully herself. She smiles a lot, especially in uncomfortable, uncalled for situations too.

Bio:
Lorne was born into what some of her peers, if not all of them, would consider new money. Her father emerged as a titan in social circles when she was in her teens from nearly nothing. She never asked where the money came from, or how he obtained it. All she really remembers is spending primary grades in public schools and living in a 1200 square foot ranch style home in the suburbs to [what felt like] waking up the next day to a 1.5-million-dollar home, new clothes and new…everything, and a sudden acceptance letter into St. Ivy’s her senior year of high school.

Not many people know that she wasn’t always from wealth, and she harbors a sense of shame about it. She keeps a close eye on her reputation and any rumor regarding her presence at the school. She never lies, she just stretches the truth… that she came from oil, or inheritance money… anything but the fact that, in her opinion, her father’s brother partaking in a few heists here and there might have appealed to her father a little too much and one day he finally took the plunge towards crime. But hey, it paid.

Despite everything, Lorne is a social chameleon. She can blend in with the best of them, just as her parents did arriving on the scene, in order to make herself feel legitimate. Sometimes she feels like her whole life at St. Ivy’s is a performance. Sometimes, it is.

  A Snapshot of Raoul's History
  
  On the night after Raoul's fifteenth birthday, his life very suddenly turned crazy. He was staying at Beau's house for the night after his parents had gotten into a particularly bad fight. They were just talking about meaningless stuff, when suddenly Beau got very serious and asked, "Raoul, now that you're fifteen, I have something to tell you, but first I have a question for you. In these past two days, have you ever felt as if there's something inside you, almost like a different being?"
  
  Raoul nodded, shocked that his cousin could put it so plainly. He had noticed the feeling in his chest, and it scared him. "Do you know what it is?" he asked.
  
  "Yes, I do," Beau answered, "because I am the same as you. We inherited it from our great-grandfather Andersen."
  
  "You say 'we' as though you and me are different from everyone else," said Raoul, narrowing his eyes suspiciously. He had always trusted his cousin, but now something fishy was going on.
  
  "Trust me, it came as a shock to me, too," replied Beau. "The truth is, we're not human, Raoul. We're shapeshifters."
  
  It had taken Beau shifting numerous times to convince Raoul that he was telling the truth, and he could still hardly wrap his head around it. But eventually he had to accept the fact. Beau had offered to start with his training, and he had accepted, glad that someone he knew and trusted would be teaching him. When he turned seventeen, however, Beau told him that he had taught him all he could, and he would have to go to school to learn the rest. That is how he came to be studying at Edgar Wolff's when the fire happened.

  Raoul can shapeshift into a wolf and communicate with other canines when in his wolf form. However, it is very hard to control the shifts, and he has been caught partially shifting when scared/angry/surprised.
