STORY OF SEASONS
overview.
Once upon a time, there was a place called Eden Town. It was settled on land blessed by the Harvest Goddess, very fertile and good for farmers. In fact, the town had many farmers! It was a very beautiful place and hosted many festivals. Life was blissful in Eden Village, and the people were happy.
Disaster struck, however, as a storm swooped in. The Harvest Goddess protected the townsfolk, but in doing so lost her power and entered a deep sleep for one hundred years. Though the people were safe, the town was not, and the townsfolk left Eden Town for newer horizons.
Now, one hundred years later, the Harvest Goddess has woken up. Seeing her beloved Eden Town abandoned, she sought out someone that could help to rebuild the town, a descendant of the last mayor. The descendant had heard stories of the town from their ancestors, and so made the decision to help the Goddess rebuild it. They set out for the land alongside their childhood friend, a follower of the Goddess's faith, taking on the mantle of mayor and deciding to do everything in their power to make Eden Village as successful as it once was.
Hello! Welcome to Seasons Under The Harvest Moon - a role play based on Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons, alongside other farming sim games. Before I start rambling, apologies in advance for the low quality role images.
This RP will be a slice of life, sandbox RP focused on relationships and building the town. There will be festivals and competitions, the manner of how to go through with the latter being discussed when they come - more than like a dice roll system. There is no character limit, and most of the roles - baring 'resident' are just certain professions that were in the games. I'll be limiting those to one per person for now (except for farmer, you can have one of the roles plus a farmer. I'm thinking of capping farmers off at 10, but we'll see.) As for residents, you're free to have them own a business or have a career that isn't one of the listed roles, such as a bakery owner or novelist. Be silly, go crazy.
OOC will be made when there's a few interested parties, CS will be made when I have the mayor done, and the IC will be made when we have a handful of accepted characters. This will be a casual RP, but a semi-literate one. No posting requirements, but no one liners. The OOC will be on-site because I'm too lazy to run another discord server LMAO.
Plot out romances and families with one another, or employees! Doctor, hire a nurse! Restaurant owners, hire waitstaff! Friendship's a big part of the series, so I want a lot of it ^^. Roles don't have any set prior relations, besides the priest(ess) and mayor being childhood friends, so plot, plot, plot!

The descendant of the last mayor of Eden Town, who grew up listening to stories about it. They were reached out to by the Harvest Goddess to rebuild it, and thus took on the mantle of mayor like their ancestor. They're a young adult, determined to do by right by their predecessor and the Goddess. Their task is a big one, however...

A young adult, and the childhood friend of the mayor who dedicated themselves to the Goddess's faith. They were the first that the mayor came to after their vision, and wanting to support the friend and the Goddess, decided to join them in revitalizing Eden Town. They will eventually run the church in town.

Need seeds or groceries? The general store has you covered! The general store is the backbone of any town, and one of the farmers' best friends when it comes to supplies and crop seeds.
florist

Flower seeds? The florist has them! Want a bouquet? They've got that too! For a farmer focusing on flowers, the florists will gladly provide seeds and help them craft their yields into beautiful bouquets to gift to others.
animal shop owner

For all one's livestock and pet needs, including supplies, the animal store has got you covered! For a farmer specializing in livestock, the animal shop will be a second home, selling feed, treats, and medicine, and being able to breed animals. The owner is quite the animal lover themselves, of course, and is glad to help out when a new animal is born, and helping when an animal reaches the end of its lifespan.

The waters are the fishery owner's sanctuary. They sell fish, and fish food for anyone with a pond or hatchery. On their days off, they can be found fishing for their leisure or investigating the waters around Eden Town.

The owner of the restaurant, and a highly skilled cook. If one needs to recover their stamina, they should head to the restaurant! At night, the restaurant becomes a bit more alive, serving cocktails and having a bit more nightlife.
innkeeper

If you're visiting the town, or need a place to rest your head, the innkeeper has a place for you! The inn may require a lot of work and socialization to keep up, but it's an important piece of the town, making sure that nobody goes cold or hungry.

The children of Eden Town will need an education, and that's where the teacher comes in. They'll work at the schoolhouse, making sure the youth learns well. Maybe they won't be the only teacher, but they own the schoolhouse and the decision is theirs.
doctor

A doctor, and the owner of a clinic, is an important person to have in town. Any injuries or ailments, go to them. They'll fix you right up to the best of their abilities. Though they maaaay use experimental medicines.
carpenter

A builder and an architect, a master of their craft, a carpenter is a very necessary part of rebuilding Eden Town, as well helping farmers with buildings and the like. They sell materials and blueprints alongside their building services. Of course, the Eden Town rebuilding efforts will be aided by others pitching in too, but the carpenter's role is not to be understated.

Upgrading tools and selling materials? No problem! The blacksmith is a craftsman, and may sell blueprints of their own. They help out farmers to upgrade their tools to be even more efficient, and supply ores. They may be found in the mines, looking for them, on their days off. Their just as vital as the carpenter in revitalizing Eden Town.

For anyone with a passion for fashion, the tailor will give you an outfit that's perfect for you! Good at sewing and designing, the tailor can make clothes both for practicality and for the looks.
hairdresser

Need a new style? Come to the salon, and the hairdresser will give you a new hairdo! They're at dyeing and cutting, and even matching to clothes! Maybe they're friends with the tailor due to their common goal - making the town stylish.

Farmers are the backbone of Eden Town. Shipping crops, flowers, and produce all help to stock the shelves of the town's businesses. Everyone helps everyone! The land is fertile and good for raising livestock, and there is plenty of land to go around for many farmers. Rivals and friends, they are. Each farmer has strengths, and by working together and having friendly competitions, the community of Eden Town grows!

Residents who don't own any of the above businesses - maybe they're a child or have another job, or maybe they own a bakery. Whatever they are, they're just as important to the town as everyone else!
