Evelyn stretched, the sun was just rising as they reached the shore of a little town in Maine. She stood at the front of her deck. Her red hair blew out of her face, today was the day she dreaded, it was the day of the annul meeting. All the pirates were going to be there. She sighed as the boat touched the dock. Her crew was up, and working. Only the captains were aloud to attend. They werent allowed to bring any weapons. The pirate king had always been paranoid of his assassination. "Make sure the boat is safe! Goodbye, Ill be back soon." Her voice was cold as she got off the boat. The Commoners stared in fear when the pirates came on land. The houses were locked, and the children were indoor. She began to walk towards the city hall where the meeting was held. She took a breath in, an slowly realized that this was the last day of the pirate king. The letter he sent stated that he was choosing a new pirate king, and he said there was a surprise that would gain the winner riches. She was totally in love with that idea.

Evern had docked his ship earlier but due to a dispute he had to handle something his crew did wrong. He got the problem sorted out soon after though "Ok then take care of the ship while i'm gone and if you go in my quarters i'll feed you to Git" He said smirking at the crew before jumping of the boat and going towards the meeting. So many people were gonna be there and he had to look presentable, He made sure his eye patch was on right hiding his blue eye and revealing only the green one.

Evelyn went to get fresh bread, the baker was practically shaking in his boots when he saw her. She took a bite of the warm bread, it was rare to have good food like this. She then got to the city hall, she sighed standing outside of it. She sighed again, she wasnt ready to face all those people. Most of her worst enemies were in there. She could kill them on the spot, she wasnt scared. She just didnt want to mess with those pigs. They always flirted with her, being the only female captain was annoying. All the men looked down on her, under estimated her. Since she became a captain more female pirates joined, but this meeting only allowed famous pirates. Pirates people remembered, and she was one of them surprisingly.

Evern was walking when he saw an orange tree and his eyes glimmered. He took a many oranges and put them into his sash, he waked as he ate one of the removing the skin and tossing it to the ground. He remembered the sweet and tangy taste of it and smiled as he walked over near the city hall place where they were all meeting. He saw the girl captain from sometime before "Eh, you're here for this whole fiasco as well right?" He asked her popping another bit of orange into his mouth chewing it for a moment then swallowing it.

Her face was cold, as a captain walked towards her. "Of course, Ive been coming here for 2 years." She sighed looking away. They stood there for a moment, she refused to talk. She knew who he was, how could he not know her! This infuriated her! She never got any credit. She would when she would when this prize, then she would be respected.

Evern looked at the girl for a moment "Oh it's you I thought we had another young captain joining us. Sorry I didn't notice you before Ms. Evelyn if memory serve good" He said as he looked at her. He got a second orange from his pocket and held it out so she could take it if she wanted. "These taste better than most thing's you'd be eating out at sea so i'd eat these while you can" He said smiling at her his attempts to be friendly seemingly failing.

She sighed taking the orange, "Okay, well thank you." she then started walking towards the door, entering. Leaving Evern behind. She entered, and there was at least 20 pirates in there. She sighed as males already began gossiping, and catcalling her. Two of them walked up,


"Why are you here sweetie, you should be cooking in my kitchen." He made a kissy face, she walked away pissed.

Evern walked in at the last half of the mans words. He walked over to the guy "You should be more careful. She'd sink your ship in mere moments" He said patting the man on the back before moving around the table where he believed the conference would occur as he prepared. He looked at his hand while his other eye stared into the blackness of his eye-patch since they were multi-color.
