Searching for the true path
Ok the plot I'm going to give out as a prospective Rp has been something I personally have worked on extensively for about 2 years. It was once a NANO project that was more than I could chew. But I love this idea, and I would love to rp it (hopefully with more than one person...since it's a pretty big plot). [Personally the closest I can explain is something on the cross between the X men, The Host, and The 100 as a general gist].
There are 2 societies. Simplex and Complex. Basically the Simplex are living in an underground "Utopia" (located under what was once the US and Canada) and they all look almost the same. Blue eyes, blonde hair, a certain height. Think Aryan like in their appearance. (They have their flaws, like lack in vitamin D since they don't see the sun and the like but they attribute that as a price to pay for better perfection)
Complex live on the surface of the earth where things are somewhat stable ecology-wise. Most complex adapted to living in the thriving flora/fauna lands. Almost like if they were native tribesmen.
After WWVI things were pretty bad thanks to the nuclear/chemical warfare. This contributed to the beginning markings of mutation. Mostly missing limbs, concaved heads, etc. Yet little by little in the span of a few centuries power mutations begin to appear. The ones who were more susceptible in gaining this mutation were Latin/Hispanic; Asian; Middle East; African, basically going down to anything-non-white ethnicity. While those who went underground weren't that susceptible to it.
Ya'll must be asking yourselves why? Well dolls let me explain.
As a project to save themselves. The european nations and some north american (including Canada) politicians got together seeing how horrible things were getting. This small band of rich and powerful white men began to build an underground utopia. Once completed they relocated US/Canada and european countries to it. The lack of exposure to the climate and the pollution made them less susceptible to mutations. As the years passed the band removed the current countries and established themselves as monarchs.
So the rest of humanity evolved and adapted to the airborne and presumably waterborne changes. Except for the ones who weren't there to adapt. ALSO, the flora and fauna adapted to. Flora growing on the ruins of the past era of apparent prosperity.
Not everyone was able to adapt and that dwindled the population that was left. And if anyone tried to get into the utopia that wasn't european/north american would be killed on site.
In the band there began to try to create the "perfect" race. Anyone who wasn't blue eyed blonde hair and with other 'desireable' physical characteristics began to disappear. Because they were used as experimentation.
Wait but there's blonde haired blue eyed Latinos with light colored skin. No but I'm talking about like Mexico/South/Central America and Caribbean Latinos/Hispanics.
They weren't allowed in. Think of it like going into a club, if you didn't have an invite the bouncer threw you out. Even IF you fit the bill.
Mutations
This was all done thanks to the after effects of radiation and chemical warfare (think Bruce Banner being exposed to Gamma rays became the Hulk, but not instantaneous). Most abilities can be genetic mind that. But other factors like biological status and geographical location can change things as well. Almost like most redheads will be found in Ireland and the like. Some can easily be reduced solely to appearance while others can allow people to do different feats once deemed impossible. (there will be limits)
AESTHETICS OF SOCIETIES
Simplex
To picture the simplex, think art deco and modern. Geometrical patterns, symmetry, easily distinguished patterns. Clinical, the use of emotions (anger, sadness, love, joy, excitement) and desires (hatred, revenge, lust/sensual) are prohibited. Everyone is really similar to carbon copies. The colors mostly seen is white, black, grey, brown, cream. The clothes are simplistic and really the same. There are also few hairstyles to choose from.
Complex
Think more art nouveau. A lot of nature, free thinking. The use of color (such color, such power, very chaotic, very wow) is highly encouraged. Tattooing has stayed as a form of expression and diversity is easily seen. Even then there have been sights of special tattoos that between groups mean something "kill count, etc". They have less technology than the simplex, almost like comparing modern day usa (simplex) with the usa when they were colonies (complex). It’s very hostile and they have to defend themselves from Pirate groups, rival groups, the Simplex, the forces of nature, and carnivorous plants/animals.[/SPOILER]

- Be comfortable playing both genders and really be able to Double-Quadruple up. Most will be like NPC's with 1-2 Main and the like. This plot is big, ergo it needs a big cast.

- Structure (I really don't want to see one big blob of a 'paragraph' that doesn't have capitalization or the like (don't care much for spelling since I usually use my phone/tablet aka autocorrect is a pain; and I am no grammar nazi
- If something's up tell me; or sometimes I forget when people reply. I won't get mad if you shoot me up with a "hey might be gone away fro a few days" or "the plot got boring for me, sorry" I would strongly appreciate that and to be honest stuff happens muse's come and go and life is like that.
