  Hello! I'm Nicky, a 16-year-old high school student in Midwestern Ontario. I'm nonbinary (I use she, he, or it pronouns), and I'm a lesbian.
  
  
  And I really love RolePlay!
  
  
  But, sadly, I have not really been able to do so regularly since this past February. I've searched for partners now and then, but, it's been really difficult! I think a defining factor for my difficulty probably stems from my need for drastic diversity? I, for one, do not believe there's anything such as "diversity for diversity's sake". Life is diverse. Fictional universes should reflect that.

  My characters come from many different places. They are racially diverse, many of them being mixed race. Most of them come in some flavour of being LGBTQ+. I really struggle with writing characters who are straight and cis so I don't... really... have any. Sorry. I have characters who are trans and straight, and cis and nonhet (sorry, I don't use the Q-slur outside of "genderqueer" so I won't use it here).
  
  
  Another big deal with me is having characters be mentally diverse. Many of my characters are mentally ill, or have developmental disabilities, or learning disorders. These are things that I think I write into my characters because I find it hard to get good representation for myself? I have a learning disorder (it's specific to math), development disability (I have ADD!), and I'm mentally ill (depression, GAD, BPD with psychotic symptoms, a dissociative disorder. It's a lot!), so I struggle to find myself in media I consume. So I create my own!
  
  
  I don't have very many physically disabled characters, but I've been trying to work on that. So far I have an amputee (prosthetic leg), someone with fibromyalgia, and someone with a muscular dystrophy. I really need to work on this area.

  • First off, please don't be too much older than me. I've had horrible experiences with adults using their age as a power over me and being awful to me so I'm a little weary around adults. So I think 20 might be the oldest I'd be willing to RolePlay with, and 16 being the youngest. I'm 16 right now, but I'll be 17 in March. I sometimes deal with mature themes in my writing and, even if you're comfortable with them, I wouldn't be comfortable talking about them with you. Sorry. (If you're 15 and your birthday is in March, or early April, then you can still apply.)
    
  • Also, I'd love it if you'd talk to me outside of RolePlaying! I would love to make more friends!
    
  • Tell me what your limits and triggers (if you have any) are please! Also, although I will write NSFW things, I won't do it with anyone under 16 or over 19.
    
  • I usually try to write at least 2 paragraphs. You don't have to do exactly two, one really long paragraph is fine! If you just can't do that, then try to do at least five lines. I'm pretty lenient with this. Oh, and if you can, please try and make your starters much longer. It introduces your character to me!
    
  • Diversity! This is a biggie for me. Your characters should have different races, genders, sexualities, etc. I mean, white cis straight people with no mental or physical disabilities do exist, but are they really the vast majority? With all the other things someone could be, it's unlikely.
    
  • A commitment to world, character, and relationship building. Although I am willing to start a RolePlay off with two characters in a relationship together, I don't really prefer it. I also dislike having an RP focused directly around romance, however, if it happens, then great! Although, a few of my characters are aromantic. Keep that in mind please.
    
  • I expect moderate activity. Once a day replies would be ideal, but I know people get busy, so it's not at all expected! I probably wouldn't even be able to do that all the time. Once a week is pretty achievable, I think, so I expect that. If you aren't able to, just shoot me a message! I won't bite!
    
  • Notice how I've been saying characters, with an S? That's because I expect you to have some background characters that play important roles. They don't have to be necessarily in-depth characters, just people who help the plot along.

  Well... I'm not really sure! I have a few ideas, sure, but nothing that's really concrete. I'll throw out a few different half-baked (or maybe even quarter-baked, or just kind of mixed batter) ideas here. In case anyone gets an idea on how to add to one of these, that's great!
  
  
  • I've been super interested in cyberpunk lately? I'm not really sure what the actually plot would be though. Oops.
    
  • An arranged marriage would be interesting!
    
  • A dystopia? This could be paired with any number of my other ideas. A revolution could be tied in in with this.
    
  • Espionage! Our two characters could be partners, or perhaps rivals within the same agency? Or maybe only one is the spy, and has to spy on the other, but then falls in love. Do they choose their love, or their job? So much can be done with this one!
    
  • Post-Apocalyptic? I'm not really into zombies, I think they're a bit overdone, but if you have a really original twist on zombies I'd be willing to consider it! I prefer post-apocalypse scenarios where the world's former governments are at fault. It adds... something to the world.
    
  • Uncovering mysteries. Think Gravity Falls-esque.
    
  • General slice of life stuff. Growing up, going to school. Things like that. Maybe something a bit more intense too, like getting involved with drugs and gangs. The "wrong crowd".

  Also, if I'm writing older characters, please keep in mind I'm 16. I won't necessarily be accurate with their emotional responses.

I think we'd be awesome roleplay partners! I love the type of character you create, considering I'm the same way with mine. my newest character has an autoimmune disorder and my main one that I usually use is bigender. Other than them, my secondary characters are fairly diverse as well. Diversity is so essential and I'm glad someone else gets that! If you'd be interested in a slice of life roleplay, message me.
