Multiple Settings Searching for a roleplay partner.

Hi! My name is LordToastReborn, but you can call me Cheems. Here are all the things I'm interested in regarding roleplay and which I am not interested in, I also have a few brief ideas which I can flesh out if you display interest.

𝚆̲𝚑̲𝚊̲𝚝̲ ̲𝙸̲ ̲𝚕̲𝚒̲𝚔̲𝚎̲:̲
• The fantasy genre, Set in a fictional universe and not our own. I dislike rigid magic systems in preference for just outlined rules. However you are free to discuss this with me.
• Settings based off of the Victorian Era and slightly later From 1840-1910. (Which may or may not be steampunk.) However I also like Medieval Fantasy, Romans and Greeks I find slightly harder in terms of worldbuilding but still enjoyable. Any other historic setting is also allowed.
• Whilst I prefer stories more related to the characters involved in the story rather than wider consequences such as saving the nation or the world. I still like if there are high rewards or consequences in interpersonal roleplay, This is perhaps the weakest of the above points and something I do not seek after unlike the other 2.

• Anything that is Futuristic. I do not mind Sci-fi in historic setting, like any stated earlier.
• I am uninterested in roleplay part of existing fandoms.
• Anything in regard to the modern era. Though if it's before 1950 I will probably be interested.

• I will typically post 1-2 paragraph messages around 1-3 times a day. I will however, seek to match the amount you write rather than the other way round.
• I will not ghost you. I will tell you if I do not feel we are roleplaying well, (which is unlikely.) Do not hesitate to do the same if you feel you need to do so.
• If we are both active and free, one-liners are not prohibited as we can respond to each other quickly.
• MxM, MxF and FxF romance are allowed between characters, Though romance is not something which I actively seek.
• I am active from 18 UTC onwards each day.
• I will do either PM's or Discord.

»Ilmiryn Crescentmoon is 26 year old elven scientist, He spends his time researching electricity and magnetism. He seems to have trouble finding any significant breakthroughs, which he seeks to present at a scientific conference and gain fame which will permeate for generations. However he seems to be developing a strange ability within his point of study. maybe an apprentice, co-worker, or even his boss could help him in his research or aid him in honing his magic.

»Iados Junoon is a 22 year old tiefling barkeeper, he is employed at the same tavern he gambles within. However he seeks out a best of five game of blackjack with a demon In exchange for demonic abilities, as he'd rather gamble away his soul rather than sacrifice his sanity, belongings or others. He knows of the dealer, but he does not know of the men sat around the table with him, and if he is lucky, he may be able to convince the demon to play another game he is more skilled at instead.

»Amina Vivaldi is a 20 elven priestess sent away at a young age. However once she is assigned with the task of cleaning up the temple within the night she soon find strange happenings. Untouched vases falling, candles being snuffed out as soon as she ignites them, but it's only when she sees strange beings, that are moving so quickly they are naught but flickers, does she bring it to attention.

»Aranai Rasaayan is a 18 year old tiefling. They work within a potion shop they inherited from their late grandmother and intends to save up enough money to study alchemy in university. Yet meanwhile they need to deal with the strange people and large demand at the heart of the capital. They could really do with some help right now. Or they might find a particularly unusual customer. (I haven't decided on their gender yet.)

»Inaari Vi-kaivos is a 30 year old elf. He has recently been hired by a tavernkeeper, who suspects the tavern they are competing with may be selling narcotics, and the police they consulted aren't acting on suspicion alone. So he has decided to venture forward, booking a room for 7 days. Keeping a close eye on the staff and his fellow guests.

Hello, I am Redfork2000! I'm interested in starting a roleplay with you, and I think I have a unique idea to try out that may fit with your preferences. You said to reply to the thread, so here it is:

You really like historical settings,as far as I can see. For the most part I'm not really that into historical settings, but there is one thing that I believe could provide a unique twist: Time travel. What is my idea? Your main character would be someone who lives during the Victorian Era, say, late 1800's or something among those lines. They're going through their day like usual, when they happen to counter someone who is oddly dressed, speaks very differently, and doesn't have any idea of where he is.

For context, my character would be a time traveler from a future time period who somehow ended up in the Victorian Era, and doesn't have anyway to go back to his own time period. He encounters your character, and well, the roleplay takes off. There's many things that can happen from here on. Perhaps your character helps mine accomodate to how life works in this time period, shows them how to behave, how to speak like them, so they don't stick out like a sore thumb. Romance can occur if we have male and female, since that's the only pairing I'm comfortable doing romance with.

It seems pretty basic and vague right now, but that's kind of the point. If you're interested, I'd like if we can develop this idea further together.

I’m VERY interested in Aranai, and would be fine with either gender. My character I’m interested in using can bring things to life as long as they’re in the ground. This started off as a green thumb until she started accidentally bringing beings to life that were hopelessly indebted to her. I’d like to have one of the figures that she brought to life come and ask for some potions.

Should you want a potentially romantic subplot, I recommend you choose a gender, otherwise I'll leave it a coin toss. He or she will behave the same no matter which gender you choose however, another thing I'd like to mention is the setting. A more Victorian setting will have a higher variety in potion creation using the better understanding of chemistry, yet they will be slightly less fantastical, whereas an older setting will have the inverse. Slightly less variety in potion creation and more fantastical potions.

As for how he travelled back in time, I'm thinking he might've done so by accident. Perhaps he was a lab assistant for a scientist who was working on a time machine, and somehow activated the machine by accident and got sent back in time. As for what technology he brings with him, it will depend on whether his time period of origin is modern day or a bit into the future. In either case he'd probably have his cellphone on him, though it probably won't do much for him in that time period. If he's from the future there's a possibility of bringing one or two sci-fi tools along with him, but if you don't want that he can just bring his cellphone with him. I'm open to different options. If you want I could send you a PM to discuss this idea further. In any case, the entire roleplay will take place in the Victorian Era.

I would much prefer for any planning to take place in the thread, but with the current suggestions I'd have to say no. 2100 sounds rather early. I was thinking perhaps sometime within the 2300's, and I'm not too big of a fan on inventing time travel accidentally.

2300's is also very possible, and I never said time travel was invented accidentally. My character would work for a scientist who made a time machine, and my character would've activated it by accident. He didn't invent it. What I said previously is mostly just a suggestion, because I wanted to give you an answer, but in reality I'm open to any suggestions or ideas you may have. So if you want to change some things, I'm up for planning it. Are you sure you don't want a PM? We could end up filling this thread up otherwise.
