Industrial Lace
Searching for the true path
Hello there, I'm Industrial Lace (but you can just call me Lace). I personally love detIailed rps, but I can settle with casual. I usually do para-multi para and honestly I would appreciate the same for whomever decides to answer this.
Here are a couple of the things I like to see in rps:
-Few grammar mistakes. I personally will use my tablet or smart phone far more than my work computer (which is at work). So there are times I type too fast or the like and a few letters are eaten. It happens, it's ok; but it's still legible and I'm not banking on the fact that I am not using a computer as an excuse. Sometimes I miss stuff. What I cannot stand is chat speak used outside of a situation where chat speak is best. I.e. character A texts character B: "wut up m8?" That is a situation that is perfectly fine, not with the other form of prose.
-Patience. I have my job and even though I am mostly a social hermit; I do have things I would like to do. (like a few art groups in DA that I am invested in). I am a frequent checker; minimum is checking once a day or every two days if something happens.
-Tell me if there's a situation. You have finals? Good luck, study or I can try and help you study. You're going out of town? Have fun. You're sick? Keep hydrated and get better. I won't appreciate if people suddenly go awol on me for no reason. I've had that done countless times before and I am tired of it.
-OOC conversations. Talk to me out of the rp. I love getting to know people. I do tend to be a bit of a scatterbrain; and I have a bit of a crude/dark sense of humor. SOOOOO tread lightly if you don't like that.
-Partnership. To me rp is where two creative minds battle it out into wits and adventures they themselves created. It takes two to tango, and I do expect there to be a sharing of opinions. If only one people has all the ideas and answers....it would be easier to write the story by themselves than invest it with another person.
-Para and Multi-Para. I refuse to do one liners. Point blank. So I refuse to rp with anyone who cannot at least do Para rp. It doesn't move the direction of the story and it's a bit of a one trick pony.
Topics I love:
-MERMAIDS
-MAGICAL GIRLS (Sailor Moon/Tokyo Mew Mew/Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne should come to mind)
*Note: while I love the ever-living shit out of Magical girls (boys and whatever else) I am not that big of a fan in fandom rp unless it's along the lines of an oc sailor senshi. An example would be that in deviantart; I am in a group called Constellation Senshi. As the name implies the 'verse' is Sailor Moon and the senshi are all based off of Constellations. We don't touch the original storyline, have canon character x fan character pairing. We use the universe the Sailor Scouts are in.
On another note I LOVE ORIGINAL IDEA MAGICAL GIRL GENRE STUFF! I'm not lying, I live for original concepts and new universes for OC magical girls.*
-FANTASY
-PARANORMAL FANTASY (to me they are different. You don't have cryptids in LotR)
-ROMANCE! I am the biggest sap and I adore romance. Especially when it's not the whole sappy love story thing. Fight, tease each other senseless, have the broody guy who hates the world fall for a woman who won't put up with his shit and have him destroy anyone who could put any harm to her. I will ship strong, well rounded and complex romances until I die.
Preferences:
-I am comfortable playing both male and females. I tend to lean on females a bit more, but I can quickly adapt. (mostly because I suck at drawing men )
- Not good at horror or gore....and I am a chicken. So that isn't my forte, look for someone else please.
- Spaces between paragraphs. I have a lovely friend who multi-para's well....but for the love of all holy he cannot place spaces in his paragraphs. He just indents and calls it a days work. Please don't do this.
What I'm looking for is someone I can start an rp with. We can both try and come up with something and I am open to ideas. Hope to hear from you soon.
Open to 1x1 and Groups.
I think that's it, if you have other questions don't hesitate to tell me. I'm still trying to figure out the PM system here. (Especially on mobile)
