Hello!
I'm currently searching for one or two more people to do 1x1 RPs with.
I'll warn you upfront, I am very picky. I apologize. I'm easy to get along with, and I swear I'm not a bitch. However, I'm incredibly picky about who I'll RP with.
A bit about myself and my preferences:
I consider myself to be literate. My posts are generally between 7-20 paragraphs long. It greatly depends upon how much my partner is willing to give me to respond to.
I really appreciate longer posts that move the story forward. I lose interest very quickly if I'm the only one trying to further the progression of the RP.
I work from home, so I'm usually on. (Although I'm a patient person, and have no problems with people who don't have my kind of freedom.)
I really prefer RPs with some realistic aspects to it. So, I'm perfectly fine with incorporating super powers, or supernatural creatures, but I prefer that things are set for the most part in the real world.
I also greatly enjoy slice of life RPs.
I absolutely will not do pairings. I don't have a problem with romance being involved in an RP, but if that's going to be the case, I prefer for it to develop naturally.
I create A LOT of side characters. (I currently have an RP that's been going for several months. In said RP, I have 32 characters. I find that it spices things up a bit, and make it so that downtime doesn't really happen unless it furthers the story. Granted, a vast majority of these characters only appear a handful of times throughout the RP. However, about 13 of them are commonly used.)
I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to period RPs. If we're doing something set in 1800 and my partner is still talking as though it's 2015, I take issue with it, and generally drop the RP.
I cannot stand it when people take on an RP that revolves around a certain topic and have NO workable knowledge about said topic. Or when they make their responses very unrealistic. (Examples: I once did a foster care RP in which my partner's foster children arrived at the foster home without a social worker. I also once did an abduction RP in which my partner's character (the abductee) seemed very eager to progress whatever horrors awaited her.)
I tend to lean to the darker side of things. I can definitely do happy, but my characters are usually a little nitty-gritty.
I have a few ideas, if you'd like to spitball with me, let me know.
Have a good day.
