Welcome in.
A little about me:
You can call me ebb.
I'm 20.
I live in a major city in the pacific northwest.
I'm looking for a handful of people to write some stories with.
Emphasis on handful. I don't want to take on 20 RPs and get overwhelmed.
I'll be starting these slowly. Patient partners only please.
I typically reply less often for 1x1's than I do group RPs.
You can expect one to five responses a week (or more, if I really get into it).
This is because:
I work 40+ hours a week at a coffee shop version of a gay bar. I love it.
I'm a long distance runner. This eats time. I can be AWOL for hours at a time.
I also divert time to making art, I'm going to school in september to be a graphic designer.
You can see my art here.
A little about what I'm looking for:
Someone who can write a few paragraphs comfortably. No one liners.
Someone who can contribute to the story, I like to discuss the plot.
We need to have goals and plot devices.
Especially with slice of life, I really don't enjoy it when there's no direction or drama.
If we're doing a darker theme, I'd like you to be 18+
Romance wise: I'm pansexual in real life, so fxm, mxm, fxf and relationships including nonbinary or transgender characters are all good by me.
I might reuse characters from previous RPs.
If there are multiple people interested in one idea, I might create a small group instead of having multiples of the same plot.
There doesn't have to be romance.
If you're interested, PM me or message me here. I'll be closing this as soon as I get a few people on board.
Without further ado:
In a decrepit, 'mad max' inspired setting, two rivals fall for the same powerful figurehead. They send love letters to, worship, and are entirely obsessed with this figurehead. As competitors, they hate one another. In transit, or on the way to a battlefield, they are abandoned or otherwise stranded in unfamiliar land. Both fueled by love for their leader, they team up to traverse the colorful cities and landscapes they encounter, while trying to not snap and kill each other. The point of this RP is exploration, but with an end goal in mind (reaching the city their leader is located at). I would love to build bizarre, creative cities and people for them to encounter.
There could be fantasy elements to this in terms of weird species and bizarre technology. It would be interesting to see each city have a theme, and a certain test for our characters. I'm open to input and change to this initial idea, but it would also be good to see our characters be polar opposites. One disciplined, "blue blood" type, and one impulsive "rough around the edges" type. I wasn't intending romance for this plot, but I'm open to trying it.
A witch/warlock has been spending years trying to cheat the system with a little spell. Not that successful as a witch/warlock, they have to work dead end jobs to make ends meet. In a shitty relationship, they fail to see a light at the end of the tunnel. One morning, they get into a fight with their significant other, and accidentally turn them into an atm that spits out money in huge amounts. They quit their day job and buy a mansion, taking baths in champagne and hosting huge parties.
At one of these events, another witch/warlock shows up. They like to play by the rules. Brought up in a strict family that has been studying magic for generations, they follow a careful list of moral rules. Witch/warlock B used to know witch/warlock A, and they know something's up. Before they can step in, both of them end up in a room with a dangerous entity. With the clothes off their backs and $200,00, the two are forced to load up a van and hit the road. They've both been marked and have no choice but run for their lives.
The goal of this RP is both exploration and survival. It would be cool to see them hit up a variety of cities and fight off bizarre fantasy creatures on the streets of modern towns. The end goal would to have them reach a destination where the main villain lives. Defeat them, and they could go back to their normal lives (and another story arch).
A punk and a jock meet at a party. It's pretty normal, until both decide to try a new drug that a mutual friend provided. Within the hour, both are tripping balls. They stumble out of the party, and things get even weirder for them. They find a place under the stars, in the dewey grass, to take a breather. They see giants floating in the sky, and the grass is pink. They look back, and the house doesn't exist anymore.
I want this to be like an "alice in wonderland" idea. Instead of just hallucinating everything, the two really get transported to a weird universe where nothing makes sense. The end goal for this RP is to have the two either survive or perish in the alternate universe. If they do make it out, they'd share an unlikely bond, and we could carry that bond into another story arch.
Characters A and B have been friends since birth. Character A, over the years, has been through some rough situations, relationship, and times in general. Throughout it all, character B has been giving unconditional love and support.
So when character A kills their partner and throws them into a river, character B is there to help tie rocks to the body.
Things are looking grim, it's only a matter of time before they caught.
But then... the world ends?
People begin vomiting, fevering, and eventually perish. A disease resistant to antibiotics had developed in the cesspool of factory farming, contaminating meat with an untreatable disease.
A few years back, the two were strapped for cash and underwent a clinical trail of a vaccine. This vaccine saved their lives. Living in a barren world with few survivors, character B will have to battle with the decision of staying with character A, or leave them stranded in the world. Character A doesn't take the apocalypse very well, and the same urges that led them to kill their partner develop into dangerous behaviors. Will their friendship survive the test, or will they be alone for the end of the world?
Note: if you decide to play character A, please keep in mind that they'll be acting illogically. This won't be "cute" or "endearing".
