Ahoy!
It is the time of treasures, skull and crossbones. Pirates roam the sea like
wolves in the forest. Raiding, killing and stealing anything and anyone they
want. Port Royale, St. Mary's Island and Tortuga are some of the well known
pirate strongholds. There they exploit the riches and other treasures stolen.
Rum and women is what taverns usually provide and what the they spend
their pieces on. No body or place is safe. The warning spreads:
Beware of the sea wolves.
Since the late 17th century, the population of British in the Mosquito Bay
began increasing. The capital, Sandy Bay, intrigued many nobles with its
warm weather, white sand and turquoise water. The pirates roaming
around noticed the number of british ships and the route became a hot
spot for pirates to gain riches. The route became more dangerous and
harder for the british to cross by. Which is why on May of 1708, a lone
majestic ship with white sails and noble family flags was expected by a
group of pirates in their ship not too far away. They had spent their
money for the past month in several taverns and set out a week ago in
search of another ship to raid. And they had just found their treasure.
Clothes
Elizabeth Percy sighed as she yet again closed her locket with the picture of her fiance inside. She was seated on the master bedroom in the boat, seated on the baby blue daybed she had brought with her from england. It was one month since she had boarded the ship and still no sign of touching land. She didn't feel particularly excited in the first place about getting married, but having to be stucked in a boat for a month without any company but some sailors didn't help the case. Her fiance, Duke John Campbell, and her father were already waiting for her in Sandy Bay. If it weren't for the wedding taking place, Elizabeth would be thrilled about going to the Caribbean, where she would be surrounded by so many new interesting new things. She began thinking of what she would do when she arrived at the bay but a sudden noise broke her train of thought.
There was a loud BOOM followed by a CRASH were heard. Most of the screams shouted were muffled by the walls of Elizabeths chamber, but she heard one pretty clearly. Pirates. She stood from her couch and paced around her room nervously. There weren't many people on the boat, there were very few soldiers. It wasn't too long before she heard jubilant shouts that she didn't recognize. Not knowing what else to do, Elizabeth began looking for a place to hide. But it was too late already. Heavy footsteps were inching near rapidly and the door was slammed open. Elizabeth cowered back in fear. She grabbed her fan and pointed it towards her intruder, her arms shaking.
