Every year, the fourteen year olds of Aria are sorted into different professions: scribes, healers, blacksmiths, cooks and bakers, merchants, soldiers, kings guard, and the most elite job?
Dragon Riders. The staple of Aria. Their military is led by the dragon riders and only 50 first years are chosen each year. These young teens will get the chance to meet the dragons who are open to bonding and get chosen. Many first years are killed during this ceremony when they try to get too close and are rejected and many die after that with only half of the first years surviving to their second. If a student is not chosen by a dragon then they can try again the following year.
Y/C is one of those dragons. Their rider was killed two years ago and have since lost their magic. Dragons need to bond with a rider to gain access to their magic and their riders can use the same magic through the bond. All riders can do small magic like minor telekinetics (nothing bigger then what they could physically big up) or very minor pyrokinetics but each dragon has one very powerful magical ability. What your characters is will be up to you.
My character is named is Freda “Freddie” Wyrm. Her parents both died as heroic dragon riders but Freddie is small and not skilled in combat. She is as sharp as a wit so she was hoping for the healers or the scribe academies but instead her letter is to the dragon riding academy.
Freddie is sure she is going to be killed during the choosing but instead is chosen by your character to be their rider.
{So, to start out I am looking for someone who can world build a bit with me and is able to play NPCs.
The only power that i am not allowing is shapeshifting.
Semi advance, 2+ paragraphs and that is non-negotiable.
