Say 'Hi' to the old man!

Hello. My name is Sukakun and I'm a RP-holic. I've been RPing since.. around 1996. Pencil-paper, MMO, chat service.. you name it, I've done it.. with the exception of LARPing.

Oh. I'm old. Like in the vicinity of 30. But I still like going on these little fanciful adventures. I hope we can RP together soon!

Hi, Sukakun! 1996, wow...that's a long time. It's actually pretty awesome, in fact.

Anyhow, it's really cool that you've maintained this kind of creativity for so long. See you around. ^^

There were chatroom sites waaayyy back in the day I went to. Like old post-and-refresh ones. Those were my roots.

They were just chat rooms. Simple as that. Just.. where people came together to RP. I remember in one, you could make a huge number of profiles under one handle, and the text box had a drop-down where you chose which profile to post under. So it was very possible to run multiple RPs at once, without getting things mixed up. O.o

Wowwww, it almost feels like you're talking about something that existed in an entirely different universe (maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but still). The times have really changed...Say, was it as "uncool" for people--especially boys--to roleplay back then as it is now? My brother likes roleplaying, but he can't even bring himself to say the word "roleplay" without getting really agitated and embarrassed about it.

I flew it on a flag, practically, in high school. We had to do 'accelerated reading' during my sophomore class, and I was reading Robert Jordan instead of the 130-page novels that they wanted. And my binders were covered in Magic: the Gathering cards.

Indeed I have! I'm into a lot of geeky things, too. I graduated from university in 2009, a degree in Business Management.

Ahh, cool! Everyone always thinks people who're into geeky things are uneducated and dumb, so it's nice to see a living contradiction of that. ^^ Hmm, you probably go to hobby shops, right? Where people can play Warhammar 40k and Magic: the Gathering and stuff like that.

Actually, I haven't gone to place like that in a long time. Most of what I do is off of PDFs and amongst friends, or in the context of an MMO.

Greetings dear senior. You are the most intriguing older role player I've come across in awhile. I hope you have fun^^
