SAVIORS OF HUMANITY
Nobody knew where they came from, some say they've always been waiting in the shadows for the perfect time to strike others say they were sent by God to punish the sinners. In the year 2030, monstrous beasts with a taste for human flesh appeared. Humans went from being apex predators to being pushed to the brink of extinction. In a last-ditch effort, the government made a barrier, and those who were considered undesirable were left for dead.
It's been twenty years since the beasts showed up and not much has changed they roam the earth freely whilst humanity is forced to cower behind barriers and walls. The beasts seem to be mutating and the walls and barriers are no longer enough to hold them back. For that reason the S.O.H association was created, it consists of highly trained humans whose job is to exterminate these creatures and win back earth.
⚔Strikers ⚔
They spend most of their time on the frontlines destroying the beasts. They are very skilled fighters and tend to be very resilient and strongwilled. This is one of the most dangerous as they come face to face with the monster almost on a daily basis. The chance of survival for strikers is low and most don't make a year.
The type of beasts strikers are expected to kill depends on their ranks.
Rank 1-2: are sent to kill S class and A class beats. Strikers who are rank 1-2 have a lot of experience and have been members of S.O.H for quite some time. They tend to be in their late twenties to early thirties. (4 spots)
Rank 3-4: are sent to kill B class and C class beasts. They tend to be very experienced however they are just not good enough to be in rank 1-2. There are some who choose to remain in this rank as they view it as being safer than rank 1-2. Members of this rank are of varying ages, it consists of those in their early twenties, late twenties, and early thirties. (6 spots)
Rank 5-6: are sent to kill D class and E class beasts. They tend to be inexperienced and fresh out of the academy. They don't tend to live very long due to how inexperienced they are. Members of this rank tend to 19-21. (unlimited spots)
🛡 Defenders 🛡
It typically consists of those who thought being a striker was too dangerous or those that weren't strong enough to be strikers. They protect the different barriers and walls. When the barriers and walls are being attacked they are expected to defend them until the strikers arrive. This is why their job is dangerous, the higher the beast's rank the greater the danger.
Rank 1-2: protect the barrier of Eden where the upper class resides. They are very skilled fighters and their strength is equivalent to the strength of rank 2-3 strikers. (4 spots)
Rank 3-4: protect the wall of Alexandra where the middle-class people reside. They aren't as skilled as the fighters of rank 1-2 but they can hold their own against the beasts. (6 spots)
Rank 5-6: protect the wall of Cataleya where the poor people reside. Out of all the walls, this is the weakest and for that reason, many defenders are stationed here. Members of this rank tend to be fresh out of the Academy. (unlimited spots)
Healers
There are a variety of healers each with its own role. They are vital to the success of missions.
Poison Specialists:
They are healers who spend years studying the anatomy of captured beasts to craft poisons that can kill them quickly or inhibit some of their abilities. They spend some of their time in the lab crafting new poisons, most of the time they are on the frontline utilizing their poisons. Because there may be cases where they are required to be on the frontline they have to have some sort of combat background. (3 spots)
Emergency Medicine Healers:
This is one of the most dangerous fields a healer can specialize in as they are required to be on the frontlines aiding injured strikers or scouts. Just like poison specialists they are also required to have some sort of combat skills.
Surgical Healers:
They do not spend any time on the front lines out of all the healing specialties this is one of the safest. After emergency medicine healers ensure that the person is stable enough they are transferred over to the surgical healers who complete the job.
Trainees:
They are healers who are fresh out of the academy and don't yet have a specialty. Those who wish to be poison specialists or emergency medicine healers will have to go on the frontline or remain in the lab and assists wherever they can. Those who wish to be surgical healers will train directly under a full-fledged surgical healer.
Scouts
This is by far the most dangerous job as they travel to uncharted territory to try and see what land they can reclaim for humanity. Scouts have one of the most important jobs and they normally travel in groups consisting of at least ten people.
The scouting group consists of:
Leader:
The leader of the group usually experienced, skilled with weapons, and is a combat specialist.
(1 spot)
Co-leader:
In case the leader is incapacitated they'll take the lead to ensure the mission is completed.
(1 spot)
Emergency Medicine Healers:
The scouting group has two emergency medicine healers that heal injured team members. (2 spots)
Scouts:
They follow the orders of the leader, they need to be agile, flexible, and able to adapt to different environments. (6 spots).
Trainees:
They are fresh out of the academy and have recently joined the group. (unlimited spots).
Humans reside in different areas:
Those who are members of the upper class or those who are high-ranking members of S.O.H live in Eden. All members of the scouting group when they are not out on missions reside in Eden, this is to reward them. The residents of Eden have access to various livestock, clean water, and electricity. Out of all the areas to live in Eden is by far the best.
Middle-class members of society, trainees, and defenders & strikers who are ranked 4-6 reside in Alexandria. Unlike Eden, Alexandria is surrounded by a tall wall of steel. The residents of Alexandria only have access to livestock (pig and chicken only), clean water, and electricity, they do have some power outages occasionally.
Poor people, homeless people, disabled people, and a lot of the elderly reside in Cataleya. Similarly to Alexandria, it is surrounded by a wall the only difference is that their wall is made out of bricks. The residents of Cataleya do not have access to livestock they have to take whatever scraps they receive from Alexandria, the water they receive is slightly polluted at times, and they experience frequent electricity cuts. The people here are miserable and unhappy but know there isn't much they can do about it.
S.O.H
Created by the government to defend the citizens against the beasts, the S.O.H consists of humans who are recruited from the age of 15-16 and trains for 4-5 years.
ACADEMY:
It consists of teenagers age and young adults from age 15-21. Citizens are recruited from all the different territories from as young as 15. A lot of their recruits come from Cataleya and Alexandria as they are desperate to escape poverty or improve the status in society. The academy has two main programs:
Medicine:
Those who want to become healers go into this field.
Defense & Offense:
It for those who want to become a striker, defender, or scout.
MONSTERS:
The monsters come in all different shapes and sizes. Some even have special abilities such as elongated claws, wings, heightened senses, multiple limbs, etc. Monsters are divided into classes.
Class S:
These monsters are more resilient than the others. They tend to have a variety of strengths and unlike the lower-level monsters, they do not seem to be mindless and can actually communicate with humans. Not many survive encounters with them. They lead the pack and never travel without lower-level monsters surrounding them.
Class A:
Similar to the Class S monsters they are more resilient but are not as strong or as large. They are still very dangerous due to their quick reflexes, heighten senses, and strength.
Class B:
They tend to follow Class A and Class S monsters. Class B monsters are known for their speed and agility they tend to be smaller than Class C monsters but what they lack in size they make up for in their agility, speed, and craftiness.
Class C:
They are known for their brute strength but they are not as strategic as Class A and Class B monsters. Although not as strategic they are not as mindless as Class D and E monsters.
Class D:
They rely on their instincts which causes them to pounce on any human they see, they tend to travel in large packs which is why they can easily overpower humans. Although not as strong and fast as the other groups their ability to work with each other makes them dangerous.
Class E:
They are blind mindless creatures who rely on their sense of smell and hearing to hunt their prey. They are very savage and will not hesitate to attack a human.
Technology:
Guns:
Advances in technology brought about the change in weaponry. There are now guns with bullets that explode on impact. Guns that shot heavy beams of energy that are able to disintegrate the monsters. Laser gun that shot heavy beams of lasers.
Swords:
Made with a stronger material they are practically indestructible and are able to cut through things like steel, rocks, beasts, etc.
Bow and Arrow:
Some use arrows that explode on impacts, other use arrows that contain a high amount of energy and are able to disintegrate the beasts when it makes contact with them.
Body Parts:
Some alter their bodies so that their weapons become part of them.
Uniform:
Whilst on duty members of S.O.H are required to wear high-tech suits. The suits are bulletproof, fireproof, can enable the user to fly (only to be used in cases of emergency), resistant to some attacks, can control the user body temperature, etc. They are also required to wear shoes that are altered to give them extra speed.
**If you have any ideas for more technology that can be included in the rp you can always message me**
Premise
The roleplay will follow characters who are a part of S.O.H. Character's storylines will differ base don't the role they have, the relationships they form, and the choices they make. Characters who are a part of S.O.H will go on missions, fight beasts, and defend the citizens against danger.
You can also create characters who are just citizens, or members of the Academy but they may not get as much focus as the characters who are part of S.O.H. Characters who are a part of the Academy will spend their days training in the field they plan to go into. Characters who are civilians will have different roles depending on where they reside.
The choices your characters make do matter. As the roleplay continues the state humanity is in will either worsen or improve. This depends on how well the characters do. Characters can also die based on the decisions they make but before I kill off any character I'll check with the character's creator to ensure if it is okay with them to kill the character off.
Rules:
This roleplay has enough roles so that everyone can take part in it, however, there some roles that have limited spots. For roles with limited spots I'll choose the character I think will fit the role best.
I will be roleplaying as most of the NPCs this included the monsters, teachers of the academy, the leader of S.O.H, the government, etc. If there is an NPC role you would like just message me and we can discuss it.
I expect everybody to be respectful of each other, I want this rp to be a fun space where we can all feel comfortable expressing ourselves.
No godmodding, you wouldn't like it if someone did it to you so don't do it to others.
Be active, I understand that life gets busy and we all have plans but it would be greatly appreciated if you can post once or twice a week.
If you are unable to post for a while please try to tell me beforehand.
I would like for each post to be at least 1 paragraph long.
I've been thinking about this one for a while I was wondering how much of you would be interested. If you have questions you can always message me.
