Personality: She's always kind and loyal to her friends, but because of her powers she tends to self isolate, in fear of accidentally hurting or embarrassing someone and is also a bit paranoid herself.

Abilities: Bad luck powers, basically (yes, inspired by Jinx but I don’t care). So, probability manipulation for the worse to whomever it‘s directed to, but she can’t manipulate the body failing. Like, for example, she can make the person have a really bad day that might end them up in a coma (by them getting hit in the head with something or falling from somewhere because they slipped), but can’t give them heart failure. It's also pretty unpredictable and her powers often also go against herself and whoever is around her (as long as she doesn't have them under control yet)

Likes: singing, painting, her friends, her powers when she doesn't dislike them, reading, music, videogames

Dislikes: math, her powers at times, loud noises and surprises that startle her (because of her powers acting up), being helpless - her powers aren't the most powerful, but not useless, but she sometimes feels like she is.

Backstory:
Kiera was born to two loving parents on the outskirts of the city where she lived a very regular childhood. She went to school, was never too popular, but had a few close friends - just how she liked it. Her life couldn’t have been any better.

Until one night. She was actually asleep and didn’t notice anything at first. Not even that her eye color changed from blue to gold (the color of her hexes). She got up like every regular day to go to school and started to get ready. But it all started with her shirt being inside out, so she had to take it off, turn it the right way around and then back on. Without giving it much thought she continued - tripping over her own feet at the top of the stairs. Her parents obviously came to check what was going on, so because of that Kiera‘s breakfast got burnt in the pan and her father accidentally knocked over her glass of orange juice when he got up.

At this point it was now too late for breakfast, so she ran to the bus stop to catch the bus, when it suddenly started raining, drenching her completely to her underwear. That’s also the point she started wondering what was going on. When the bus then also never showed up, she decided to walk to school now (since both of her parents were at work now) to figure out later that one of the tires had a hole and that they hadn’t found a replacement in time. That morning she made it to school, about 2 hours late, as that had only been the beginning, and dripping with rain, leaving a trail of water behind her, and when she turned to sit down on her chair, one of the legs broke and she face planted onto the floor.

The rest of the day went on in that fashion and the next day she couldn’t go to school, because on top of it all she also caught the flu, though she didn't mind that, as this gave her about a week to figure out how to get it a bit under control, and since it was close to the summer break, she didn't miss much. (Maybe during the break she goes hiking with a few friends in the area of the school and her bad luck powers cause her to miss a step and somehow end up at the school - up for debate and discussion)

Abilities: the classics - super-strength, immortality, fast regeneration, heightened senses (in her case hearing), shapeshifting (she can turn into a bat), and she's learning how to dreamwalk (enter people's dreams, though usually she picks the fun ones or to help others with nightmares) (all of the abilities are also up for discussion)

Likes: watching humans/seeing their progress, history, technology (especially netflix), today's day and age, garlic (she can't eat it, but she'd love to try it), fast food

Backstory: Octavia was born a normal human being. She knows she also had a different name then, but doesn't remember it. What she does remember was being really sick, almost dying and then this weird doctor showing up, and then waking up a few days later in his house, feeling a lot better, but also a lot different. She was also the eighth child in his "family", which is why he had now renamed her Octavia. She spent a few years with the doctor and the others, but wanted to see more, so she convinced "her father" to let her go to school, and he chose this one.

Reason for attending Salvatore: she's been there for centuries now, and mostly to do and see more than just sit around a house all day

On the surface she comes across as aloof yet bubbly, liberally using sarcasm, humor and dry wit often as a defensive measure to mask how she is truly feeling however given their tone it can be difficult to notice. Morally she finds herself with a clear sense of right and wrong with boundaries but is not above being flexible on occasion. She takes comfort and pride in her individuality, striving to not have herself defined or controlled by others to the point of stubbornness at times. Juniper-Dawn herself has been quite evasive with giving direct answers at times, commonly using half-truths or posing Hypotheticals and rhetorical questions under the guise of an answer to intentionally create misunderstandings or false assumptions. Still, regardless of all of this, she is a good person at heart as much as she refuses to admit such, deflecting compliments or thanks under the guise as if it was nothing or just a passing fancy.

Backstory:
An unbound Djinn instead bound to their own body. Her freedom was granted by the twisting of a final wish made by her mother's last master. Taking advantage of a lack of specifics of Djinn wishes would permanently free Juniper-Dawn from her original vessel instead. The restriction of being unable to use their powers to free them only applies to themselves and not other Djinn, however, this was not anticipated due to it being unexpected for Djinn to be selfless.

With her newfound freedom, she would take her mothers vessel and go out into the world to enjoy it on her own terms, and this would eventually lead her to the school.

From a young age Telen has always been curious, asking a lot of questions and getting into a lot of trouble as he scoured every inch of Avalon looking for adventure. This insatiable hunt for knowledge has continued with Telen to this current day, which is part of the reason he accepted attending the boarding school. However, Telen can also get bored easily and becomes mischievous when feeling like that. Most of his siblings have had him pull a prank on them at least once in their lives, as Telen loves coming up with clever ways to mess with people.

While Telen does present an air of confidence as he explores the world, in truth he also bears great fear. His near death encounter with mage hunters has left him with some amount of fear of the outside world. Also his lack of control with his lightning magic has led to him to avoid using it for fear of accidentally harming someone. Telen also fears letting down his parents, as he tries to make something of himself to them. The only problem is that is that he is competing with over a hundred siblings.

Telen also views it as the responsibility of the Fey to watch over mankind. As an older race, the Fey are much wiser and stronger, so Telen thinks that they should guide the humans. Telen’s main concern when he visited the human world was how they were treating the planet. Telen believes that the supernatural community has to step in and do something about the natural destruction. Of course he seems to be in a minority when it comes to this perspective.

Abilities:
Telen has all the usual Fey physiology powers. He is immortal as far as age and disease go, though he can still be killed in battle. Telen will age at the same rate as a human, though by the time he reaches his early thirties, his body will appear the same for the rest of his life. He is also faster than a human and has better reflexes. However, he is also less strong and durable as a human because of his dainty frame. The main visual giveaway that Telen isn’t human is his translucent green wings. While seemingly thin, Telen is able to fly with them for brief amounts of time. Also as a Fey, touching iron will cause his skin to burn. Even after removing the iron, it still takes a long time for the skin to heal.

Like most Fey, Telen was born with magic already in his being. The majority of this is illusion magic, the most common magic for Fey. Telen can create psychic illusions, crafting something in his mind, he can then project it to the physical realm. The illusions can be as elaborate as Telen forms them in his mind, but more complex constructs are harder to maintain. Telen will also often used an illusion to hide his wings, making him appear human. One weakness of these illusions is that Telen can’t make them physical. If someone were to try and touch an illusion, they would immediately find that it wasn’t solid, their hand passing through it.

Telen also has minor lightning magic, though he is far less trained in it. Currently he is able to shoot a bolt of electricity forward, though he has trouble aiming. Telen is also fearful of this power as he has accidentally hurt his siblings with it in the past. It is currently unknown just how strong Telen can make the bolt as he always holds back when he does use it.

Backstory:
Born the son of the Arch Fey royalty Oberon and Titania, Telen would be just one of over a hundred children, all born of the pairing of the immortal Fey lords. Currently the youngest child of Oberon and Titania, Telen would spend his early years on the mystical island of Avalon alongside many of his siblings, learning the basics of Fey culture. The magical beings who called the island home would be blissfully unaware of the changes going on in the outside world, as technology advanced and terrible wars killed countless humans.

From a young age Telen would have wanderlust, wanting to see the world outside the hidden island he called home. This want, mixed with his burgeoning magical powers would cause Telen to start working on figuring out how to sneak off the shrouded isle of Avalon. Eventually Telen would find such a way to escape.

Sneaking into the castle where the body of King Arthur rested, Telen would discover a hidden library. In said library he found several journals belonging to the wizard Merlin, filled with his experiences over the years and magical incantations that he had developed. Telen would find a spell that opens the gate to the outside world and would immediately work on trying to perfect it.

It would take several months, but Telen would get the spell down. So one night he would sneak away to the coastline of Avalon, preparing the spell as he stole a boat. Then the fog that permanently surrounded Avalon would dissipate, allowing Telen to leave. After a few hours on open water, Telen would spot land.

Bringing his boat to a fishing village, Telen would use his illusion magic to make himself appear human. He would then interact with the locals, discovering that he was now in England. This excited Telen as he had been raised on stories of the English, though he would find these current English much different to those in the stories.

Wishing to see all there was to see in the outside world, Telen would hitch hike his way to London. Amazed by the city, Telen would find himself without any money and such couldn’t do much in the city. He would eventually resort to stealing, using his magic to beguile shop owners.

This would work for a few days, but Telen’s regular use of magic would attract attention. Mage hunters based in the city would become aware of Telen and immediately start hunting him. They would eventually corner him in a subway station, prepared to kill Telen. However fate would intervene when Oberon arrived and immediately killed the mage hunters with his powerful magic.

Very angry at his son for sneaking away, Oberon would drag Telen back to Avalon. Oberon’s anger would then be tempered by Titania, who saw that Telen wanted more than to just remain on Avalon. Deciding to at least train Telen for whenever next he goes to the wider world, Titania would put out a call for Merlin to come and train Telen.

However the wizard would never answer the call, having apparently disappeared, something he has done before. Still wishing for his son to do some learning, Oberon would hear of a boarding school for supernatural teens. Feeling it could be a good fit, Oberon told Telen that if he completed his schooling at the academy, then he would be allowed more free reign to go about the human world. Telen would immediately accept this agreement.

She is also often very thoughtful and reflective, especially of her own past mistakes, and tends to dwell on them a little too much at times.

Abilities:
She can shift into a tall werewolf with large teeth and claws, and she can shift into a normal wolf form as well. Thanks to the Egyptian side of her family, her wolf forms look like Jackals. She is acrobatic and can jump to high places, up to fifty feet in length. She also has heightened senses when it comes to hearing and smell, and she can communicate with wild wolves and jackals.

Dislikes:
Even though she is a werewolf, Jasmine hates violence and would rather talk things out. She also dislikes cabbage, math and being onstage as she is prone to terrible stage fright.

Backstory:
Jasmine was literally born into a family comprising of werewolves: her father hailed from Egypt where the werewolves looked like jackals, and her mother came from Japan were their appearance slightly resembles a fox despite being true werewolves. As the second child of the family, Jasmine was the baby and was always kept safe, if not by her parents then her older brother Kitsu. The family lived in Japan, but often went to visit relatives in Egypt, where the parents worked as Egyptologists for many years.

As much as she yearned to fit in with humans, her family were against it, since she was much different than normal folks. That did not deter her dreams, however, and many times Jasmine sneaked out from home to try and make humans friends...only for it to ultimately end in disaster.

At age 14, when she sneaked out one night while her brother and parents were fast asleep, she happened upon a guy her age that she instantly felt attraction towards. The two hit it off well enough and met in secret almost every night since. Six months later, Jasmine decided to reveal the truth about herself to the guy she liked, and at first he thought she was playing a joke on him. When she transformed before her crush, he immediately reacted with fear and repulsion, calling her a monster and screaming for her to get away from him. Heartbroken and angry with his words, she ended up killing him in blind rage, only to regret it very soon after.

To this day, his body was never found and he remains a missing person in Japan. The humans have no clue what became of him, but Jasmine kept all of that to herself out of shame and heartache. He did get a proper burial, though, she made sure of that.

When her parents found out, they were furious with her - she couldn't leave the house for any reason without her older brother, and measures were taken to keep her in her room such as sealing the windows to prevent them from opening. When she turned 16, two years after the incident, her parents decided to enroll her into Salvatore in order to keep her abilities in check, as well as to meet others like herself to befriend. Jasmine was relieved and afraid to leave home, but she had enough time to dwell on her mistakes and to learn from them. This time, she wanted to learn how to properly fit in with humans without giving away her true nature.

Reason for attending Salvatore: To make new friends in fellow supernatural folks, and to learn how to perfectly blend in with human society. But above all, to learn how to keep her werewolf abilities balanced and under control.

Backstory
Viridian had a normal childhood, living in a simple cottage surrounded by bountiful nature and away from the hustle & bustle of the city. Her family managed a humble farm, and she was the only child that would inherit the farmlands once she got old enough. The future seemed set for her, at least, until the day she turned 16. One moment she was about to blow her birthday cake candles out, and the next moment, she finds herself sitting on the kitchen floor amidst the house being turned upside down as her family was panicking. Looking at a broken mirror nearby, she sees that her once brown hair had turned pink, and that she had deer antlers on the top of her head.

She then remembers a story her late grandmother would tell her a bedtime story that would be passed down the generations in their family. The story recounts of how a benevolent soul would become a guardian for nature once that soul become of age, and often taking the form of a beautiful deer unlike any other. Viridian comes to the conclusion that this was the reasoning for her sudden departure from a normal human life, and decides to do her best to fulfill this new responsibility to the best of her ability.

Learning how to better control her transformation abilities as well as learning to utilize her abilities as a nature guardian according to her family's supposed prophecy.
