This is a letter you have recived. You may have received it a month ago, you may have recived it 4 years ago. Either way, you were accepted into Salem Witch's Institute, or SWI for short. Congratulations! It is difficult to get in for most witches and wizards. It requires a great amout of wealth and skill. Now the question is: will this be a good year for you and your classmates?

History:


In 1691, the school was built in a thick forest near a small town called Salem. It was originally a school for only witches (pureblood and muggleborn girls. There were 3 founders,

The Ministry isn't and never has been installed in USA, and Therfore never set any rules down regarding how magical folk should act around muggles. The following chaos known as the Salem witch trials ensued as two of the founders, Kyra and Reign, began to grow contempt for the muggles. They tried to scare the muggles away with cheap curses. Instead of peacefully sending them away, mass hysteria began. Many students and muggles alike were tried. Langaard convinced the two others to stop thier tactics and instead try to hide the school and the students. The closed the school to only pureblood students. Eventually, the founders died or left. The next headmaster opened the school to boys. Muggle born wizards were only allowed to attend the school after the battle of Hogwarts. This change was made by the current headmaster, Maureen Calisto.

That was 1998, it is now 2014. 
The setting:

The RP obviously takes place at Salem Witch's academy. The school is located in the Salem forest (which is much, much larger than the muggles belive.) There is a spell cast around a section of the forest making it so that no muggles can see or enter the hidden section in the forest.


A normal classroom:

In the same forest is a small market street (like Diagon alley, in the woods.) Called Sage's Hollow:

Houses:


The founders did create houses for the school, but only to organize the students. Eventually, however, the student in each house formed a clique with thier own. When each new class came in they don't choose thier house, but the older students end up influencing them and eventually turning them into the same kind of people they are. Usually.


Cat: a rebellious and fun loving group.


Stag: extremely normal and kind of mean group.


Fox: a reserved, calm, and shy group of people.
