The incident happened a year ago. He was declared Not Guilty. So why was this still a thing? Hachi broke his own rule; he looked at the eyes. Unlike Mizaki's, they were full of disdain. He noticed how she stepped in front of Pamela as if trying to protect her. Hachi knew what she thought, letting out a silent huff. She was one of those people. He looked to the floor for a second to collect his bearings, then lifting his head up with the usual smile. "Okay," he plainly said, "I guess I should be on my--" Another voice sprung up, one which brought every memory from this morning he had tried so hard to forget.
Mizaki asked who they were looking for, glancing up at Hachi before quickly looking away, ashamed or embarrassed, he didn't know. Hachi held in a sigh and forced a smile so much so that his jaw started to ache. He lost control at the notice boards, having blurted her name so quickly and irrationally... it hurt to think about. Two people stood beside him, each daring to make him remember. It was nauseating. Looking straight ahead where nobody stood, he quietly mumbled, "Just make it go away, just make it go away..." Hachi took a breath in through his nose, then answering Mizaki with, "Someone that looks like he stole something. Don't know what, though. Yuuto was very vague in what is was..."
He looked down the hallway, arms crossed and tapping his foot impatiently. Don't look at me like that. Hana's eyes were burnt into his memory, now. When he tried thinking differently, the scene at the notice boards would replace it. He could just leave without so much so as a goodbye; it would've made things easier. He was a loyal friend, though. Whatever Yuuto had lost, he didn't want to give up just for his own selfish reasons. The only calming thing he could do was repeatedly mutter as quietly as possible, "Just make it go away..."
