Mizaki was able to calm down as the boy reassured her, a small smile making its way to her lips again. "Well, I do prefer my friend groups to be small." she said, shrugging. She wasn't sure if that was the truth. Sure, she never felt the need to have more than a handfull of friends, but nowadays she had started to feel lonely. Mizaki had noticed Hachisuka's smile fade a little before returning to his face, causing her to wonder if he was all right. She didn't feel like this was the time and place to ask how he was holding up however, but she did make a mental note to keep an eye on him if she could.
She noticed how the crowd had started to move on, allowing for whoever hadn't yet checked the billboard to do so. Before he spoke up again, Mizaki noticed his smile had faltered once again. They didn't know each other so it would be weird of her to ask if he was okay, yet she couldn't really help herself. Just as he had finished talking, and she was sensing he was about to be on his way, she hesitantly reached out for his arm. "Are... are you alright? I'm sorry, it's not really my place to ask but... maybe I bumped into you a bit hard?" she wasn't sure what to ask and to be frank regretted this course of action straight away. It's not like she would have liked some stranger to go prying about how she was doing, and especially not this early in the morning.
Mizaki looked up at the boy, not sure how he would react. She expected him to brush it off and walk away. She felt as though she had made it rather awkward, but it was in her nature to check up on the people around her. Sometimes annoying them in the process. Not everyone appreciates being asked how they're doing, and it was something Mizaki had told herself in the past she need to work on. And yet here she was. She wanted to blame it on her lack of sleep, but even she knew she would have asked him either way.
