It's interesting for sure. The whole reformed hitman who's now a direct thorn in the side of the rest of the cast puts him in a semi-antagonistic role. But not so much that it should present any real problems, I don't think.

You've all completed your characters, so I'd say it's about time we got started! I will leave the RP open so anyone else looking to join has time to work on a character. But for now we'll kick things off proper!

I'll put together an introduction post for Nomiya stating where she is, what she's doing, and give some hints as to what's going to happen very soon in the story so you can prepare your own intro posts for your characters. Once my post goes up, you're free to get posting!

If you wish to interact with Nomiya, you are free to do so. She's just waiting on the Launch Pad for her Raid Team. Having said that, I have to inform everyone that since it was never arranged before hand, nobody else in the cast is a part of said Raid Team. So meeting her would be a friendly encounter rather than a "hey I'm coming with you" kind of interaction.

But fear not!

It's not necessary to go with her. While she deals with this exploratory mission the rest of you are free to deal with whatever business you wish at the same time she's off world. She will come back following the conclusion of her mission, and when she does she will be interactable once again.

If you would like to set up events for your characters, please let me know what you'd like to do and I will help arrange it!

Ill make a post in a bit when i have a moment, one thing that jumped out though....guess i missed a detail since was thinking Homeworld was Planet Vegeta.

Yep. The original canon material, including names, are not canon to this RP. So "Planet Vegeta" doesn't exist. Instead, I created a new name for the Saiyan Home World.
 
this looks interesting though i do have a few questions.
1. i see mention of frost demons but also see that there is not allowed multiple forms, if someone wanted to make a non saiyan character who is comparable to saiyan warriors post limit breaking or at the very least is capable of growth to a point that they don't fall into obscurity is that acceptable?
2. namekians without the dragon clan and syncing are pitifully weak. i mean piccolo and nail are the only two who have any real combat prowess to speak of and without syncing they are left in the dust. is it possible to reconsider this rule, as frieza has already shown that healers like dense can be easily dispatched first. though if its the potential for zenkai boosts that worries you i can see that as a good reason.
3. do i pm you idea's for races or put them here?

Hello there. Thank you for your questions.

1) This RP was designed to focus on Saiyans as part of the primary plot, but the story focuses on everyone, Saiyan or otherwise. All characters, regardless of race, will be relevant to the story of this RP even if it is the strength of the Saiyans which advances the plot.

And Frost Demons are already comparable. They just don't have the "suppression" transformations that Frieza's family did because they don't have the mutation which made the Frieza bloodline so insanely powerful from the get-go. Frieza even said in the film Resurrection F, "I've never trained a day in my life. There was never a need." While the movie events are not canon, I consider that line meaningful and so have implemented it into the story of this RP that Frost Demons, as a species, are powerful beings to be sure just like the Saiyans. Just no Frieza mutation for inhuman strength right off the bat. But if you play a Frost Demon, you'll already have the potential to keep up with the Saiyans and eventually achieve the Golden form (or whatever color you decide to make it since it's hinted that the user can control the color at will).

But for other non-Saiyan races, sadly no. Keeping up power wise just isn't happening. But it's not really necessary since the story focuses on much more than just combat. There's going to be exploration, inter-galactic diplomacy and intrigue, slice of life (potentially romance/marriage/children), and much, much more. The strength of the Saiyans and their ability to transform into Super Saiyans will incite new conflict that moves us forward through the plot. But the story offers so much more than just combat.

2) While I can understand the whole Dragon Clan and syncing removal to be something of a worry for Namekian fans, it's staying as is. Piccolo, while proving that syncing is a large power boost right away, has also proven that Namekians are also capable of extreme power progression through rigorous training. Between the Saiyan Saga and Frieza Saga, for instance, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu were able to defeat the Ginyu Force, (Recoom alone having a power well in excess of 50,000 at the time based on all information gathered). And Piccolo was able to take all three on at once with weighted clothing on after only having had a power in the 1,300-1,400 range before hand at the time of his death by the hands of Nappa. And he only spent about a week on that world training himself.

So again while I know the removal of the Dragon Clan and syncing can be concerning at first, Namekians are still a powerful race capable of training and advancing their powers to a great degree. This RP disregards the idea of the Dragon Clan meaning any and all Namekians can advance like Piccolo did. They might not be able to keep up beyond Super Saiyan 2 and above, at least not very well. But again, the story of this RP will not require them to keep up, power-wise. And many of the Namekian abilities and strengths as a species outside of combat will be of great benefit to the RP as a whole as well. For example we know they are great at cultivating trees and restoring environments which is a very profitable business in its own right. Being able to restore battered or damaged worlds to their former glory in a natural way which the Saiyans never could since their primary function is to wipe out indigenous life and clean the planet of old civilizations before selling it for profit. And that's just one random example off the top of my head how they can be relevant and interesting as characters in this RP beyond combat. But if you put your mind to it I'm certain you can come up with so much more that a Namekian character could do and accomplish in this RP.

thanks ill get a message to you in short order. your answers have helped me to narrow down my selection considerably.
 
So a couple things I need to mention before anything serious happens in the IC Posting for Saiyans!!

1) Anger

I absolutely must define anger in this RP not as a source of power, but a catalyst for potential and temporary power boosts.

Saiyans especially are prone to outbursts of rage because of a combination of their pride and natural aggression as a warrior race. During times when their tempers flare, depending on the urgency of the situation, their power could spike anywhere from a few percent above base to manifold over their base level.

However, these boosts are always temporary. Even when recovered afterwards, if recovery is even needed, there will be no Zenkai from an anger outburst on its own. For a Zenkai boost, damage must have been dealt before the power explosion. Otherwise the Saiyan's body will recognize its own power for what it is and will not activate the Zenkai boost.

2) Objects

This came up in a character that's being designed. Sharp objects are sharp objects. It doesn't matter how strong you are or how much Ki you have, your body is vulnerable to sharp objects like knives, sharp claws, etc. So if there's anyone who tries to pull a "knife blade bounced off because uber Power Level" then that's going to result in a warning. A knife flying at you is a knife flying at you. If the blade hits your skin, it's going to pierce it. No exceptions. Either you get out of its way, or you take the cut. Especailly if the blade/sharp object is empowered by Ki before it's thrown at you.

Oh...that kinda clashes with Nira then.....since Anger is not something she uses at all. You know the whole Zen thing. Though given the show....can a Ki burst not knock it off course? We have also seen even the weakest Saiyan who was on screen shrug off bullets to the head, or is that not cannon now?
 
Oh, one last thing!

Also, there are NO One-Hit Kill techniques in this RP unless it's being used on someone about your power level or weaker than you.

In the show we saw numerous times the hero's most powerful attacks used against their enemies, even when the enemies were stronger, and it blew holes through them or blew them to bits entirely. Well, no such luck in this RP thanks to the laws of physics and thermodynamics.

If you are using your most powerful technique in this RP, there won't be a big power multiplier attached to it. You can push your own power by maybe 50% of your base at best before you start damaging your body in this RP, meaning your strongest technique will only be at its best when used against those with power close to or less than your own. Someone with sufficient power above your own will either dodge or outright block the attack.

For example:

Nomiya's power is 20,050. If she tried using her strongest technique, the Scalpel, against Snow (whose power is 39,750), Snow would be able to put out one hand and basically just say "Nope, sorry sweetie." And the Scalpel would be tossed aside like it was nothing. Even if Nomiya pushed herself by 50%, adding about 10,025 to her base making her power 30,075, Snow would still block the attack with only minimal effort.

Your character's most powerful attacks in this RP are only as strong as they are, with about 50% of your base as a +/- zone. So if your power is close to or greater than your enemy's power, then you're good. But if their power is sufficiently beyond your own, prepare to be blocked and laughed at.

This is to prevent possible God-Modding and "last kill" stealing. I'll be sure to communicate who gets the final blow in bigger battles, but still I felt it prudent to relay this information to you all now.

Good questions.

It's not that anger really clashes with Nira. It's just that it's much harder for her to trigger for power boosts.

If you utilize your Ki to blow or deflect incoming projectiles off course, you're fine. But if it reaches you, you're gonna get cut.

So yeah, bullets gonna go right through yo' backside if you don't get out of the way.
 
Right...just seems alot changed compared to the show. Like very first meeting between Goku and Bulma when hes double digits at most, He tanks a bullet to the head from her.
Also id much rather Nira go a diffrent way than Anger due to how that clashes, so same effects diffrent path.

I don't remember you stating a official starting point for the Power Levels. May I ask what (in your opinion) is the highest & lowest power level you can have at the start of the RP ? Once I get this info I will create the character.

Hi there.

The highest power level I'll allow is an Elite level power.

Super Elite or higher is off limits. So let's say that an even 54,000 is the highest you can go, and anything below that is fine.
